Demon Slayer Season 4 is in the works right now. But I have some concerns about the upcoming season. Will it disappointed fans? Join my discord: / discord You could also find me at: / wongdiggidy
I don’t give a damn how this season ends. Just wanna see how fucking good Kokushibo’s moon breathing effects will be placed, they already look bad ass in black and white.
@@jonseygg7628fr, the action and animation was just no where near the same quality level, and of course the story and characters kinda suck as to demon slayer standards
I want Hashira Training Arc to pull a Vinland Saga Season 2 and be very character focused and give characters (especially Tanjiro) room to breathe and add deeper layers to everyone.
The next arc "Infinity Castle" isn't the final arc, it's the "Sunrise Countdown" arc. Now, with the first episode being an hour special, the entire Training arc will be covered in just 4 episodes. The question remains, how many episodes will Season 4 have? If it's 11 episodes similar to the 2 previous seasons, it will also cover 40% of "Infinity Castle" arc and end around chapter 157, covering 30 chapters similar to the previous seasons. But Ufotable could also just end the season on a cliffhanger at the end of the Hashira Training arc, and cover the Infinity Castle Arc as a trilogy of film's similar to "Fate:Heaven's Feel" movies, or just adapt the "Infinity Castle" Arc as a 2 cour tv anime production next year.
Yes I should have phrased it as the Final Battle Arc which is comprised of both the arcs you mentioned. Regardless of that, my point still stands which is what you’ve written in your comment as well. The short nature of the Hashira arc and the potential to leave on a cliffhanger which I’m not the biggest fan of. Hence the title of the video and also my theories on how the season will play out
I should add that the possibility of continuing the adaptation to the next arc is possible but as far as we know it’s not official yet so based on the information we have now, that’s why season 4 is lackluster
Do you prefer if they continued? I think it would be a good place to end on to set up a banger final season. But I could see the possibility of showing a bit more of the infinity castle arc that isn’t quite the “climax”
That's the best place to end the arc. Demon slayer loves to blue ball the audience, and if they end it with Muzan's head cut off, the balls will be indigo blue 💙💙💙
My biggest issue with Demon Slayer is it has always been to focused on the action. Ive hated that I dont get to breath and live with these characters outside of battle. This season is going to help fix that, and I am here for it.
Ι think studios are aware that some seasons can be weaker than others but that could be a good thing as when season 5 comes they will all go ''Oh, it's super great now guus''
Yeah it’s super unrealistic to have banger after banger after banger arcs so hopefully other ppl get that too. That’s why I’m hoping for a slower season 4 so that the final season is the mega banger
I personally would not mind a small filler arc to fill out the season. To get a bit more attached to the characters and flesh them out before well... spoilers They all get fucking massacred
Considering the length of the last 2 arcs, I can see why the Training Arc might not be worth it as a stand alone, so I think it might actually go straight into the Infinite Castle arc... Unless of course, as you said, they cover a lot more of the character's backstory during the Training Arc, which would be cruel considering the outcome of the Final Arc...
That makes it even better 😈 In the sense that there’s more emotional connection tot the characters (psst I talk about this more in my new video actually)
Anything, and I mean *anything* would be better than having just a 4 episode season that ends on the mother of all cliffhangers. They should adapt the Infinity Castle arc for season 4, and save the finale for next year. HOWEVER, something that's not touched on in in the video is that Ufotable have only had 8 months since the last season ended (normally there's about 1 year between each season), so they may very well make this season shorter and then have the first half of the final battle air later this year.
Despite how much I want to see the early fights of the infinity castle early and would love to see the show cover parts of it in season 4, heres what it SHOULD focus on: Kanao and Tanjiro were implied to have a relationship in the future, and they've gotten a whopping 2 scenes togeather between mugen and swordsmith. Zenitsu and Inosuke's backstories were brushed on in season 1, but the info on them we've gotten is sparse since most of their scenes are supposed to be comical. Mitsuri, Rengoku, Tokito, Shinobu, and Tengen: These are the Hashira that HAVE had focus and therefore need less focus than the rest. For Season Four to be good, the Hashira Training Arc needs to BE the Hashira Training Arc: As in the show slows down after two of it's roughest seasons (gyotaro/daki and gyokko/hantengu fights) to finalize any and all development of it's characters before the final arc. This is the showrunners LAST CHANCE to get anyone and everyone watching to CARE about the characters. Demon Slayer's focus on characterization is great, but the constant use of backstories feels cheap and gets tiresome after the 11th major use of one in 3 seasons of a show plus a movie, and the best part about demon slayer season one (in my opinion) was its ability to naturally pump adrenaline during the intense fights and then slowly cool down with the characters just interacting with each other before amping up the action again. Hashira Training Arc NEEDS to be slow, so we can get the last of these characters before they meet the end of the show.
