The suicide conversation was really interesting. I spent most of my 20's being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Nothing seemed to work out for me no matter how hard I tried. When I was 20, I had a daughter because the girl I was with lied about being on birth control. Around the age of 27 or so, I was working at Home Depot, part time and going to school. In a 2 month period, 3 of my childhood friends died. One hung himself because his wife left him. One shot himself because of his ptsd from the military, and one had been sober for 5 years then overdosed when he relapsed. I was devastated and drinking a lot every day. Like Tate, i showed up every day and kept doing what I needed to do, kept studying, kept working but I was hurting pretty bad. I had been dealing with suicidal feelings for many years at that point and the deaths of my close friends was putting me over the edge. One night, my daughter called me up on skype and she seemed sad. I asked her what was wrong and she said "Sometimes, I just wish I could see you for real." I hadn't seen her in person for 3 years because my ex had moved out of state with her. I started bawling, and pulled out my credit card, bought the cheapest ticket I could find for when my school break started and told her "Well guess what!? I just bought a ticket to come see you!" My daughter goes running through the house yelling "Dad's coming to see me! Dad's coming to see me!" My ex immediately hops on and ruins everything, throwing a huge shit fit. Fast forward a few months and I'm visiting my daughter. I stayed the whole summer break with her. During that time I did a lot of reflecting and came to the conclusion that I didn't know what I'm supposed to do or how I'm going to do it, but no matter what I will not quit until I get my life together and can provide for my daughter. College ended up not doing shit for me, so I eventually ended up going to trade school. Now I work on powerlines and make just shy of 200k a year. My life is in a place I could never have imagined just a few short years ago. Looking back, the suicidal thoughts, the depression, the deaths of my friends- while they were tragedies, they ended up being the best thing that ever happened to me. I had nothing to lose and went all in on getting out of that dark hole. I am a different person today because of it, and I am grateful for those terrible experiences. I couldn't appreciate it at the time, but looking back it was necessary to get me where I am today.

You couldn't think yourself that putting your sperm in a woman's vagina leads to pregnancy? So if you caught hiv/aids from someone you're intimite with the outcome depends on the other persons honesty? Or dishonesty in your case 🤦
@popofabulous
@popofabulous 2 года назад
@@Tmo2024 haha, well, yes and no. I actually had used protection my entire life up to that point because I didn't want to have kids before I was ready. My ex and I had been friends for a long time before we got in a relationship together and she was adamant about not using condoms and she was on the pill. I told her I would only do it if I watched her take the pill every day and she said that was fine. Years later when we separated, I found all of her birth control in the bathroom drawer and she had been taking the sugar pills. Looking back there were red flags all over the place. I actually confided in my mom about the birth control thing before we even got together and my Mom guilt tripped me saying that women don't lie about things like that and saying I need to trust her if I'm going to be in a relationship with her. The whole situation was stupid and when my ex got pregnant my Mom was the worst about it towards me. Even after I caught her cheating multiple times my Mom was still like "I don't care, you have a responsibility to that kid. Deal with it." For the record, I learned from my mistake. I few years later I decided "This is never happening to me again." And I got a vasectomy. In some ways, I regret it, but it was one of the best things I ever did for myself. Since then, and especially since becoming successful, I've had women steal used condoms from my trash can, poke holes in condoms and come up with every excuse under the sun to not have me use one. My favorite one is "I just want to feel you." Yeah, I'm not wearing them because of pregnancy, I'm wearing them so I don't catch something. The crazy thing is these aren't even (seemingly) ratchet women. But since I started making a shit ton of money I feel like I have this big target on my back and there are all these women who have a life planned with me if they can just lock me down lol sorry, I already learned that lesson the hard way.

You can get rich without having a garbage mentality / personality. I think you need some new idols kid! David was on point too. Wonderfully conducted analysis or interview. Thank you! In regard to a future talk. In this talk Andrew was still atheist, I'd be interesting to know how now believing in a superior power has modified the mindset he shares here.

I don't see eye to eye with Andrew Tate on many things, I don't appreciate certain behaviours and attitudes of his and many of our values are very very different. Despite all of this, I can't help but respect and admire the guy as an accomplished and principled man with integrity. One of the many things I've learnt from watching this whole Tate thing unfold and experiencing my view of him change is: in this life some very very few men earn the right to be bit of an arsehole and still gain your respect while being that way. Andrew Tate is one of those men.

