Thanks so much for this video! I would add one more misconception... "Money Spent is Easy to Replace through Returns". If you had $100 and paid 25% in say taxes or rent, you'd be down to $75. You would need a 33% return on that remaining $75 in order to recoup the 25% loss you took from your spending. Moral... max out your 401K and get a roommate :) Wealthy people constantly look for ways to reduce spending.

I'm really interested in investing, but I have a bad grasp on how it functions. For example, should I ever sell my stocks and if not after the years of holding and compounding, how do you use the money in your portfolio for your purchases (house, car etc...). Also, I've heard from many people that you need to have a balanced portfolio, meaning that I should invest both into stocks and ETFs, but how do you find a good ratio? I know these are beginner questions, but we all have to start somewhere, so if any of you experienced guys could answer me I would really appreciate it! P.S. As far as my financial situation goes, I'm a 23 year old engineering student with quite a bit of student debt and I would only be able to put as much as 100-150$ per month in stocks. I've put this information out here in case you need it to better answer my questions.
