He recently ragged on Logan for inquiring why Jakes team banned any mention of Prime. However, can't see how it could be a problem with his relationship with the Update drink whilst working on Prime sponsored events. Which was not even at the level of banning Update, they literally mentioned once, that he was affiliated with a rival drinks company. Old Wade come out fighting back asking what it has to do with anything. I guess it only matters, when it's not lining his own pockets, am I right? Mams is a cunt of the highest order. Idk man I'm kind of with Misfits on this one. Slim made so many demands for the Papi fight, then just kept demanding more. It's practically a mirror image of Fury v Usyk. Slim wanted Papi to come down to a weight he didn't think he could make, and when Papi agreed he started demanding pay he knew Misfits couldn't give him. I think it's pretty damn obvious what he's doing, he's trying to avoid this fight without outright saying it.

Yeah I don't really agree with Wade's take on how they devalued Slim. If they treated this as professionally as possible and only ever said "Slim has turned down the fight due to the money" then the fans would've had the EXACT same reaction and Slim still would've been devalued just as hard. It's shouldn't have to be Misfits' responsibility to save the reputation of someone who doesn't want to take big fights and overvalues themselves, honestly it's refreshing that the promotion is more open about their frustrations so that we get a clearer picture as to what's going on behind the scenes and why certain fights can/can't happen.

My opinion is they’ve probably given out 70-80% of the budget on the 4 fighters in the main event and co-main. They’re trying to get the best fights on the undercard but the budget is drying out. And because they had people like Slim accept negotiations in past fights on Misfits quite easily, they thought they could take the piss giving him rubbish pay. Slim has every right to decline the offer. And don’t want this to come across as sexist and I mean it not in that way at all, but this is why the undercard is apparently full of women fights. Yes it’s good to get more women on the card to show their potential. But they’re more vulnerable to accept rubbish purse compared to men fighters, because the women will get offered less and they’ll accept it. Meaning misfits budget will be met in the end.

Forget being a fighter for a second. If you were a part of a contract deal and the company you were dealing with started airing that contract out here, there and everywhere, you would run away fast. I understand the frustration of the fans and of misfits, but I don't think giving a person an ultimatum to fight someone is really fair on anyone. They basically chokeholded him into "fight Salt Papi or f**k off". This has been done to noone, and with all due respect to people like Leon Wills, he has previously himself said to let Deji get ready before he can fight people like Salt when Deji has more experience in the game than both of them combined. Another point is that promoters of Happypunch (Keem) seem to have a good tug on the strings of how misfits is run, so it is unsurprising that Salt Papi is being thrown at someone. I completely agree with arrogance on paychecks from Slim's end, but I genuinely think this is just frustration from him into being cornered into a forced fight. All the love, and I hope this gets settled peacefully between Misfits & Slim.

I think at the moment the deal is kind of irrelevant, the main thing I find is that there needs to be alot less ego and alot more professionalism from misfits management. This whole ordeal should not be public at the very least.
I agree with Wade and Sensei on the way Twitter shouldn't be used for negotiations and publicly outing people. Mams did it to Gib when he had an NDA with Kingpyn, him and Keemstar did it to Slim with the $200k, and Mams said he didn't want to leak any private details yet did so anyways. It really sucks that we don't have any proper way of hearing it from Slim, like contract details or anything like that since I'd take what Mams says with a grain of salt. But even so, I think it was a good idea for the small council to want this fight. I don't think it's Mams trying to shy away from accountability of what's going on with Slim since both RoundHouse and Leon seem to agree. Overall, I don't like the way Mams handled everything but if it's true Slim is not satisfied with $200k then I think it's really on him. I have to agree with Misfits if you look at slim’s behaviour since misfits 004 you can clearly see the guy doesn’t want the Papi fight. After Misfits 004 when Slim knew people were gonna call for the Papi fight he conveniently drops the belt and goes down to an easier division at 165 where his biggest challenge would be Jay Swingler(before he retired). He knew how stacked 170-175 was so he opted to go back down for easier fights. Misfits then accommodate him by making Papi drain himself and go down to 165 and now his excuse is his purse.
