I don't mind the missions being scripted to that point. The game offers you so much freedom outside of the missions, it feels like a good balance. I definitely understand your point, though.
The issue with rdr2 is that the game holds your hand way too much, there's so many simple missions that could let you do whatever aside from dialogs but if you deviate slightly from what the game tells you, you'll fail, i love rdr2 but hand holding is just not my cup of tea
tell me you stopped on ch2 without telling me you stopped on ch2 either that or your idea of hand holding is stopping you from doing what your not supposed to do in a given situation i find that both playthroughs i had many different discoveries its about how you go about dealing with the mission if you try to got the opposite way your supposed to go of course theyre gonna set you right if their was no guidance you would get ost and be stuck on every mission you 14 yr olds needa stop acting like you know game design
@@rize_viperzz5818 my point is that the game is restrictive as in you have to follow or do missions exactly what the game tells you to, I don't mind having multiple ways of completing it, but failing because I didn't do exactly what it told me to is just annoying, if you played gta 5 storymode you'll know exactly what I'm talking about, also age has nothing to do with it.
I've always said that RDR1 is the better game, while RDR2 is the better cowboy experience. Both are great, but one just lends itself to be picked up and played more easily than the other
Depends RDR2 has some better quest design then one but it depends on the quest. RDR2 is the better open world game RDR 1 has a hardcore mode so combat wise it's more engaging. but what you can do in RDR2 and things like Fist fighting and Horse riding makes it a better game then one also Arthus movement is better then one.
Sidenote, I also don't like how the game still wants to paint Arthur the way he is even in low honor. The game doesn't feel as transformative. Meanwhile in GTA V, at least the story and how important NPCs react to you changes if you choose Options A or B. Honestly, if I rewrote the game I'd add to the story by making Low Honor Arthur align with Dutch more. That means no rescuing John or siding with Charles, and maybe more missions with the rest of the gang.
But Arthur not rescuing John means he dies. The only reason John is alive in the first place is Arthur. Back in Sisika he'd been hanged and right in the end, he would've been caught without Arthur halting the rest. I think the reason Arthur is painted in that light, even though he's low honor, is to keep RDR1's timeline as consistent as possible, regardless of Arthur's honor.
Nah Low honour Arthur is still great he is more selfish and bitter but still cares about John. He even plans to Rob Dutch I can see your but the Arthur and Dutch conflict works better. Low Honour Arthur is allot like Willaim Munny from unforgiven.
This true in some cases but there some really well designed missions like Robbing a house with Hosea and many more. The world event ecounters are really well designed with many having mutiple outcomes. There is one ecounter with guy trying to kill his wife you can kill him or tie him up and hand him in. If you let the guy kill his wife and turn him in this triggers an ecounter were he is hanged. When it comes to main missions its a mixed bag in some but the linear mission allow for better story telling and making some unique quests. Ubisoft started to give players more freedom in quests and they all feel uneventful and most people can not remember quests in it. Kingdom Come does it the right way unlike Witcher 3 you get some many immersive sim ways to solve a quest while a game like Witcher 3 will give you a story choice but the actually gameplay would give you little freedom. The likes of Kingdom Come and New Vegas are great in this regard. Its really not Black and white good or bad their benefits to both types of design.
Gta 4,: do the mission any way you want gta 5: If you leave your car you fail gta online: don't get off the jetpack or else rdr: don't get off your horse or you fail gta 6: use your special vehicle or you fail😂
