Please let me know the brand and where you got it from. I've been trying to find it. It's worth every penny coz you can re- use it over and over again.
I can get 3 bundles of human hair from the beauty supply store for around $50 (not Brazilian etc. just regular human hair). So why is human hair crochet $300?? I’ll stick to the crochet box braids!
Because if you take the human hair and bundles from the stores, some of them are not all human hair they’re blended with synthetic hair now. They don’t actually give you real pure human hair anymore.
I would never dye the entire wig. Just put in highlights. Why? Because of damage. The texture will change and not for the better. I want to do the crochet but it seems to be stressful, taking down!
Honestly your review was very insightful! I am looking at more options and crochet really allows me to get up and go with literally NO maintenance. I tend to have scalp problems and need a protective style which will also allow me to reach my scalp because the doc said I've gotta wash it medicinally twice a week. So i figured human hair crochet would be one of the only ways to reach my scalp, withstand a lot of washes, and have my hair last in the winter months. Ive done wigs too but I hate having it be glueless and needing to blend it every morning. 😵💫
I would do half bundles and the front as crochet , you can reuse the bundles and if you need to buy more crochet hair it won’t be a lot . And you can re install multiple times
You buy the hair for that amount ex: 6 pks for $700 for 20" or more and then you have to pay someone to installed it, because it's "Human" hair and you dont want to make a mistake. Your total amount would be over $900( time, installation and it's " Human" hair) You might as well get synthetic crochet or a wig that comes close to the type of curl pattern you want. I personally am "NOT" going to buy synthetic or human hair that cost either the same amount or more than my car payment and mortgage! #SAVEYOURCOINS
Good video Lia! As a synthetic wig and crochet hair wearer - can’t beat the cost. I would never add human hair crochet. How many times can you even reinstall that? The take down would cause hair loss for sure. Human hair wigs and bundles only makes sense. Not to mention - most crochet hair is used in faux locs/braids also. So it’s multi use for sure! I’ve done passion twist and turned around and crochet it down in its loose form too. Just can’t beat synthetic crochet hair. For $600 bucks - that’s a nice wig that could last a few years! I think people have a bad view of synthetic hair. I’ve had some synthetic wigs, especially Afro textures, that have lasted forever and looks even better with time! I’m a very financially savvy person. I would rather look just as nice for a lot less. Currently installing go go curl from Amazon as I watch this! ❤❤
Also - you can curl synthetic hair! Low heat. Or water boil it! Buy the color you want - no dying needed. And you can straighten and curl it. But I would only do my synthetic wigs like this. Throw the crochet hair out after the install for sure lol
I came across this because I don’t want a wig, I want my hair to breathe, I can do it crochet myself, I want a straight style, and I don’t want my hair to tangle with synthetic. So human crochet is the convenience of crochet and the quality of human hair
For this even I went with clips ins which were cute. I will use clip ins again but they last better if you take them out every night and I don’t want to do that. I currently have tape in which are ok but some fell out on their own which took my hair with it. Also I don’t feel comfortable maintaining them myself. I only few comfortable with a professional I am going try human hair crochet next with leave out. It’s easier and more breathable than a sew in or wig
I say to people just get xpression hair because its closer to hman and it can be dipped or sprayed in hot water or what I do have a leave and cream serum low setting flat iron or low to medium and looks good as and I want a roller set or flexi rod set and go to go . Good video 👍❤️
I haven't tried human hair crotchet because when I am ready to take the synthetic crochet hair out I can cut it out without feeling like I wasted money. Human hair that cost 600 bucks I know the takedown is going to be a longer process because I can't just cut it out.
I don't do it for cost effectiveness per se; I do it for lifestyle and comfort. I CANNOT do a wig... it is hot and because I work out so much it would be a stinky mess! I don't mind the synthetic and I can now do straight styles that slay honey! #GameChanger
Personally human hair crochet can be worth it depending on what you do. I like to swim, travel, exercise, do a lot of things! Depending on the situation, I don't want to have to remove my wig to do something depending on where I am. I'm planning to buy from CoilyCue and I'll update
You are correct!! You know how many times I can get my hair done and redone and redone for that amount of money 💴?? 😂😂 I will stick with my old, reliable, cheap synthetic hair. But thanks for the review 😊
I purchased from coilycue 6/21. Will let you know my take when it arrives. I install on my own because I have a side business where I teach people how to DIY hair/nails/fashion/makeup. Hopefully, it will be worth the coint cuz ole girl spent a lot 😳 ( just in case people are wondering who "ole girl" is, it's me. I am she. LOL)
@@LiaLavon arrived 7/5. It was tricky to install and tangled horribly. The 4b or 4c might have been a better option because the natural wave was poor quality and I've used fake hair since I was 16 and I am 43 now and most of the hair I deal with is human hair because I tend to have reactions with synthetic hair
I wish I could wear synthetic.. but I’m super sensitive. I also like the feel of human hair… it is hard to find some to do a crochet style with human hair.
