The main difference between the 7.1 is the double line of loudspeakers that, in a 'home cinema' allows to differentiate if the sound comes from above or below, (not only if the sound comes from front, back, left or right as in 5.1 ). In virtual reality, this "binaural sound" is controlled much more effectively programmatically. Surely there are loudspeakers with more clarity than those of the Live, but it will be due to the construction of their magnets, their coils or their foam, but as you have said, those of the "Vive" seems to be more appropriate.

7.1 headphones doesnt make sense at all to me. Just for marketing i guess. Although they might be good headphones

The connector on mine came off in the same fashion after the screw came loose, thankfully I was able to find all the parts again

Great job, ladies! This strap is on its way to me now, so I ordered a T6 screwdriver from Amazon, and will follow your advice to tighten the screws before using. My main concern now involves several reports that lining material is deteriorating for some users. Could you include this concern in your next video?

How is the audio quality compared to the earbuds that came inside of the original box?

Comfort, comfort and comfort, they are a joy to wear compared to the horrible uncomfortable in ear basic headphones that come with the base set, also a better, richer and bassier sound, easier to clip down over your ears when you put on the set and take off the set

Hey guys there is reports of material wearing away in the headstrap can you report anything of this ?

We haven't had this problem, but we also don't sweat a lot so ours doesn't get wet often, but as soon as we see any material wearing away, we'll definitely report it.

+Dominick Heinle The audio strap doesn't have a built-in mic. The HMD itself does though.

Old video I know but massive mistake I saw there when clicking on the strap. You are supposed to turn it at a 90 degree angle and then push down. Never ever pull or push it down like normal. That is how you can actually break the strap and lock.

it happen bcs you did it wrong when losen the old strap. twist the strap down to you hear a click then take it off.

Hey there, we did exactly that. Followed the manual + the Vive Tutorials video. It was rigid though, didn't go as smooth as some people experienced.

That thing is so sexy /drools...I just hope pre-ordering won't be a fight to be the first 10 minutes to get the first batch like the Rift and Vive launch. Wishful thinking I know haha.
