I agree, the Chapter 5 map doesn't feel like Fortnite. I think it's too "normal". Every poi feels the same aesthetically except for the mansion and the tiger place. It's pretty boring. Heck even Peter was just slapped onto a random poi.
I think it's pretty diverse, definetley better than chapter 4 it's just those pueblo type places that dont look like fortnite, i see what you mean though
In comparison to previous seasons, the problems in this season aren't as bad thankfully. Especially since Epic have been communicating and listening to community more as of recent. ^^ Good video btw, short but sweet. Gets to the point.
Not really. Traditional time travel wise, they did get deleted but the Big Bang could only have happened because of those chapters. The journey to get there still happened.

The storyline makes sense because chapter 2 never happened. Chapter 5 is chapter 2 since fn OG was chapter 1. That means the society and the underground are the exact same thing as ghost and shadow, and Montague is this realities version of midas. The big bang event wasnt a replica of the ch1 end event, it WAS the ch1 end event, which brought us into this chapter. This chapter is just what chapter 2 could have been.
it feels so horrendous and i can’t even pinpoint why. ranked feels atrocious. i either die instantly from god knows where or i waste 20 mins of my life exploring an empty map just to get sniped at random in end game, overall feels boring and bad
I have a problem with the train. it's a massive focus of the map but has mediocre loot and nothing interesting on it. it could've been like the orient express or something.
A lot of people would hate me for this speculation, but do you see the vision Epic was going for? The army green grass and whitish gray snow, the trains, the Russian/Eastern europe style buildings, the more realistic landscape, the pueblo-like houses, I’m starting to think that they’re starting to imitate Warzone and PUBG’s maps, which kinda loses the whole essence of Fortnite being a unique battle royale game. I’ve played those two games so I really quickly noticed the similarities, heck even the map shape is similar. Tho I love the new Unreal Engine, but you can really kinda see what the new switch-around Epic is trying to go for in terms of the game appearance for BR.
Something that has been bugging me not just from this season but actually since chapter 2 (I think) is that Fortnite is losing their more cartoonish art style that the first chapter had and it's becoming more realistic. You can see that with the new movement in chapter 5 the animations look good but not in the way Fortnite is or supposed to be. Also the realistic environment of the map looks really bland and doesn't make the new locations memorable.

Only people complaining about movement are cracked pc boxfight tryhards who need to crouchspam and waddle back and forth like their edits are effected by how fast you can tap wasd. On controller it feels better cause you can control how much you push 20% 50% 100% and it feels alive. Weapons are similar to ch2s2 with bosses and mythics. So is the map. It is 10x better than og and only complaint is the cliffs and train is meh. Story could use a reason to go back into the loop. Oh no itll destroy reality is kinda getting old. How about we cant leave or we will die and here we have to get collective elims for a new weapon or something
Obviously, there is some exaggeration and bias in my statement above. Think why you don't like the movement? Is it too slow or because your wasd aren't able to go slow until you need to go faster and your input output is just used to 100% Try controller and feel how alive it is now. My fav presets can walk while holding an apple or pistol and not trot like a lil horsey. He doesn't look like someone put lego in his shoe and he actually crouch walks like a person and not a machine programmed half a decade ago.