You’re so right about the interaction between characters. When I was reading the manga, they don’t really show much of Kanao and Tanjiro. Like it felt like they were gonna get together but it seemed like an afterthought. We never saw real chemistry or that relationship develop.
@@wongdiggidy6542 I have a 21 page script written for a video on how I would retool the entertainment district arc to make kanao go with them so they can have more interactions earier
@@mr_blank4413 wow that would be a crazy alternate universe type of thing. sounds interesting tbh especially since tengen was originally looking for girls to be spies
Well u r ryt fortunately. There more scenes lyk filler scenes in the hashira training arc. I saw sanemi and iguro partening together which was NOT in the manga which is good tbh
After getting this video recommended 5 months later and the season already premiering by 4 episodes, I can say they're handling this very well. There's a lot of juicy combat and visual involved with very good storytelling and unique content not found in the manga, and there's gonna probably be more big changes to the anime version in later episodes i'm guessing personal opinion but ngl this season might be better than season 3
Well according to the leak the fourth season will have 8 episodes and this is the most possible since the series premieres on May 12, in Japan the anime seasons last the block of the season, that is to say that being a spring anime, Kimetsu will be on air until July, and before July considering its premiere date there are 8 Sundays, so everything indicates that it will indeed be 8 episodes. Now we can get an idea of how they are going to adapt it thanks to the TV version of the Infinity Train arc, the Infinity Train arc lasts 13 episodes in the manga, while the Pillar Training lasts 12 episodes (including when Muzan arrives at Ubuyashiki's house, which thanks to the leaked opening we already know that it will be adapted) that is to say it goes from ch 128 - 139, that is one episode less than the Infinity Train, and the latter in its anime to TV adaptation was 6 episodes, so of completely canonical material the training arc pillar gives for six episodes, lengthening and adding original scenes, but knowing that there will be 8 episodes, that means that we will have two completely original episodes (the TV version of the train, had an original episode) and thus fill the quota of filling the 8 Sundays, I think they will be episodes focused on training since in the manga we really saw very few of them.
Actually they did a good job with season 3 because if they would have made action sequences like season 2 part 1 and 2 , audience won't feel any difference in 3, it may could have led them into complete failure, so they approached screenplay in different way....
Turning Season 4 into a movie would've been stupid because sure, there'd be some action in the beginning and end(i've seen leaks) there really isnt nearly enough for it to be an interesting 2 hour movie on its own. Its definitely better as just 3-5 episodes as Season 4.
i think they would add to this season alot of taisho era secrets to make it a little bit more longer if they are intending on only doing a cliff hanger for the next season
bro the reason the hashira arc was rushed was because the mangaka was going through a lot in their life and was scared that they wouldnt be able to finish their manga. there is plenty of light novel and side content they can add to the season to that the 9 chapters are more filling. Gosh, let us bond with the characters before the infinity castle and sunrise countdown.
since the first episode is now out and we still don’t have confirmation of how long the season is (which is extremely rare for anime), either they’re trying to hide that this season will literally be four or five episodes long; or the second half will be the next arc after this one. since he first episode was 48 minutes and covered three chapters (two full and two half) they’re already at a slower pace. they have 6 chapters worth of content left to adapt, and assuming each episode will cover 1.5 chapters per 24 minutes as the first one did, we literally only have 4 more episodes of this season left. unless we get onto the next arc.
