Revolver Alu 60 and 64mm wheels are the newest wheels from Locoskates, a leading skate shop based in the UK. They are 88a and use an elliptical profile. Available here: www.locoskates... and here: www.locoskates...
I prefer these to the famous metal core wheels I skated them on my usd carbons for around 4 months and they ended up pointy and shite . But the revolvers I've had these for even longer and they still gave the shape and they just feel so good
Hi! Those two sizes were in teh lineup yes... just not available at the moment apologies (no dates on that either, I'd have a look at some other brands in those sizes so you arent waiting around too long).
The big issue I have had with alu wheels have been cores that are inconsistent. One the bearing slides in easy the next I break a bunch of bearings. Super exciting to see what these are like!
Would be fun with Oysi setups. Loco, would love it if you'd also consider larger aluminum-core wheels (like 72 or 80). Will be buying some of these new ones soon!
Are the cores more round than plastic? No matter how much money I spend, plastic cores always seem to wobble and vibrate. It's annoying when skating on smooth surfaces.
Yes, they'd be more round when there is load on them. I imagine this would likely be the case uneven when they are not loaded because plastic is more prone to warp when cooling.
This is amazing and an absolute bargain, I'll be picking up a fresh set of these at some point. I really want to get some metal core 125mm wheels but there is only one company that makes these (Bont) and they are £200 for a set of 6 and are only available in pink! Maybe 125mm wheels just aren't as popular but it would be amazing to get an affordable set of metal core ones that aren't pink
It’s good to hear that the wheel peeling issue may have been a single batch. I was put off by them as 2 of my wheels last year peeled after only a couple skates. Next wheel replacement I may have to try them again.
Genuine question, how do you service the bearings if they have been pressed in so tight or are the bearings not meant to be serviced and only have a short life span. Looking for some new wheels and bearings That's all.
You'd usually expect the bearings in an aggressive wheel to outlive the life of the wheel, so no need to service them (just dont skate through puddles!). Once the wheel is at the end of it's life you'd dispose of both wheels and bearings and start over :-)
