Your point about 24fps film is correct (with motion blur), however responsiveness will feel significantly better at higher frame rates. That’s why people like playing at them.

I hear you on this. I just think those people that you're referring to, the ones that really care about every additional frame, are likely going to be PC users anyway. But I guess we'll see.

I believe more people than you think care about their games performing the best they can. I just don’t feel the majority of console gamers are willing to update their hardware every 3 or 4 years. But interest free credit is also a thing, so…

Question: Blizzcon is my favorite in person gaming event but of course its not happening this year. I also heard there was some debate last year over costs. Do you think there will be more blizzcons? With the cost of everything is there any chance that Microsoft allow the expense in the future?

He's saying Rockstar could release those versions in addition to PS5 and Xbox Series X. Not replacing PS5 and Xbox Series.

I feel sorry for kids these days. I remember if a console was £200, it was difficult to afford! If consoles were £700 back then, I never would have been able to have an up to date console at all at any point!

and you could buy a house for 10k and a loaf of bread for 5p prices go up but so does wages. game prices have hardly gone up in 30 years! i bought street fighter 2 on the snes for £70 25 years ago. game development costs have gone throught the roof devs wages go up every year its not sustainable like it or not consoles or games need to cost more

The next console generation won't be about better graphics, because as Patcher said, we're in diminishing returns territory. No. then next generation will be about game features, like AI generated speech and voice recognition. It's also use hardware AI to make better gameplay AI and procedurally generated levels/worlds. Imagine GTA where you can go into any building, and talk to anyone. Imagine open worlds where AI creates quests for you on the fly based on the condition of the world and what you like doing. That and more will be what the next generation will be. Yes, we will also get better graphics, but that's going to be minor compared to all the other stuff. If fact I think the biggest impact on graphics will not be the visual quality, but that better AI content generation and ray traced lighting will make that content generation quicker and cheaper.

I own a 5 year old PC, a PS4 pro and the original Switch. I don't feel like I'm missing out not having the latest generation. I'm currently playing FOLON which is a mod for an 8 year old game. I'll probably subscribe to Game pass once my 3 gaming devices can't play any new game.

I agree with patcher . The ps5 pro is basically low end price for the ps6 which would cost $800 to $ 1,300 is my prediction. Also I believe that GTA 6 will release on both the ps5 pro and the PS6 just so Sony and Rockstar games make more profit for the consumer

People gladly buy a $2000 highend PC. A $700 PS5 Pro gets you an experience that is very close to that for a fraction of the cost. I don't like Playstation at all, but consoles are a legit good option for some people.

Sounds like the first 2 years of PS5 being unavailable for most consumers has really hit Sony hard. So they had to raise prices to $700 on the high end. I think Sony will try to be more competitive for the PS6 price aiming for $599