I feel like the season is gonna be good cuz the hashira training arc ends in a cliffhanger so if people just give it time they will definitely enjoy the season
Ok here my take 1 gyokko and hantengu are both strong characters gyokko is stronger then gyutaro here the thing tho if you read the manga of how uppermoons think above each other uppermoon 1 said it better himself gyokko is a strong demon and useful one too but he said he needs to learn how to fight better and stop using his powers more then his fist or close up unlike gyutaro who a fighter and use weapons for hantengu he mostly use his clones for his work each have there personality sad one doesn't want to do anything joy and pleasure are playing around and having fun angry and hatred wants to get the job done and not to mention both mitsuri and muichiro are both stong characters because both there strength and there special like muichiro wears baggy clothes because it hides both his arms and legs demons dont know what he gonna do or go and for mitsuri she very flexible she she can Dodge and stuff and the mark uzui lost his hand and eye and gyutaro and uzui have both same weapons not to mention they all gotten stronger amd gyokko love to praises himself and he evil no humanity but gyutaro shares his food with his sister and he spare people who also have it hard like him he only eats people who have good lives not to get the marks 2 people dont like when anime have fun you know its what happens with both mha and spy x family where mha have have the festival arc and spy x family darker the better the more fun and happy it is it bad thsts why people didn't like the gear 5 on luffy and what i saw on the comment the creator had like a family issues but the people didn't want them to go they want them to finish it get it done thats why it was rushed 3 Ds gonna have fillers about to get closer to the characters and explain some stuff its gonna be war like calm before the storm it gonna be calm before the storm in way some people love cliffhanger if its done right and for the darker equal better back to mha look at deku alot of people hate his characters for being soft same thing with ken from tokyo ghoul and tanjiro early design when he had no no legs 1 arm they like these characters because they have a dark arc same with eren and yuji hell killua and vegeta and bakugou gets more love then the funny main character thats why i most people dont like this season is not because of pace or anything else tk complain about its fact uppermoons are not as dangerous as uppermoons 6 even they should hate the pacing more anyway good video nice job sorry for some mistakes but here my take
Good points. I completely agree with the first point. That’s exactly what my video on Gyokko was about. And that kinda relates to your other point as well how people prefer more action and that’s one of the reasons why Season 3 wasn’t rated as highly
@wongdiggidy6542 yea the fact is we anime fans are having a greats timed we are getting spoiled to death each anime is a banger great animation and new characters we are loving it but problem is people are so crazy about one anime people would crap on it even when it's not the creator or anime fault people just want more and more it's like the jjk mappa say the fan art is better then the tralier and the bug fight was bad it's like they don't want mappa people to go home as a anime since in was kid I seen so much different characters and the fact that people don't put piece together they just want to see everything I think that's problem with anime people are spoiled and crap on anime for anything
As a manga reader, I agree that this Hashira season should not be a season. should be only 3 episodes.... but the best is yet to come. I hope they animate the rest of the manga, because it will be epic. about the pacing of season 3 it was following the manga.
The first episode already covers 5 chapters lol Unless they plan to finish in another 45 minute special or two episodes, they will most definitely add either a) Filler or b) adapt the light novels and special mangas.
@Kokushibo08_45 I've seen the episode mate. It covers 128, 129, 130, 131 and covers some of the hashira training from further chapters ahead. So more like 4 and a half
I just hope it ends where they get sent into the infinity castle. Seeing all the queues in the opening (the hashira fighting something we don’t know maybe muzan? and Tanjiro facing Muzan at the end of the op. I don’t see why they wouldn’t)
From what I heard, for season 4, the anime is including content that was not in the manga, but from other official sources. And also, the infinity castle arc will be broken down into 3 movies.
I'm hoping for bonus Anime original content, just like Episode 1 of Mugen Train. We already seen small bits in the first episode, I hope to see a lot more in the next season otherwise it will be way too short, and I highly doubt they will add any Infinite Castle arc. If they want to add some action they could always add some former hashira vs former upper moons flashback just as an example. Plenty they could do, but I honestly have no idea what they have planned for next season. At the very least, Episode 1 was a great start. Also we have waited over a year for this next "short" season that has little action. I find it hard to believe they spent all the time working on season 4. Either 1) They added a lot more content to season 4. 2) They just made us wait longer for this season, got a head start on infinite castle so the wait between after this season and next can be a tiny bit shorter (Infinite castle is very big and action packed, so likely years to make).
