I can’t believe this didn’t last more than one season. This is genius tv and before KUWTK and The Hills. Spencer is listed as an executive producer. He knew playing the bad boy villain would make good tv.
Davis is the most patient father. Those boys were lucky to have him, now watching The Hills gives me greater insight into why Brody and Spencer are the way they are.
Yea brody and Spencer suck, but David sucks just as much . He’s a terrible person. And spencer admitted on call her daddy podcast that Linda ( the mom) told the boys how she caught David cheating on her in his studio , while they were first filming , and they wre secretly getting a divorce , but she acted like they were cool for the sake of the show. Then when the show aired, they publicly admitted the divorce . David is a serial cheater . He wasn’t even there for his own daughters . He’s def a terrible husband and father .
@@mareek2007 didn’t they live with their mom like most kids did 20yrs ago bc it was hard for dads to get custody? Brody and Brandon lived w/ their mom which included David. Could he have been a better dad to his daughters? I’m sure of it, but his daughters not living with him was likely the courts decision and his daughters being loyal to their mom.
@@bre0413 They didn’t even have a room in his huge Mansion and it really bothered one of the daughters.Maybe I’m just from a different Country and culture but it’s Rare to see Dads be more present for step kids than bio kids where I’m from.People ,especially men ,prioritize their own kids .They love other kids but their own comes first.Most men would resent spending more time with a step kid than their own child so a child not having a room in their father’s house baffles me.

So, my dad has and back then had a nice well kept house. I dropped out of college for a year. He said, "you can live here as a PT worker & student. Anything else you have to leave." In Linda Thompson's memoir, she says that David made this whole plot up about her sons being spoiled as a cathartic way to get back and how he had to take care of them all their lives and how Caitlyn Jenner (then Bruce) barely contributed financially and emotionally. She claimed that the boys were not spoiled or entitled like that, but I can see that she was probably overcompensating for their father not being there.
Spencer joined The Hills to ruin Lauren, Audrina, and Heidis friendship as a joke and to have fun but it all turned real and he became a psychopath. That’s how he and Brody had falling out
him and brody fell out after brody started hooking up with lauren lol lauren hated spencer and ruined that friendship...but they hashed it out.........
I saw an. interview with Spencer and he is clever. He knows what you need to bring for a good storyline in a reality show. I deffo went to far on the hills, and the money/ fam went to his head. Bus still, he really played his role out. You can see it already here. David's role really annoys me!!

I lived in Calif for 40 yrs and I can attest to that there are tons of spoiled kids rich kids out there who feel entitled to whatever their parents have & have no shame in spending their parent's money, they expect it!...A lot of ppl are saying this is scripted but believe me, its not that much of stretch...

David Foster looked hot back then. I liked him much more here than on Real Housewives when he was married to Yolanda. He seemed more down to earth than the fake person he has turned into.

I understand why this program was cancelled immediately after it premiered. Every episode is THE SAME plot. Then entire thing was scripted, rehearsed and planned in advance. There is no "reality" in this alleged "reality TV show". Linda Thompson Jenner made an entire career by dating and marrying rich men who were zillionaire celebrities, but all her stories are SO WORN OUT - I mean how many times can she keep dredging up that she was a beauty queen 50 years ago - and keep on regurgitating the "How I Met Elvis Story". She is "Famous for Being Famous" but has NO talent. She seems like she "loves" her two sons, but they are aimless, freeloading moochers who will always be financially sponging off of her. The two sons were basically abandoned by Bruce Jenner when the and Linda got divorced - Bruce Jenner also walked away from his children he had from his first wife - Chrystie Jenner - yes, he paid child support - but had zero contact with any of his kids from his two first marriages. That probably explains some of the back story why these two sons are such a HOT MESS. Abandonment issues from their biological father rejecting them, ignoring them and how Bruce Jenner went on to start a brand new family with Kris Jenner - Bruce Jenner spent loads of time, affection, attention on all the Kardashian kids when he married Kris Jenner. I know it really deeply emotionally wounded all the kids he had from his first and second marriages - that their biological father did not love them - but he loved his Kardashian step children immensely and lavished lots of love and affection on them. Good for David Foster for divorcing Linda Thompson. I hope to God that he had a rock solid prenuptual agreement - because I really DO NOT think Linda Thompson Jenner deserved 50% of all his financial assets. Doubt she ever cooked a meal, or did one load of laundry in 25 years of marriage. It looks like Linda Thompson was waited on hand and foot by a huge staff who did 100% of the work to keep the household going. Linda Thompson Jenner could earn a living post-divorce and financially support herself by getting a job in a plastic surgeons office advising potential what NOT to do - in order not to look EMBALMED with a frozen face. She does not deserve "Spousal Support" alimony!
Colleen Whalen while I can agree with the majority of what you said....if you would take time to educate yourself (which I have done because I felt much like you), Linda Thompson wrote all of the lyrics to the songs that David wrote the music for. He would not have those Grammys or the other big hits he has without her award winning lyrics. I'm no fan of hers. I actually like her less after reading her book but she does have a couple of attributes to her credit: She LOVED her kids. And She is an excellent lyrics writer. She deserved half of everything the couple earned because she did half of the work. If you look it up, she has written and co-written a lot of songs that I had no idea she wrote.

I love this show... It sux him and Spencer aren't friends. The old hills broke their friendship maybe the new one can repair it. Especially that him and Kaitlyn aren't together..
they are friends if your in la you know him and brody are tight... lauren kind of ruined that friendship after she hooked up with brody and that pissed spencer off but they only fell out like tht cuz in reality spencer got married young... spencer hung out with hedi more and brody was hooking with la elite girls.. spencer did not want to do that all of his 20's and 30's... it gets annoying after awhile...
As a kid I'd love to have her as a mother, but as an adult I can see she spoils too much...Someone said she is over compensating for Bruce Jenner who pushed them aside to raise Kris Kardashian kids & added 2 more to the mix ...I can see that.
