Here’s my cover of “Isabella’s Lullaby” from the spectacular anime The Promised Neverland. The Promised Neverland might be my favourite series yet, not only for its creative and captivating plot but also its stunning OST. Something I learned from covering this piece is the importance of creating something that you connect with. There have been many times where I’ve covered a song that I didn’t really like that much - didn’t really connect with - and the result is mediocre. I’ve learned that my best creations are when I truly am fully immersed in the music, and I think this is one of those cases. Since watching and really enjoying The Promised Neverland, “Isabella’s Lullaby” hits an emotional spot for me; as I play, I am reminded of the scenes from the show where this song was played. I’m not really sure how to describe it, but this extra level of connection, I’ve found, really elevates my playing. Also, it helps that this song is such a beautiful creation on its own. Anyways, I hope you enjoy my violin cover of “Isabella’s Lullaby” from The Promised Neverland. (P.S. Everyone should watch it)