so people say that "oh they will be 6 sesons bc infinity castel and sunrise countdown"they will 5 bc s5 will be like s1 it have 6 arcs in one season so season 5 will have 2 arcs in one season
i was talking with my friend about this exact thing that people are gonne shit on this arc bcs its not gonne be dramatic with any upperdemons but we want all of you to know that before judging one arc maybe perhaps think about what will happen in the infinity arc their is muzan kokoshibu doma akaza bowa woman and spoiler allert zinetsu's former training buddy these are all the villians needed to be fought there will be many sacrifices and just thinking about it makes me shiver so maybe reflect on this hashira arc is a undertone and chill moment for what is adventually going to come that is the most dramatic intense and heartwrenching ending arc so before saying hashira arc is gonne be dissepointing maybe think a bit harder about why its not gonne go all out its an arc where they need to train themselves for the battles yet to come bcs right at this moment they are heavely underpowered
I don't mind having a season with less action since the next two arcs are very action heavy and a bit sad. This arc is the calm before the storm like in jjk first half of season 2 and the ember island players in ATLA. I think we should expand on giyu and himagima backstory. Since the leaks we do see are action heavy I think we should people working on it time to breathe.
Heh time to breathe. But yes I do agree with you. I think people have come to expect demon slayer to be action action action based in the last 3 seasons because yeah there’s been a lot more in terms of action than exposition up until now. So for anime watchers, the expectations are high and season 4 will probably not live up to that. I’m fine with a slower season tho
It will also be on streaming services. Most likely crunchyroll and Netflix. It’s a little confusing. I’ll have a video clarifying things about the next season coming out within the next day or so.
@@jrlombardi5251 no... im talking about how they released the movie that was already in theaters months ago, and they made it seem like it would be a brand new episode. u totally missed the point of my comment lol
I think they could probably do 6 episodes, the first episode is anime exclusive content, and they could probably do a bit of a deeper depth into all of the Hashira’s training sessions.
As with some parts of Attack on Titan, I think even a weaker segment of the comics can be adapted into something better under the right studio. Its not a guarantee, but we will see.
Personally I hope the final season is 18 episodes instead of two movies: 6 episodes focused on the infinity castle arc, 8 episodes focused on sunrise countdown, and dare I say it, FOUR episodes focused on the timeskip. seeing the characters interact with each other after such a long time would be great (spoilers below) and by characters I mean reincarnations but you get what I mean, it would be nice to see these characters living in a demonless world for more than 12 seconds.
Just 6 episodes for the inf castle arc is crazy, they need like at least 12 episodes for that, 6 episodes for sunrise countdown, and ONE episode for the timeskip (and thats being generous)
well, in season 2 nobody had the demon slayer mark (forgot what its called) until the very end when tanjiro unlocked it, so like, yeah. Gyuutaro and Daki are gonna seem much stronger than the season 3 antagonists, because the protagonist were weaker.
i watched the movie which is only the first episode they show season 3 for almost the entire movie then the hashira just plan to do the hashira training
Mugen train arc had a huge impact on viewers cause of Rengoku's death. I mean that's where the story started to pickup right? But I don't think it'll be the same case with this season
Bro is literally asking for filler 😢 Season 3 had wayyy more action and the storytelling was lackluster because both sides are struggling/deciding what to do. Then a plot twist at the end with a solution. For one side. & even though we didn't have a huge overarching plot, the battles were important to prove the worth if tanjiro & Co. The hashiras and so on, now I have read demonslayer and the reason I think these seasons are so short is because the ending is so intense the animation and voice acting will be so intense it cannot be anything but the story. So you can try clickbait but this is a crazy story. Can't wait for the reincarnations 😂❤
Season 3 wasn't welcomed very well by some ppl mostly because they're the people who only expect the battle scenes. They could be children or some people who aren't educated that well so they got bored following the lore and always comparing the newest battle scenes to another season or even another anime. But for most fans, Seasons 1-3 are great, so we only got great expectations. Ufotable Studio also seems dedicated so much to this series. So, there's nothing to worry about. In Season 2, we weren't truly attached to Kyojuro, but Tanjiro's respect toward him still carries the atmosphere. So, if they're running out of materials, they can use this season to introduce the supporting characters more deeply and avoid making the same mistake.
