Step 1:Claim you are sick. Step 2:vomit on his desk and over his lap. Step 3:Claim you will stay. If he does not force you to go home and still allow you to go, sue the school over violation of rights.
Blake don't have kids... They will grow up manipulative, entitled brats, who work the system. And reasonable people don't sue over tardies and a dance, they spend their free time enjoying life.
@@kevinmoynihan5118 Kevin, theres 2 kinds of people in this world. Those who get it and those who don't. It would be a waste of my time to debate this tardy thing with you. You dont get it you never will. You were probably raised by a "Christina" mom, so theres no point in going back and fourth with you.
Get your damn child to school on time and you wouldn’t need to unleash your wrath... just as much the dumb ass parents fault. A dance isn’t as important as school. Your a fool
@@adamclark9253 Imagine thinking that school is important. They don't teach you anything you need in life. Not to mention some people have issues getting to school. I had a friend who often missed 1st period because he had to take public transport to get there. And the policy in this video is autistic. This kid doesn't deserve any sort of punishment.
The girl was wanting to go home from being sick, BUT she was also on ISS and ALSO wanted to go to prom. As you know on that school, ISS doesn't go easy on sick days or other kind of absences.
I threw up before a pepper-ally and the nurse told me to deal with it i wasn't about to sit in a sweaty gross gym with loud noises i would of ditched because it was at the end of the day but every adult i talked to gave me this face like i was lying just to get out when i was really just fed up
@Matthew Cox how is he being a jerk? If he made an exception for her and allowed her to go the prom, that would not be fair to all of the other people who didn't get that privilege. You break the rules, you pay the price, it's that simple. No one said life was 'fair'
@@stephenwilson2899 My school would not allow you to go to the fall dance event or to Prom in the spring not just in the instance you had more than 10 unexcused absences or tardies, but also if you had major disciplinary referrals, or multiple disciplinary referrals. I never reached those levels where I was not allowed to attend the dance events. I wasn’t really in trouble that much at school.
I know, right? I think I missed more days of high school than I actually attended and 90% of the time I was high when I did show up. And I still graduated on time. Shows the difference between super strict schools and schools that don’t care I guess
That’s unfair for her if she’s sick that’s not her fault and she’s posing a health hazard to other students she should be allowed to make up ISS Monday and go to prom 🤦🏼♂️
Cole George that doesn’t excuse the fact that she was sick no ones saying she shouldn’t be punished but she should not be at school when she’s sick simple
Andrew B she clearly is to sick to go to prom then. If you are to sick to be at school especially if you’re in trouble then you shouldn’t be allowed to go to prom
Cole George 😂 she doesn’t have to be sick for a weekend people can be sick for just one day She didn’t do anything ridiculous to be in ISS in the first place she was being punished for a simple issue which can be resolved Monday it doesn’t matter how many days she has missed prom is important and she deserves to be able to intend considering if she wasn’t sick she would’ve been able to School is not the military it’s not a job it’s a place to learn and I’m sure she learned the risks of being tardy allow her leeway to go to prom
Andrew B if you’re suspended from school you shouldn’t be allowed to attend a school function. It’s the way it is. She knew that. If she wants to go to prom she should suck it up or in the first place not be late 7 times. It’s pretty simple.
I know why Jessica cried uncontrollably and flipped out at him cause he should care about other things in this world but that Handbook cause Steve Halter here treats this world like shit and he better realize that since he cares about that fucking handbook that ain’t your life Steve you are gonna left lonely by people if you think that’s your life and don’t care about anything that is the Warning I have for Steve Halter
I think it is from the early to mid 1900s. My guess would be that the schools would just send the kids home and let the parents deal with them and discipline them how they see fit. With my generation it was just a day off.
I agree that she should have gotten the in school suspension for the tardies but not being able to go to prom because she is sick and has to go home is way over the top.
She made the choice to be late. I have no sympathy for her. People like the 3 of you are why kids think rules don't apply to them. Please don't have kids and if you do give them up for adoption
@@akahaney1 Who the fuck gives you the right to tell someone to give their baby up for adoption fuck is wrong with you?? 7 lates in one school year isn't that bad that's less than 2 lates per quarter fuck outta here with your dumb ass.
