If only we didn’t consider bamboo invasive; Rather consider it an incredibly regenerative renewable resource that we can use every day in construction and heating
@@zaarkhananal7165 ב''ה, fair to say in USA it's both; beautiful and renewable material for a lot of uses but can be as devastating as kudzu if not monitored. Following some cultivation efforts in Florida, as is an international ecological free-for-all now anyway.
Very good job, In North East India they use bamboo curtain and plaited bamboo from split bamboo sheens that can be used for the walls. Almost 30% of material can be saved. Moreover so many pins and bolts usage can also be minimized. The lower deck looks over re-inforced. The spacing can be increased leading to lesser material usage.
i love the location of the house where it sit on top of the hill.... and love the beauty of the bamboo finishing. I have a concern about the durability of the bamboo as to how long can it last and the house would be freaking cold as the floor and wall are not windproof.... can imagine the coldness during the nights and winter...
Usually the places these homes are built in are tropical locations and you want airflow because it doesn’t get cold. My great aunt lived in one for 60 years and only needed minimal maintenance and repairs due to termites. They are very durable homes if maintained.
OK, so this is my second attempt to see the finished product over a second channel here. Can anybody tell me where I can see the original video for this, from the guy actually, building this thing, and where I can see the finished product, if it is indeed, finished? This utterly, cute Chinese, guy is a genius when it comes to working with bamboo and this place he is building looks absolutely, fascinating. I so, so, hope he does videos when he begins his interior as well, if he has not done so yet. I'm really and truly fascinated by this project and would love to see the completed project somewhere, if anybody can help me. Thank you. Much Love and Warmest Wishes from Canada. Be Well and Safe. Out. 🙂🖐🏼
Well planned & skilled workers. Wherever possible, they could have used bamboo nails instead of Metal. The floor & cladding using bamboo reaper is fantastic.
In terms of non-toxic treatments to prevent insect, fungal and climatic damage, bamboo culms can be immersed in salt water, air dried and treated with a borax/borin solution. I have no idea about the exact process but I know that if done right, bamboo can last for 20 years at least. I'm not so sure about non-toxic coatings. I think you can use ones used for timber but a lot of those emit very strong smells and chemicals that are often toxic and/or environmentally unfriendly!
Doesn't this need treatment before using. If so how did you treat it. Does this giant Bamboo last long? I would like to know as I wanted to build my on but very much worried of the insect damage
Very well done!!!! Love 💘 the Bamboo House but would've loved to see what it looked like finished. That's the only thing wrong with these videos they never show what they look like when their done with furnishings in the house's. Would so luv to see them when their living in them!!!!Please!!!!! But great job one an all!! They have a beautiful frair for design an putting those desighs in these houses. Just beautiful work an ideas an colors in the houses an gardens. From Deep In The South !!!! Best Wishes !!!! ALABAMA GIRL!!!!!
These bamboos seem to be 4-6 inches in diameter. A few questions come to mind. Will a grouping of smaller diameter bamboos offer greater column strength to these larger diameter bamboos ? What is the spacing permitted between columns to have the bamboo beams ? It also seems like a single storey structure works best where you can use additional bamboo support for the floor area. Any hollow building material is always a big plus.
It looks to me like they are counting on the flex to dissipate energy but everything seems oversized and they even show using cable and turn buckles to pretension the structure.
Where is part 2 is not finish yet? From start to finish ? Where is the furnitures ?? I like it but it’s sad didn’t see finish the bamboos house 🏠 like the view too
Highly skilled, the houses are very beautiful, but you destroy the entire bamboo forest to make just one house for you to live in. Damaging the environment
