I love Shaykh Abdal Hakim Murad for the sake of Allah, his sermons and teachings bring me closer to my faith. Truly a gem for those in the West for the Muslim community. Thankyou cambridge centeral mosque for uploading these videos as an archive for the soul.
This sheikh is a national treasure, i have watched his lectures from 90's to this day , he is outstanding, terrific orator with amazing articulation skills He is very calm , humble and such a knowledgeable person, listening to his serene poetic rich vocabulary voice is sheer delight to me!! Thank you for teaching me and making me a better Muslim, i have learnt a lot from you May Allah bless you Maulana Abdal Hakim Murad into Jannatul Firdaus al ala ameen ya Rabbil alaamin
On the day of Arafah at my geographical location, Asr to Magrib, I was in itekaf and was going through a very tough time and was very sad. Then I open youtube to watch a Khutba and this popped up in the recommendations, it was just uploaded. I clicked it immediately and I noticed the journal Sh was carrying - and cried in joy! It was the one I gifted to him personally in 2022 when I met him at a knowledge retreat. He used it for such a beautiful Khutba, with the Prophet (pbuh)'s words written in them! It was such a gift and honor and it made my day yesterday and many days to come. JazakAllah to CMC and our beloved Shaykh Abdal Hakim Murad - May Allah preserve him and his family
I'm an Arabic speaker, and enjoyed the Khutba, and I confirm that this Khutba is of a very high Arabic standard, and requires a good knowledge and good command of the Arabic poetic gems to be able to deliver it, it's not for the faint hearted. (More interesting as it's from the Sheikh Murad, who's not a native Arabic speaker!) Most Imams need to up there levels to make the Khutba and prayers more enjoyable, as well as more profound.
Rasulullah SAW's final sermont is truly timeless.. It will always be relevant until the end of times. I burst into tears in the part where he goes "O Allah, have I conveyed the message?". Yes Ya Rasulullah, Ya Habibi, you have in the most beautiful of ways 😭

Assalamualaikkum Whenever I hear brother shaykh ‘s speech so much relieved- full of humility in his speech ; special prayer for our brothers & sisters in Palestine Ameen yarabulalameen
Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim.” Sunan Ibn Mājah 224 Grade: Sahih (authentic) *[**51:55**] And remind for verily, the reminding profits the believers* وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ تَنفَعُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ[٥١:٥٥]
Since you write your comment in english, would you be kind enough to use the english word for ''bayan'' for those here who are not arabic-speaking and do their best to learn about Islam? It's very frustrating to hear so many arabic words and sentences intertwined with english (or the language used in a yt channel), like in all Sheikh Murad's speeches (and I'm not talking about reverence phrases in arabic or the words/sentences that he translates immediately after). Thank you
I feel sorry that Sheikh Murad uses so many words in arabic (apart from the reverence phrases which I understand must be in arabic) without translation in english for those who are not arabophones. As a new Muslima, I often have to quit watching his very interesting speeches because of too many arabic words and sentences that make me loose track of what he is willing to convey.
Salam sister, I am Arabophone and I can confirm that the Cheikh is first quoting the authentic Saying of the Prophet Mohammad Peace Be Upon Him as said in Arabic then he translates the very part in English. May Allah make your path in Islam easy 🤲
Brother, sorry to know that you are finding it difficult to follow some of Sheikh’s words. Inshallah, over time as your knowledge of Arabic builds up, things will be easier. May be for now you can Google the words (using English alphabets) and hopefully most of these will show with the meaning. Perhaps keeping in mind that brother Murad would have reverted, his knowledge of Arabic would also have been limited. It takes time and patience. May Allah make it easier for you and inshallah make you also a scholar of Islam in future. Aameen!
He is relaying beautiful poetic praising and glorifying Allah and showering peace and praise,if only you knew how beautiful the lingua and phonetics he is applying in his mastery of the Arabic language,a language I learned from scratch at 15 years old being a semi native speaker of English, trying learning Arabic and you will thank me for ever 🎉🎉
Sister welcome to Islam! Wish you all the best in your journey. However, you should take the time to try and learn these Arabic words and phrases as much as possible. Most Muslims are not native Arabic speakers and are in a similar situation such as yourself. The shaykh also generally translates the phrases into English straight after the Arabic.
