Agree! They filmed B and J in Spokane Wa and I lived one street over from the street/neighbohood where they filmed the Julianne Moore apartment scenes. Got to hang out on the set since the kraft services was right in front of my apartment house (cute neighborhood with craftsman houses) from where they were filming. It was so fun, got to see Johnny and Aidan walking around my street!

according to google, a mile is 5,280 feet. multiply this by 500 and you have 2,640,000 feet. however, this is said twice, ''a thousand miles''. so you have to multiply THAT by two, arriving at the final destination of 5,280,000 feet. Wikipedia science says the average human walks at a pace of 3 feet per second. if you divide your final, 5280000, by 3, you get 1,760,000 seconds. that is only 29,333 minutes, 488 hours, or 20 straight solid days of walking. I would say he made it awhile ago given he didnt rest much....

I was 7 years old, and my brother was 14 when he passed from epilepsy. But everytime I hear this song, it brings me back to one of my happy times with him just singing, dancing, and being goofy to this song. It's been 30 years since he's been gone. Just a weird thing when your memory can picture something so clearly as soon as you hear a song, like it was yesterday. I'll love this song forever. ❤

I'm 66 and a farmer in Nebraska. It's incredible the widespread and enduring appeal of this song. Even out here where I live. You can hear farmers playing it out of their tractor cabs, and coming out of pickup windows. Here in the friggin' Midwest, of all places! And it's popular among all age groups and backgrounds. Even my 80 year old uncle loves it! Very, VERY few popular songs have ever managed to do that. It attests to the talent of these guys. You just can't listen to this song without tapping your feet and wanting to sing along with it.