It wasn't the principal's fault that it was the policy. The school district makes the rules. He can only enforce the rules. If she needed to talk to somebody about going to prom, she should've gone to the school district for it. If they didn't cut slack then she should do something. But sense she just went to the principal, it only lead to this. If he would've let her go, he could get fired.
I would grab a trash can and sleep on the floor until the day is over and if someone tells me to wake up then I would pretend like I passed out and stop listening
"Rules are rules" is bull. This principal could end up getting other students sick and/or wasting Jessica hundreds of dollars. Sometimes, following the letter of the rules is wrong. January 25, 2014
Maybe, she wouldn't have been in that mess if she wasn't late to class 7 times. This is totally on her. It's called self accountability. In the real world, if she was not in school but on the job...she wouldn't have had a job anymore. She would have been terminated for excessive tardiness. Most jobs are 3-5 days. Not 7. She made her bed, now she has to sleep in it. Put yourself in the other persons place. You own a business. The person who's supposed to open up is late. You don't get up and running in time. You fall behind because the shop didn't open up early. You either fail to make the deadline, or have to pay overtime to complete the contract. If you're late, you get fined, and may lose the contract. You pay overtime, your profit margin is sliced, or non-existent. You go out of business. So yes, attendance counts. This is why they harp on it in school. To get you accustomed to being ontime. She's failing to learn that important lesson
Zack Attack she also spent 200$ and probably more. to most people in high school it’s a big deal to make memories with your friends and even some who are graduating that year. she also didn’t say it was the most important day to her, just to a lot of girls it’s something they want to go to since they were children.
“We don’t negotiate in this school” if I were I’d be like, “we can negotiate alright” then puke all over him and his desk and be like, “so should I leave? Or am I still going to prom?”
If this was my daughter, not only would that principal have hell to pay but I would pull my daughter out of that school and have her homeschooled. This is why public schools are unsafe and unhealthy for our children.
My mom used to work at a store with a manager who was similar to that principle. She pretty much wouldn’t let anyone take any time off unless they were like, dying. So one day one of my moms coworkers got the stomach flu and was literally throwing up every few minutes, but came in to work anyway even though she knew she wouldn’t get anything done and could get others sick because she was too afraid the manager would punish her for not coming in.
Where I work at, we did have a guy who was sick and was vomiting, unfortunately, he had used up all his sick, vacation and personal hours and had he called out sick, he would've been fired. Losing your job is a bit more severe of a punishment than missing Prom, just saying. They gave him a trash can and told him to keep working. On the other hand, we had a woman who kicked what she thought was a black and white cat that was rummaging through her garbage cans. The "cat" turned out to be a skunk, which retaliated on that woman with everything it had. This woman wanted to get the perfect attendance bonus so she arrived smelling like Pepe le Pew. They GAVE her a vacation day and threw her ass out.
Encouraging people to work when they can get other people sick is just as stupid as what is happening in this video. Just because your company does that, doesn't make it right. Both cases are bullshit.
She should be lucky she can still go to prom with 5 days of suspension! At my school if you get 2 separate suspensions or accumulate 3 or more days in one single suspension than you loose your privileges for prom, winter formal, homecoming, senior banquet, and parking
The Prom is on the weekend. He is saying that while you're serving an ISS sentence, you can't attend any after school functions. So if her last day of ISS is Monday, her sentence isn't over so she can't attend Prom. Principal is a jerk, He could have done something to work this out.
I went to an elementary school that was like this. I am determined now as an adult to NEVER send my children to a school like that or this. I was miserable in elementary school.
5 days of ISS for a few tardies? that's like a huge punishment Watching stuff like this makes me realize how relaxed my school is. There is no rule on the books saying "if you have x tardies, then y will happen" I literally show up late to like half of my classes and half of teachers don't even count tardies. Last year I tried to set "the school record" for the most amount of tardies, school had only been in session for like a month and I got to 58, and finally I got called in and I got 1 day of ISS lol. My school has 8 periods, with around 180 school days I easily could have gotten a thousand.
