Not sure what happens in the manga exactly but in the anime he meets Emma in a demon village and that’s where season 2 takes a nose dive into a pile of shit

The kids thank them and they see hurt chris (chris got kicked and punched earlier by andrew) the 2 kids say they should steal from a mass production farm. (They suceeded) then the kids take them to their Base. The base is inside a huge tree and is very luxurious with like 200 kids in it which "The Boss" saved. (The Boss is William Minerva) the Kids say Emma should meet the boss in his room, Emma and Ray open the door and... BOOM It's Norman, he called Himself William Minerva as his Secret name. Emma and Norman hug eachother while Ray chills on the Couch, They Talk about stuff. Then Emma n Ray leaves. Turns out Norman wants to eradicate the Demons and plays the Main Antagonist (Bad Guy) for a while but he switches back to good later. But yeah that's how They met Norman in the Manga
