The Sompo Museum of Art will set up a donation box to conduct a fund raising-activity for the people of Ukraine during the “Henri Le Shidaner - Henri Martin” exhibition, which will be held from 3/26/2022. Also, the museum will donate a part of its revenue from the sales of its “Sunflowers” postcards during the exhibition. All donations will go to the international humanitarian organizations, such as UNHCR, UNICEF, Japanese Red Cross Society and others.
The Sompo Museum of Art houses Vincent van Gogh’s Sunflowers in its collection, and because the sunflower has been regarded globally as a symbol of peace, the museum has decided to make these contributions to support the people of Ukraine.
Sompo Holdings, Inc., which is a holding company of the Sompo Group, will make donations up to a maximum JPY100 million, subject to the number of spectators of the “Henri Le Shidaner - Henri Martin” exhibition and the number of views of the exhibition’s promotion movie published on the internet. Also, “Sompo Chikyu-club”, which is a volunteer origination of the employees of the Sompo Group, will donate from its “Chikyu-club contribution fund”, which consists of donations from the monthly salary of each employee in the Sompo Group.