I'm a woman and I completely love his mind, how he thinks, very similar to how I do especially the fact that the thing with the Lamborghini or Ferrari (cant remember) he saw and that motivated me as well and . He's right about the fact that most women do want a strong rich guy who can take care of em. My ass gay but my sister is like that , I never understood why cause for me I like what I like but yea I've seen her choose and deny certain man, the pattern is similar to how tate explains it, I'm not judging her , I used to but who am I to judge. Not all are like that of course but his perspective on pretty much everything just resonates with me and idk listening to him motivates me 10x more cause irl lately I don'tsee people who think like that or expresses themselves that way and it's hard to interact with most people but he inspires me to speak my truth & Love him really do

At 44:00, I recall there were studies done on this topic. The experiment was based around two groups of people, one group were getting electric shocks, the other group had the choice whether or not to swap places with an individual getting an electric shock. The result was that people overwhelmingly swapped places with those getting shocked even though it did no good for them. It basically proved that humans can be altruistic even when they'd get no pleasure from the result. Or at least an altruistic act can be the overwhelming motivation with pleasure coming secondary.

Forever Zen think this is what you’re looking for “For example, if those feeling higher amounts of empathy help only because they want to reduce the discomfort of the situation, then they should help less frequently when they know their task is over and they can simply leave the experiment without helping. Yet this prediction has been repeatedly disconfirmed (Batson 1991, ch. 8).” - source: www.iep.utm.edu/psychego/#SH5c

@foreverzen1965 4 года назад
thanx for the link, QuantumPhysics. while i personally find the empathy-altruism hypothesis (it was kind of weird the conclusion substituted as equivalent egoistic-altruistic, but anyway) unnecessarily mutually exclusive, the option to leave the experiment may not fully explain a “mood-enhancing experience (e.g., feel glad someone was helped)” if those feeling higher amounts of empathy “leave the experiment without helping.”

"How many pushups can you do? Not enough. Get to fucking work" Truth. Talking about fear. I was roofing the other day and as we were going up to the roof my foreman asked me "are you scared?" I said, "scared of what? The roof?" The only thing that was scary was the question. The fact he thought I was afraid of doing what I do every single day. Dude if I was fucking afraid I wouldn't be a roofer. Fear is irrelevant when your roofing or rock climbing or fighting. You just do it anyways. You stay in control to the best of your ability and you don't do something you know is going to bring your death. I bridge the line alot and push the bar and my coworkers think I'm nuts. The only thing I fear is being stupid or letting my fear keep me from overcoming something. There is meaning in overcoming your fears. Strength is to be gained.

I always wondered why he "screams" when he speaks. It just dawned on me while watching this. That's how he regulates his emotions. I personally don't think he is a natural public speaker. He is performative and really quite good at it. The elevated pitch in his voice is essentially compensating for his fear or fears. David did an amazing job regulating his emotions while pushing him to expose them and face them simultaneously. His story about his father taking away 10 dollars because he got two questions wrong in SAT is very telling. Interestingly, he has awareness surrounding his ego. He understands he is largely motivated by his ego.

@l4rkm3ss
@l4rkm3ss 2 месяца назад
The thing im realizing about him is his opinions are fully driven by his personal experiences and this i what limits him. Best example i can use is his view on women. He believes that they all like leaving responsibility and wisdom up to men because all the women he has attracted, are disappointingly really like that. This isnt because they are female its because all living things seek what we lack in ourselves, and for humans, sometimes we do that through the romantic relationships we form, its survival. If a person isnt physically and emotionally strong they will usually naturally find a partner who is, so that they can vicariously be too. Its nature, we all do it. So as shocking as it is he is correct in his observation that the women *around him* (key words around him) are like this, but he hasnt met every women on the planet, he apparently has never met a single mother, or watched any wildlife documentary without worshipping and admiring the male animals whilst completely ignoring the females or only acknowledging them in their shortcomings , (sound familiar?) Andrew tate is very intelligent in his area of expertise, but his extreme knowledge of his own philosophy blinds him from seeing and understanding any other philosophy that remotely contradicts his. You can understand something without agreeing with it, allowing yourself to learn something new about the world and how others live in it is productive, and we’d all be better off if we did so. We learn and grow from adopting and adapting our philosophy, nothing is ever set in stone, not the events in our life nor what our mindsets will be when we experience them. Now, his philosophy works, and it provides a solution that humans have been falling back on since the dawn of time, but its also the exact reason we are falling back. We are the creators of our own obstacles, tate already knows this, but he hasnt and probably never will *see* the obstacle he has made for himself.

Should a person who grew as a person not have true confidence or sum?,there is a difference between doing stuff and actually growing metric wise and thinking ur great and doing nothing hence not growing and thinking ur great. And If u actually thought deeper u would know the reason he's in that state metric wise is because he's part of the people who wasn't arrogant and learned and grew otherwise he would be a fk up,that's simple logic

I'm beginning to believe that Andrew's success owes much more to his mother than to his father. Although he doesn't speak extensively about his mother, he speaks highly of his father's influence. While his father provided the motivation for him to achieve important milestones, it was his mother who filled the gaps between those milestones, creating an environment where he felt emotionaly secure, loved, and supported. and maybe this foundation likely instilled in him a distaste for laziness, as he perceived it as a potential means of losing his father's approval. Just guessing
