They showed an ULFA terrorist in Ladakh. Atleast they shud have shown in Arunachal Pradesh or Sikkim connecting with her Chinese handlers, would have made some sense! Great acting, great music, great cinematography - but sadly a poor story!

@@tauhidulislam4055 yes of course that is the worst thing, srk is a fantastic actor or i could say he had touched limits of acting in dil se but now a days, i just can't get into it what had happened to indian directors, but i have heard he is making a movie with raj kumar hirani, but yeh no one could replace mani rantam even if i am from north and the kind of acting he wanted from all actors in his movies even in bombay and roja

No, the unhappy ending is what makes the movie. You’re not supposed to see their relationship as completely positive, you see SRK being too pushy and possessive and downright creepy over her, and her being too entrenched in her violent ideology to feel any sort of genuine emotion. However in spite of that, they are able to connect a bit and that’s why the sad ending is so poignant. Two people who met their fate with each other. It is also a political statement from Mani Ratnam - SRK represents mainstream Indian culture and Manisha represents marginalized cultures (such as from the NE) who feel smothered by the mainstream. Resentment leads to violence even if you are not directly responsible, the hurt and pain lingers….

A lot of Bollywood movies romanticise rape, assault and not getting consent from the person. That's what we grew up believing. Totally agree.

Stalking and flirting are two different things. She seems to be interested in him since their first meeting but she couldn't distract herself from her mission so she rejects him everytime that too with a heavy heart. And who knows what girls hide in their hearts!!! Their lips speak one thing but their eyes show other thing. Meghna was no different.

@@shanawazpathan8351 I request you to watch the film again. There are some scenes where he pulls and holds her physically, despite the girl's refusal. If you think that is okay, I can't help you. Again, great film and good love story, but those scenes could have been avoided.

Not true love. Obsessive, immature, romantic attraction and infatuation. True love comes after you really know each other after having spent a lot of time together in each other's spaces and many situations and over a long time - research shows it takes at least 90 days to get to know someone and not long distance - and then love comes after that when you still not only like each other but love each other despite knowing all the bad things and weaknesses of the other person too. True love comes after really knowing someone and still wanting to be with them, trusting them fully because they've earned your trust, and committing to each other at the same level. Sharing the same core values, goals and things that are important to both people, valuing each other as people, valuing their company, etc. Both need to be independent in order to be Interdependent not dependent or codependent, etc. etc. Lots of things go into real, true, mature love and this movie isn't an example of any of them (except initial attraction). These two don't even know each other and are just wrapped up in the initial infatuation phase of romantic attraction. But it plays well and is entertaining in movies and songs and these two convincingly sweep us up in their crazy infatuation along with them. I always think they just need a good individual and couples therapist and need to get that bomb off her and escape to a country that won't extradite them and they might make it as a couple! 😜😂 But instead, they always blow up at the end! Oh well. 😩

I agree . But there is something known as love at first sight . N wat is dat love in wich u r not a slight obsessive deewana . If one is not , then I think it ain't true love . It may b love . But not true love . We love many opposite partners at different times but true love happens only once