@@LoveMoniqueMusic BECAUSE ITS EASY , AND LOOKS GREAT AS LONG AS YOU KEEP IT UP AND TAKE GOOD CARE OF IT ....TAKE IT DOWN WHEN YOUR SUPPOSED TO SO IT DOESN'T LOOK A MATTED MESS.
@@Rue100 It lasts 3 weeks, you take it down, then install it again. Human crochet you buy once and save it for the next use. It's expensive but worth it to me
Can you please do a tutorial on the freetress French curl as a hairstyle not a braid style. OAN I wish I could do human hair crochets 🧶 but you are awesome, keep us informed. Thank you
Hey Lia, I don't think human hair isn't worth the price! Have to buy the hair then have it professionally installed. I will pass. Weave or sew in, maybe. But prefer synthetic hair and summer clothes. Thanks!
I address itching or being allergic to synthetic hair in the video but if that’s the case and someone still wants to crochet then human would be the only option. I would just probably suggest a sew-in or wig though at that point since human hair crochet is so expensive.
Gurl!!!!! You can add oil to your scalp and not WORRY about your hair going flat with synthetic hair!! SYNTHETIC is the way to go for so many reasons!❤
I want you to try kinkistry they have human hair crochet but they fall prey to all the cons too 😂 hopefully they'll send you something sis because I just want the content I ain't buying it 🤣🤣🤣
I feel like there are way too many realistic looking synthetic crochet hairs out there now to justify the 💰 they’ve always asked for human hair sewn onto a weft, which has gotten MUCH worse 📈 over the years and since “bundles” became a thing Plus, with the amount of time you might wear a crochet style, it doesn’t make sense to me to spend _that_ much - your cornrows underneath are only gonna last so long without needing to be washed and redone, and most people don’t take the time to remove each crocheted in “strand” of hair such that they can be reused. Imagine paying $600+ every time you wanted to change up your style or do a refresh 😅
People its not human hair, it's horse hair sold as human hair. Human hair doesn't come out that uniform, and real human hair is way more expensive as the amounts that is talked about in this video. Human hair is being used for wigs but its never sold like those uniform hair bundels.... we are being fooled, trust me I found out. The bundels we consider as human hair comes out in over more than 100.000 bundels varied in different inches. What they do is mix the real human hair with horse hair and sell it as human hair.
@@LiaLavon it was told by a hair seller, who purchased his hair from a company that makes those bundels in China. He often used to travel to China to talk to his business partners, and they don't feel guilty at all.He said we help women feel Beautiful and we help people who lost their hair for various reasons. So its a win win situation, what I do understand. Don't get me wrong, I myself do rock my curly extensions from time to time. But i don't fool myself that its HUMAN hair. This was all said with respect🌹 im glad thise bundels excist 😊. Why do you think there are so many brands with human hair. Everytime another brand pops up.
@@kayleek4406 I think there is some truth to this, especially with the hair that claims a title, or processed such as yaki, deep curls etc. Raw hair tends to be very fine and not uniform, but I recently got a so called light yaki closure and it stinks and something is off about it. Took it down for a while as my first thought was animal.
@@realreviews4017 the weird thing is being attacked if you tell some women the hair is not human hair, isn't that crazy. So I stopped, I know better, Im done telling the truth. Believe what you wanna believe😊🤷🏽♀️🫡
Its not Horse hair its something else... but i agree what they call human hair is not human and the evidence is not in uniformity because its processed but just the shear about of whatever this is... there are not enough humans to be happening @kayleek4406
Ssome viewers may remember Pro 10 hair (Brandy was the ambassador back in the day). It came in coarse nubian and another yaki like texture. That synthetic (or that is what I beleived it to be) was so good, and the only reason I took it out (I used to do u part with relaxed leave out - until it sent me bald and had to go full wig to grow back........... a familiar story lol), was because the shortest was 14 inch and back then I preferred 10-12 inch weaves - and it clearly said on the packaging that feather cutting would not work. It said it had high keratin in it, but all I know is it looked so real and acted great when it got washed once a week that I wonder if we can't do this kind of synthetic again. I admit, the sceptic in me may now say that it was a hybrid of synthetic and human - but it was marketed as heat resistant synthetic hair with high keratin values, and as I am not a scientist I went with it. It never tangled and looked so real people I knew thought "my" hair was flourishing.
