Rakkfar, in fact I've spent lots of times lifting weights (especially when I was competing in sports events). I do find it incredibly boring (though I don't dispute it can be an important aspect of training). I prefer a lifestyle that has physical challenges built into it (rather than driving to a gym and spending time inside moving metal objects around). I have been drinking Pine Pollen powder for 8 months now. I first heard about it while I was in China. It is only now that I can watch an English video, since RU-vid is banned in China. It is good to see an independent person telling us about the benefits of Pine Pollen, and not hearing it from the companies who are selling it. For me, it has helped my hair growth. In 2012, I had a good sized bald spot on my head. It is still a little thin, but I have a lot of hair in that spot now.

Many people have discussed the benefits of pine pollen and male hormones. I don't mention the phyto-androgens here because it is well known. What is not widely known are many of the other benefits of pine pollen, especially how it can protect us from the effects of radiation. I'm not stating that one value of pine is more important than another, it depends on your situation (e.g., health, where you live, types of stresses you experience, access to nutrient-dense food). @thecoralsea This will sound like a sarcastic response, but it is not intended to be: how is the contaminated rainwater that lands on pine trees different from the contaminated water that lands on crop fields? By this question, I am of course alluding to the fact that all our foods are contaminated, so the goal becomes to get the most nutrient-dense foods, as those provide our body with vitamins, minerals, and phytochemicals to support, defend, and detoxify our bodies from all kinds of toxins.

once you have collected the flower part how do you extract the pollen? does it open up it's self or do you need to grind them. or do you dry them and then process, etc. Thanks for the great info.
Perhaps a touch more tedious, but would it hinder the growth to just collect the pollen cones while leaving the new growth? That's the method i used last year and it wasn't too time consuming. Your thoughts?

Arthur, can you do scotch tree pine pollen? We have pine trees but I think I missed the season. I will get it for sure next year. question, if there's radiation fallout in rainwater, and it's raining down on the pine trees aren't the pine trees getting contaminated from radiation? Dont get me wrong, i love pine pollen and pine in general, i just want to be able to eat it safely is it safe to eat?

O.K. So to get access to the pine pollen, we pull the branches down. Now what do we do with it after we collect them? Is there any need to prepare them or do we just pop them into our mouths as they are?
ok,,now that the pine pollen has been collected, now what? how do we consume it? i know that somethings can be boiled down to make things with while other things are ruined if boiled down. thats why i ask the proper way of consumption
If using a wilderness survival water purification system, would it be possible to use the pieces of pine that your throwing on the ground, as a layer in the water purification system, either before or after the charcoal layer? In doing so, would this help Irradiate the water? If not, are there ways to naturally filter the radiation from water sources?
My friend I live in SF Ca. Long way away. Do you have a personal way I can pay to have this safe pine pollen shipped to me and my mom 77 my uncle we stay with 80? Also, do you have ANY suggested ways besides root vegetables and suppliments of foods we can have? Please I know this is serious, but we can't move. Do you know of any sources of melatonin? I read this is a very important substance required in our body that helps fight free radical formations. Do you know about this? I read that the chokecherry contains Melatonin. I wonder if pine has Melatonin as well? Thanks!
@Arthur Haines I know you said any species of pine can be consumed but I would like to double check if your sure the species diablo fuerte pine tree, endemic to the Peruvian Reserve Yanachaga Chemillin can also be consumed because it's name translated to english "Strong Devil" seems a little dangerous haha. I will be travelling there to eat this species of pollen, is it safe?
What about other species of trees pollen? My friend and I have been wondering about birch pollen? Cedar pollen? Is it possible that all tree pollen is edible & having health benefits? Also, is it safe to consume pinus strobus pollen while pregnant? Mille Grazie ;)

@Elizabetherb The pieces of pine could be used, but not to naturally filter radiation. Pine works to protect us against radiation through nutritional channels: (1) as an antioxidant, (2) by boosting levels of endogenous antioxidants and (3) providing minerals so that enzyme-binding sites are occupied and we don't take up radioactive particles. It won't help with water that contains radiation (to my knowledge). Clay is a natural source that binds with some radioactive elements. Best wishes.
Oh, one more thing I forgot to ask...Is White Pine the only type of pine that provides us with these benefits or are all species of pines equally beneficial?
