You have been in our hearts since childhood. The current difficult times will pass and we will meet again! We love you, we are waiting!
An ocean apart, and yet almost exactly the same for me in the US!! I was 13 in 2000 when got my first Prodigy album, "The Fat of the Land." It had a "Parental Advisory" sticker on it thanks to new censorship laws on anything deemed to have "mature content," including _any_ profanity, implied substance use, and after George W. stole the 2000 election... and 9/11, almost _any_ criticism of the government/war. I had to bring my Dad to buy the CD - because anyone under 18 was barred from buying an album with this advisory, unless they had someone over 18 (with photo ID) at checkout. I lost my Dad in 2022, my everything, but it still makes me smile now remembering him at the store reading the tracks on the back of the CD in shock, saying, "Smack my b#&$ up?! I don't think so! Is this what you're listening to?!" I laughed and explained what I thought the title meant at the time, as ironic; a provocation - it'd take me well into adulthood to understand the slang was about using H & had nothing to do with smacking a person. It took Prodigy a bit longer to chart in the US, but when they did it was explosive. "Firestarter" was their biggest US hit, giving us the impression they were punk. The singles without Keith's vocals never became mainstream over here, so it was kinda "underground" to play Prodigy. I went thru a period where I played Prodigy non-stop in the car, and everyone liked it & asked who it was - they'd always be stunned it was Prodigy. They really resonated with us metalheads out here.
Still can’t believe he’s gone. Someone who made me not feel like the freak that the parents, bosses and ‘respectable’ working drones said I was. Just because I loved jumping around fields in East Anglia at 1am, in the early ‘90s. Off my face 😂. Now I am a working man, of course, with responsibilities, but never a drone. Maybe an Ant 👍🏻🫡🇬🇧🏴👊🏻
@@mucy2807 Yeah, I know, right? It’s hard to believe he’s dead. I know Liam is the brains and the talent, but Keith was the performance - if that makes sense. Like you, gone are the days when I was moshing, head-banging or anything else, lolz! I’m a respectable old woman now … ISH!!!
@OzzieOzzieOzzieOyOyOy I've never seen them before until this night but people who had were blown away by their stage presence, ot felt like they had something to prove. The energy was unbelievable, the ground was moving beneath your feet before they even come out and when they did and Breathe dropped, it's giving me goose bumps writing this... It was the best night of my life, 4 Gary's helped too 😂
Los fans necesitamos más discos de the prodigy.se que ahora no es rentable sacar nuevos discos pero es algo que los que amamos a the Prodigy lo necesitamos.
Was in front of the show last night at Beauregard Festival. Best show of my life. The energy was absolutely thrilling to witness. Shared a smile with Maxim during a short break at the front. Thank you, I already saw you multiple times, but it's always better the next time around. I can't get enough of it. The Prodigy forever.
I once bought an audio cassette back in 1996, in the city of Murmansk :) although the whole world heard you even earlier, real boys, a real boom of the 90s and a classic of the present) Greetings from Russia )
@themottnibbler4662 I have seen both these bands, and they were both high energy/amazing although I must say Rage were better live than the Prodigy. They should do a co headlining show, now that would be awesome!
@themottnibbler4662 Rage are outstanding live. As are the Prodigy. I'm a metalhead but I will include the Prodigy in my top 10 live bands. They are the only electronic music act that metal fans accept. They're 100 percent original which commands respect!
Looking at Maxim and realising that dude is 57 now is INSANE. He just decided to not age anymore and it works out. Kudos. Been listening to The Prodigy now for over 30 years and they're just in a league of their own. Keith, we f'ing miss you.
One of my favourite songs! This popped out just after I was listening to Climbatize ❤which power I use to think deeper about my second novel Remain Sane (waiting for The goddess from Hell to be released ot the Amazon kdp).Climbatize has an amazing effect on my brain and yes....The Prodigy deserve to be the ones my book will be dedicated to.❤The minndfields the band leads me in can't be compared to anything else I have experienced in life!❤What a wonderful choice to begin the day...Climbatize ❤
Love You guys! Let's keep this fire burnin together 4ever!!! I hope to hear something new 🙌 every f***in single note is a gift for me! Take my brain to another dimension! ❤
Когда автор пишет музыку возникают разные эмоции, чувства. От эйфории, грусти и т. д. Когда под написанную тобою музыку угараю фэны. Это вообще космос и полный отрыв! 😁
