Nearly 50 years ago my favourite book was the story of Dominic Savio and I took his name as my confirmation name. My eyes use to well up with tears every-time I read his story. A couple of those tears returned as I listened to this, and learned something new about him. Thank you.

The scene where people in England were walking in the dense fog and then Pope Pius IX carrying the torch caused the fog to disappear and once again the people could see! Well, we have a couple of days ago, been ‘graced’ by his coronation of King Charles III - a woke king, and this certainly represents dense fog. If you can prove that your Church is the true Church then prove it. Jesus founded the Catholic Church and put Peter as the first head of the Church. What did Martin Luther do? Founded his own Church and even told his dying mother that it's better die as a Catholic than a Protestant.

Im Scottish and truly feel the whole of the UK is completely lost just now and it really does hurt , not just the uk but Europe as a whole. It seems we're under attack from just about every direction, this deeply deeply saddens me. I dont understand why Europeans and descendants of Europe are being persecuted like this ? Can they not see how we have also suffered in the past. ? Or would it be so difficult to see what we have contributed to the world for centuries, millennia even. Is it denial or envy ? There's a bigger picture here , so much confusion so many lost souls government's not governing in fact adding to the mass insanity, no guidance for the younger generations, breakdown of the family and family values, no moral compass , the west must stay strong in our initial beliefs or there is no future for the children. It would seem to me Italy is the only government heading in the traditional direction.

I was at Camp Savio, too! Spent a week there in the mid-sixties with my cousins. The administrators and counselors were Salesian Brothers (I think), the Order of St. Francis deSales. Summer fun, games, and sports plus a religious retreat. The brothers were great!
@@doctorabutros The mountain spring fed the lakes. Man was the swimming lake cold in mid-June! Talent show, log mounted pillow fight, camp Olympics. Mass, confession, adoration… Oh … and the bug juice! Great place to experience as a young boy!

This young saint said to Don Bosco long before his illness: "help me to become a saint, but quickly! I think I don't have much time left".
