​@pigletti Doesn't look mixed the to me. The colour is far too yellow, if it is alloyed it still couldn't be less than 22ct. A lot of countries have pure gold jewellery for the prestige or as gifts or even wedding tradition. Soft as heck but you've gotta admit, that rich yellow is sexy as fuck.

Other than that, gold and silver in jewellery goes up in price because of the branding in 99,9999% of the cases because those who buy it know for a fact that they can resell it at a high number/value. Melting the gold again means you put effort and money into it, hence it loses its innate value when it was first turned in a gold bar.

@@Harry-q2q6y Thats not true at all. Maybe in Western countries because its dangerous but in Asia "China, Korea, Taiwan" its extremely common for people to wear 24k on a daily basis. In fact when I went shopping for gold in Taiwan, the jewelry shop owners basically laughed in my face when I said i was looking for 18k. They said men in Taiwan only wear 24k. So they didnt even have any 18 or 14k pieces in their shop for men.

You're absolutely right. Pure cold is way too easy to bend and break. It is the most valuable but least durable for jewelry purposes. 14K is more of less the sweet spot for what you want your gold jewelry in. 10K is the cheapest gold out there because it has the least % of pure gold in it BUT it is the strongest gold out there for making jewelry with. 14K is still very strong but has higher pure gold % making it more expensive than 10K 18K is your more luxurious gold that is used in higher end (Rolex / AP) watch bands and wedding bands. 22K is 91% pure gold and also used in making high end watches bit it is very easy to scratch and bend so it's more used as Dials/ Faces/ Crowns/ Indices/ Bezels, Cases, (other small luxury watch parts) 24K is more asset collection than anything, as it is pure gold.