Principal Halter has a point. She did not look to the consequences of her actions. If she had just gotten to class on time 5 more times, she wouldn’t have to choose between prom and “staying at school while I’m really sick”. The rule says you cannot attend an after school function. The fact that it happened to be prom is not only a poor choice of time to commit an offence, but her entire fault. She had no one to blame for this but herself.
I agree with you Max,Mr Halter made a great point and I agree with his decision. There is always a consequence for bad choices that students makes and if she wasn’t late to class 7 times then both of them wouldn’t be having this conversation.
That princable is beyond stricted. He cares more his job than the actual student. The students should always come first. I don't think he cares about the feeling of others.
I remember when I was in high school when I got disoriented in detention b/c someone sprayed perfume and it made me sick to the point that I left a trail of puke in the hall way and I passed out that they did a code blue but the weird part was when the principal carried me and saying its ok baby girl. Calling me baby girl that weird
When I was a senior in high school, we didn't have to take final exams, but English was required for all 4 years, and even if you had enough credits to graduate, if you didn't pass English all 4 years, you did not walk down that hill. But the teacher assigned us a term paper, which would have counted for 20% of our final grade, and she said that there was a strict deadline of 2pm on the due date, and if you did not hand it in by that time, you got a zero. I remember even asking her what happens if you are absent from school, and she said 'if you are on your death bed, you might as well die'. Now, we all thought that was harsh, but years later, I realized there was a good reason she did that. She was trying to prepare us for the real world. In the real world, at a job, we have deadlines, and if you miss a deadline, forget just getting a zero for the assignment. You would almost definitely get fired, and you could also cause a lawsuit and/or heavy fines, especially if it is a government regulation. I was glad that I learned at an early age about the importance of getting things done on time, because if I hadn't, I would not be where I am today, because in the real world, you don't get any slack. You either sink or swim, and if you sink, there are probably 100 other people out there that would love to have your job
In the real world, you get sick days. And if you end up in a situation like the one you're describing, you have the ability and every right to get another job where you're treated like a human being.
Rosalina Melchar It's not about whether you like dresses and dancing and all that. It's a night to make memories with your friends at the end of a huge milestone in your life. There's also after prom parties and all the jazz. It's a good chance to have some fun and let loose with people. Not telling you how to live, just that I don't think you should cross it off your list just yet.
damn thats not what he said on the principal's office. thats very surprising! Seeing the show makes me appreciate being out of school. Been done since Dec 2004!
What do you mean I know about the tardies? It was only 7 all year why do people actually think she deserves ISS for that? No amount of tardies should result in ISS when it gets really excessive which 7 isn't I understand detention but a suspension is absurd whether its in school or out of school it is ridiculous.
I remember vomiting all over my school books in front of other students and my teacher, when I was in first grade. I was 6 at that time. (Early 1980s) and I remember having to go to the nurses office. My parents had to buy me a new school book.
Actions have consequences. The sooner in life you learn this, the better off you will be. Even if you have to suffer though a week of being sick at school, throwing up, and getting everyone else sick, in order to make it to prom 😂
I think it’s good that the principal in this video was enforcing the rules, because for all, I know, she could’ve been making up the whole story about being sick. 😊😊
What angers me here is this: when a lady places her forearm across her abdomen, looks distressed and pale, then a normal gentleman will assume that she has pain with her monthly period. This girl states 'she is not well' which is how ladies express this medical state, whilst avoid specificity. This knucklehead and thick principal did not pick up these signs as any normal guy would. What is wrong with him? The poor girl is in pain, thoroughly upset and penalized for triviality.... how this dense man could not see she had period pain is beyond me. He should not be in the job of principal.
@Stalicone Your statement makes so much sense considering that I make straight A's at a top ranked school. I spelled every word correctly except the one that is a curse word because i try to avoid cursing. In case you didn't know, effect and impact mean the same thing. Just because you are "insecure or unconfident or uncertain or diffedent or self-doubting" about your education doesn't mean you have to try to act smart. Hope you liked reading that sentence as much as I liked reading yours.
You don't get ISS for being tardy! If this were my child, I'd be at the school board meeting about this. I'd say a few words to the unorthodox clown or clowns that made this. Detention is fine, but not this.
