The scenes implied that they attended Marianne's wedding as a married couple. So they got married first.

Also they have known each other longer before Marianne and Brandon got in a relationship and she is the older sister.

No, it was not a double wedding. In the book, Edward and Elinor were married first. Brandon and Marianne were married later.

Bc continuity wise it doesn't make sense to have Edward propose and then show Colonel marrying Marianne... but no, they are already married when the latter have their ceremony.
