When my family moved to Colleyville in 1967, it was a rural ranch town with only about 3,500 residents. It didn't have its own middle school or high school, so we were bussed to Grapevine to attend theirs. DFW hadn't been built yet, so Love Field was the main airport. I walked about a mile along Grapevine highway to attend Colleyville elementary school. We attended Peace Lutheran church in Hurst and shopped at the new Northeast Mall nearby. We moved from Colleyville to Pennsylvania in 1971. I don't think I'd recognize much of Colleyville now!

Northeast Mall was where we shopped as well. I don't even think it is opened anymore, and it it is there are not many shops in there:(

@@lifeindallasfortworth I used to ride my bike from Colleyville to Northeast Mall. Leonard's were there before Dillard's bought Leonard's. At the back entrance to Leonard's, as soon as you entered on the left was the Leonard's Cafeteria. Later, it became Dillard's employee breakroom. ps. My father was an electrical engineer working at Bell Helicopter in Hurst during the time we lived there.
