here is the actual story of what happened and why justins team or justin or whoever decided to do this. some of you are probably familiar with an indie funk band called vulfpeck. vulfpeck is a huge model in the music industry as far as marketing goes, they aren't really mainstream or anything but they are hugely successful in the industry and many would argue the most successful independent band of all time. one of the things they did that made waves for their name was an interesting was to fund one of their tours a few years ago. they wanted all admissions for all shows on this tour to be free, so they released an album called "sleepily". this album contained 10 short songs that were completely silent. they asked fans to stream this album on repeat every night while they were sleeping so that vulfpeck could gain enough revenue to fund the free tour under the same name. they initially received around $20,000 dollars and were able to fund the tour, made a huge amount of headlines and publicity. Spotify has since then removed the album, but obviously you see my point in this whole situation.
The thing is, this song is only gonna do well because he has major radio payola. Radio is the main thing that keeps songs charting. It had over 70 MILLION audience impressions in 7 days.......radio does not deserve to make or break what is a hit. There’s songs that aren’t even in the top 50 streaming yet stays top 10 on the Billboard 100 because of radio....
Philip Moore yea hes a great singer and has great potential but hes been ‘given’ fame since he was 13 years old. Puffy_ninja new england’s in US (massachusetts, rhode island, connecticut, etc all make up “new england”) its a whole controversy on the disease cuz it varies in severity some people get it and it isnt THAT bad and others get it and its debilitating. but because the testing for it sucks, many drs are quick to diagnose u w shit like fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome instead of lyme itself. the current diagnostic guidelines only cover the acute version of lyme so when u go to get the medication for it, u have to pay out of pocket, at least thts been my experience w it. not sure about how it is elsewhere, i think its more easier to treat and get it covered in canada so again lucky for bieber

This reminds me of when Tool’s last album dropped and took the number 1 spot from Taylor Swift’s “Lover”. While swift didn’t do anything bad, her fans, not understanding how something other than pop could be better than Swift, were all over social media telling people to do these kinds of streaming tactics just so they can knock down Tool’s album while simultaneously dissing the album and anybody who listens to it. This kind of negative energy and close mindedness in the realm of music really bothers me and it seems to be more intense as time goes on.