No, Season 3's writing was much better. But that's just it, it's more focused on writing, good story telling and whatnot, and is less "raw" and "cool" and stuff, so most hardcore anime fans don't care. The general audience loved the season though. Also, no, Gyokko is much stronger than Gyutaro and Hantengu is much stronger than Gyokko.
I actually really enjoy the back stories and writing so I thought they were actually pretty nice but on action season three was lacking I can definitely agree
If they add filler in the sense of fleshing out the lore even more and giving us a better taste of their backstories and even the upper ranks, I think it could be a nice build up before the shitstorm that will be season 5
My guess is that we will get 6 episodes from the HTT, 1-2 light novels made into OVA's, and a movie announcement with it releasing by the end of 2024 with it being probably 2 parts. Im an anime only watcher but from what I've heard, I don't think this season requires high budget animation so they can put the budget into the movies.
@@wongdiggidy6542 2 part movie. I've heard of the trilogy movie leak but unless they plan to release the movies yearly I think it would take way too long. Just a guess but I'm thinking first movie in late 2024, second movie 2025, and back to seasonal episodes for the final arc in 2026.
That kinda reminds me of how attack on titan did the final season actually. The last two “special episodes” were basically movie length episodes released at different times
The fact that they really made this into a season really shows how profit driven these companies are. Because they think you like their product they try to sell you anything and most people just eat it up. Same when you idiots buy a new iPhone every 6 months 😂😂😂
Spoiler warning: Even though I don't read the manga, I heard Muzan assigns a few demons as upper moon. Having a Hashira/Upper Moon training arc. That way we don't get distracted by the intense fighting coming in next season. That's my thought.
I mean if season 4 has 5 episodes fans will be disappointed because they waited 1 year for just 5 episodes. Also most fans watch demon slayer because of the action and since this arc has none it is safe to assure not a lot of people will like this arc
i think that they could do a maybe 7 episode season or half a season kind of like how they did with the mugen train arc then (SPOILERS) they could end it off with them being teleported into the infinity castle setting up season 5 or season 4 part 2... yet again thats just my theory
I swear to god if ufotable rakes the safe route and leaves us after we get the akaza fight, im done. Id rather have this be an aot type thing with the final season part 1 and 2 type stuff
I dont really care I want a cliff hanger and there is a movie because a cliff hanger means another season and they could stretch out the fights so it will have more than 9 episodes
movie for the hashira arc is a terrible idea. there is no action nor antagonist for the arc, what are people going to go to the movies for? to watch a slice of life movie with nothing substantial happening? I would have just made a very short 4 episode season and then immediately announced the next season as a double cour season that would start 3-4 months after. granted they would have needed to take a lot more time to do something like that. either way, by the looks of it it seems that the hashira training arc is going to be around 7-8 episodes, so there will probably be quite a bit of fillers.
Fr i's literally just a filler arc why tf did they make it a movie. It also has like 0 hype since they finished it BEFORE 2024 and are only releasing it online 4 months after lmao
They could show a smaller filler arc where we have 2 other Hashira's in the focus. I would love Obanai and Sanemi. Maybe they can go on a mission and face one of the upper moons and go out with a no result. It could expand on the upper moon's backstory and also make Obanai and Sanemi into more likeable characters. For example, at first I hated Tengen, but I loved him later in the Entertainment District arc. Maybe" Soft spoiler from here: Maybe they could show the replacement for upper moon 5 since we haven't seen that one in the manga as far as I know, unlike replacement 6 and 4. That could make for an interesting arc with a win for our hashira's and maybe even portray the upper moon 5 a bit more threatening
Oooh I’m a big fan of the spoiler part of your comment. I agree with all your points. Enough that I’ve already made another video to talk about it. Finishing the editing but should be out in the next day or two!
They should had put training arc on adult swim as special to save themselves the trouble because it was just unnecessary. I hope they pick back up on action in season 4 because season 3 was overrated
I think maybe they made the fight against Upper 6 so intense was because they wanted to show us what it's like to fight an upper moon and win. Idk that's just my theory
