Yes agree it is very pricey but if you have to keep buying controllers every couple months as I do as a heavy gamer 8-10 hours a day gaming then it pays for itself quite fast. I have a Turtle beach stealth ultra which has hall effects and heavy use and it has been absolutely great with no issues for less than the Phantom one. Though the Phantom one does have the adjusters making it forever useful. Already have a pre-order on the Hall effect version so I also have a PS5 style controller now too!
The standard PS5 controller that you get with a console buy are terrible for quality. I've gone through 3 since having my PS5 under 12 months. So when you break it down it is very expensive for this controller but if it gets rid of any chance of stick drift then I think it's worth it although I would still wait for prices to drop because they will at some point, ie deals, 10% offs, black fridays or January sales. All my controllers so far have suffered stick drift.
"The case is a novelty"...then proceeds to pull out 8 stuck options and more that can easily be lost. Give me the case all day to keep stuff together lol

Yeah unfortunately all PS5 pro controllers are about that expensive. Hopefully with more & more tech like this coming out though it'll drive down the prices
It's a good point because the haptic feedback function patent is owned by Sony, so I cannot see how another company can use it without braking USA patent law.
Gulikit kk3 max = $70 USD Has all this, and Hal affect. Down side is that it’s only for pc, and Switch. But the point is, this controller is way over priced; and with a little ingenuity + adapter, I use the Gulikit on all my consoles.
Actually, Nacon has been the very 1st to actually been using hall effect sticks for ps4 and PS5. You'd be dumb not to know that or haven't heard of them. Plus, they're pro style controllers too
Assuming you have a soldering kit and are fine with the risk of bricking your controller. It sucks but most people aren't willing or capable of modifying their own hardware.
@@WallaWaller it doesnt really take a lot of soldering skill to replace the analog sticks. And there is also people that can do it for you, its a little bit more money, but if you dont want to do it yourself its a good option.
The basic edge controller comes with deadzone settings that compact stick drift like the $279 option, and it's only $200. Replacing the stick modules on the edge doesn't fix the stick drift though
No one can find the stick modules. Sony released the controller at a stupid price and then made sure the replacement sticks were not available. It's a con.
If costs about 3 dollars to replace the sticks from Aliexpress or nothing if the tracks of the pots attached to the sticks just need cleaning. You just need to know how to use a soldering iron and how to use the search function on youtube to see an example video. The cost of this thing is obscene. You could buy a bunch of controllers for the cost of this.
The dual sense edge is a more hated controller and I personally wouldn’t recommend it but is is one of few that has trigger stops and adaptive triggers the one I recommend is the vitrix pro controller bc it can connect to ps4 and ps5 plus pc
Dualsense edge still has a more permanent fix for stick drift compared to this. But the edge only has 2 paddles and doesn't have the mouse-clicks, so it's more about personal preference and what you care about. The edge is also almost $100 cheaper
@@LJGOATEDGAMER even tho they may have started first wich they didnt Hyper controller did, doesnt mean they are the best since there has been a huge issue with bad calibration on the sticks hyper did it then aim then cinh then hex
I can't believe they just thought of this. This pretty basic. It's literally how we program some components in...let's say a mini programable car. You can cheat by just recalibrate them to match the drift, it should be simple, in theory, that is.
The thing is stick drift does only happen with modern controllers somehow my almost 20 year old gamecube controller has no drift after all this time and im still using him greed is the reason why modern controllers drift
@@1moblin2 I mean 2 years and replacing the right and left sticks modules once is great in my eyes. £40 instead of buying new controllers it’s definitely worth it for me. I have 4 new stick modules waiting. So it’s still cheaper to do this than buy new controllers.
Correct. I'll continue using my Scuf Envision as I still think it's significantly better than this, but the fact that companies are finally competing to get rid of stick drift is something worth celebrating
Ive had 3 controllers in the last year an all bought v Sony, they all went into stick drift, pathetic product Sony sort it out,,, im looking for a professional replacement thet will last
I've never tried that one, but I think it has the same paddles layout as the Scuf Envision which is my favorite I've ever used. They definitely mastered the 2 fingers to click 4 paddles layout

Someone try my sens please: look and aim is 4 normal, build and edit sens multiplier are 2.1,look horizontal and vertical ate both 41% with no boosts and instant boost when building on, ADS look horizontal and vertical are both 11%, look input curve is linear, left dead zone is 7 and right deadline is 9
ive had the edge for a year and a half already i got the stick modules to witch them out but i love it i haven’t bought a controller so far so i can say its pretty good
