That whole "grab an apple, put it in the other hand, and then throw it behind you" thing from that 9 year old kid was amazing, I lowkey understand the sidestroke more now...goes to show you not to underestimate where you can learn things from.
No video on youtube will fully explain what is going to happen when you join. Just get on the bus to basic training and do what they tell you. It's nothing to stress about. It will be the best decision you ever make as long as you choose to make the most of it.
@@pvtsturgill911 How “bad” is your arm tat that you couldn’t even join the Marine Corps? I have a 5 inch on my right arm and it was no issue, especially with the changed policy that allows full sleeves now
@Justin GFM it's past the my wrist about 1.5inches on to my hand.. they didn't even measure it or seem to care. I decided to go with army they actually measured it and I still had to get a waiver. I'm now waiting on to go back to meps to pick my job
Loved basic. Went from barely 1 meal a day working 2 jobs to 3 meals, clean clothes, a warm pit to sleep in, daily PT and getting paid for it? Truly grateful for the opportunity.
1:20 I live in central New Jersey and have two years at a car dealership making above minimum wage with 10 hours overtime. I cannot afford to eat and I can barely make rent. I will be joining the military not necessarily because I want to, because it’s the easiest way out of all of my problems.
0:26 Best day of the week was the day after Sliders because we had a Cook that made a great Cheeseburger Soup for lunch. That would stick to your ribs all afternoon.
I graduate college next year with a bachelor's in management. I hate my retail job in management and want something bigger for myself. I cannot imagine working there for the next 10 to 20 years. I think I would rather die across the world somewhere. Really thinking about either the Navy or Air Force.
everytime i here these stories it always sounds like "I had to struggle because of america's lack of structure and planning for its citizenry just to bust my ass to try and get in the door to defend it" there's so much potential that almost seems flattened by america's paradoxical culture.
This is the first time I have heard of any Americans who recognized Toyota Corona. Growing up in a developing country in East Asia, Toyota Corona and Carina both were still produced and made until the late 90's. Now they replaced by Tyota Allion & Premio
Frontline workers are customer service Very True. Gaslight Guest ran away from home at the age of 16. Doing Stupid and playing victim later in Life as an Excuse for Stupid. "All your Excuses are Lies!!" -Jocko Willink.
Imagine an 18 year old kid going to Corpsman School for 11 weeks and becoming responsible for a LOT? I read its now 14 weeks...incredible whst they are allowed to do with very little training. Must grow up fast. That guy sounds like a character
@@taylorlibby7642 Much appreciated, lol. As a sailor it's a common joke, even though the risks are very real. My uncle broke his back, both figuratively and literally, doing SAR.
@@Will_Smith_Slapping_Xi_Jinping Yeah, you know how it is. Any good-natured joke from a service member to a service member is acceptable. Give your uncle a Semper Paratus from me. ; )
My decison is between Navy and Air Force just gotta decide what jobs are potentially there for me first. My advice is asking your recruiter what potential jobs are there for you for each branch. Then making the decision based off that
Derrick Van Orden you said on Fox that Kevin McCarthy will be the next Speaker... In your opinion, can we as Conservative Republicans count on him to back us up and help change the direction the D's are taking us? I think we know.... prove me wrong!
