I am disgusted with myself for having bought down products without questioning first what their provenance obviously is when perfectly adequate substitute products exist. Our acts as consumers should always be mindful of the repercussions to other beings on the whole planet.
Down is down, not feathers magically changed to down. You either buy down filling, feather filling or combo of both! If you paid for down filling take it back if it is feather filled, you've been ripped off.
