I once won a dancing competition to this song in 98 or so. Everyone picked standard pop songs and had standard dance moves. I picked this and went bat shit crazy doing backflips and what not. Hyped by the crowd it was easy and I did not even notice my exhaustion until I stopped. Never in my life did I drink so much water in such a short time. Breakdance was not a thing back then so it was something completely random to everyone yet it fit the tune. The house went crazy and 1st place was mine :D Up to this day I have no idea how I did most of the stuff I did or where the energy came from.
Got this CD from my dad as a random gift when i was around 9 years old, shit blew my mind and opened a whole new world of music for me. Still gives me goosebumps 23 years later.
A composition that fills every cell of the body with animal energy regardless of gender, age and religion. It's like a real rough drug injected into a vein. It's an instant high. At the first sounds the whole body is covered with goosebumps of anticipation, in the middle it's the high itself, and at the moment of the girl's vocal it's euphoria. It's one of the greatest creations of mankind.
Fat of the land is and will always be one of the best albums. You made us all proud to have British artists as talented as you guys…. RIP Keith the ledge
Prodigy Timeless and forever intime! I am a metalhead and I like Punk too but I have a special place just for Prodigy. I loved their music from the first time I listened to it. I was listening to them at highschooll, I am 40 and I am still getting crazy with them. The music of the '90s was unique. So many amazing bands were formed back then which rocked the world and they still do! RIP Keith
My dad is 65 and this is 1 of only 3 albums he plays in his car, and when ever he gets the chance to bang this album out, you can guarantee that it's blasting and my mam ain't far behind turning it down 🤣🤣🤣🤣 so glad to be around for this
You are lucky man you got dad like that! My one would tell me to turn off this piece of loud crap :D as much i have tried to show him electronic music, only few of them he liked was mostly trance style due to symphonic melodies lol :D
@@Mr.Cerera69 he loves his Prodigy all albums and faithless with abit of the old chemical brothers thrown in, deep down its pink Floyd and led zep haha
Take good care of your Dad ! He is amazing ! It reminds me of my uncle who teach me evrything about music ,culture and freedom as we didnt have access to these kind of things beeing under comunism for all our life ..He took me in 1996 when i was 19 years old to Prodigy live in Bucharest and changed my whole life ! May all the best wishes be upon you and your great Dad !
saw Prodigy at the Coogee Bay Hotel in Sydney in 1997, I literally got off a flight from Canada and went straight to see them, I could feel the sweat off Keith right up the front, danced the entire set, and left on a high ever since, what a hot band....RIP Keith, you may be gone but your beats live on...😍🥰
I was at that gig. I'm from Sydney. Probably walked past you and it was me walking past someone or vice versa. And now we're doing the same thing in comments.
Awwww this is tha embodiment of my childhood... long live tha 90s and all tha precious thangs it created and or produced out of that Era in time.. it really is priceless!!!
Was introduced to The prodigy in 96 from my brother. Was only 5 years old but instantly fell in love! Still bang this song till today. Real electronica will never die!!!!
I'll never forget when I got this album. The only tracks I had heard yet were firestarter and breathe. The first time I put this cd in and hit that play button, my eyes and ears were totally open for the first time (regarding electronica). My mind was officially blown. I knew I would never be able to get this beat outta my head. Thank God.
I am 44 years old and when this came out back in the day when I was a kid I wish it was a kid again but I'm not a kid anymore this was the fireworks of every party hang out you name it still love it still jamming this could never leave your veins not this stuff 💞
I'm 31 and this still sounds fresh. I remember my uncle having this as a single cd back in the day and I played this all day long with his cd player. :)
@@mikeymasters8459 It's not the age my friend, I'm almost 20yrs younger than you and I still listen to Prodigy instead of some modern mainstream crap. :)
@@alejandrogonzalez-cb1um Las voces femeninas fue realizada por Shahin Badar inspirada en la canción "Nana (The Dreaming)", que la canta Sheila Chandra.
That's some sort of lullaby. There's an extended version of the song with more of that lullaby, but I can't find it right now... Here you are: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-arnxOY9T_eI.html
I had the privilege of meeting Keith once backstage when my friends band supported them in 2010, a gent, a hero of mine and I miss him. I also on a separate occasion met Shaheen Badar, who sings in this. Amazing person. All in all, an amazing collaboration. And I am very grateful. Music heals souls.
@@susanpage3241 You're welcome, looks nice, especially with the big block! I love me some Olds. I owned a 69 442 about twenty years ago and 4 others, a 70 CS, 2x 72 S, and a 72 CS. Living in California, life and expenses take over but I'd love to get a 70 again one day...dream would be a 442 but would take an SX too. Take care of her and good luck getting that 69 one day!
Nostalgia for me. Will always associate this song with my dad... Anytime we went out in the car, we'd more or less have prodigy on, blarring! And this one in particular had us both going 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Remember watching back on MTV UK in 1998... what a time it was to be in your early 20's - Brilliant song, brilliant video, brilliant twist at the end... and Teresa May (the model not the politician) stripping in the vid
seen the video on MTV years a go and bought the album .been a fan of these guys for a long time awsome never gets old .i am 51 and still listen to prodigy fukin great
I was just a toddler when this music came out, but my brother had thair album on cassette and played it a lot. So till this day i still enjoy listening to prodigy' music.
Remember seeing Prodigy in Newcastle not long after the album with this on was released. They got the crowd wound up big time. I swear young guys leaving were ready to explode. Maxim came out on his own at the end and shouted, ' its all bollox'.
This was my parents wedding video song, was very fitting for there marriage but sometimes like to come back to listen to it to remember when they were happy together and helps me heal from past trauma as the prodigy was a brilliant and fun part of my up bringing. Know one probably cares but it's helped me to type it out. Hope your doing ok what ever situation your in at the moment and remember to take time for you sometimes as hard as it is it helps to sit in silence with your thoughts to process and heal from some things. Don't take life to seriously and remember to have fun and embrace your wild side like Keith❤️🙏🔥🤟
Much Love from Bedstuy Bklyn .my father was talking shit to me on my Birthday .being critical and in my mind I was thinking how he's such a hypocrite.when he did massive f up stuff when I was younger. This song brings me peace for some reason .prodigy till kingdom come
Aaaah, the music used in my old and really demanding taekwondo trainings! Remember being 12 and able to run while carrying a 200 kg man on my back, and also doing a crouch and getting up again without using hands. My leg power was soooo insane then.
effing awesome track.. first found them on my way to Brighon in my brothers car with a bass tibe in the back... phenomenal ... seeing them on monday rip mr Flint... will miss you xx
