Here's the punchline: you can't take a windshield out even with a crowbar. They are heavily laminated to keep the passengers from potentially being thrown through them. Furthermore, even if it WAS one of the other 5 windows that DO shatter, they shatter into those little half cm cubes of safety glass....safety glass would be very very difficult to even *intentionally* break skin with, let alone necessitate an emergency room visit. Safety glass is about as sharp as a zipper.
@@og-pretty Then he said weeks later he saw his friend getting beaten up at a bar and he still had the ski mask the car theif used so he put it on to chase his friend's attackers till the cops came. Why would someone just carry around a dirty ski mask that belonged to a theif? This dude has been a lying piece of shit from the start and I can't believe no one called bullshit on his glass story or wanted to see proof of his kid's scars and medical bills. Also, if he really has a son, that means a mother and possibly grandparents allowed that bullshit origin story to fly just so this idiot could cosplay. I stopped watching the video after 3 mins and doubt I'll be able to finish because it seems like the creator actually believes the story about the glass and ski mask. Maybe it changes but he really seems to buy into it.
@@og-pretty yeah, safety glass isnt sharp or cuts, but on a car crash can be forced inside your body and muscles, i have a friend that still has glass under his face due to an accident But you can brake it pretty easily, otherwhise San Francisco wouldn't be in the middle of a car robbery pandemic lol
@@og-prettyI’ve kicked in windows are cars I’m scrapping and it can cut you pretty bad old friend of mine did that and sliced his leg in 3-4 places and the glass was all over the seat and some on the ground
I met Phoenix Jones 2-3 times. He was a local celebrity before his divorce. After his 15 minutes of fame, I forgot about him until I stumbled upon a pic I got with him. Then I looked him up and saw he got arrested for dealing and was shocked. What a crazy time period that was
Impossible. People have bills to pay and the system is stacked against them. The police would be against you and so would criminals. Think about it. In cities like detroit a guy like this wouldn't last a day and would probably get jumped by a mob of a hundred people. Going after petty thieves is one thing but in order to be an actual super hero you would need an ultra high budget with the backing of the police. One guy in a suit is still just one guy despite all the bells and whistles in the costume. He had a good run but it was bound to get to his head at some point. He is lucky he didn't run into any real criminals that don't care about anyones safety. One guy could flatten this guy with something as simple as a car. Humans have to play it smart a costume is like having one big sign saying "Look at me!" The real crooks are not seen and you wont see them coming. You will just wake up in a hospital wondering where your wallet is.
Here was one trying to be it. But as usual, the cops go against him because they don't want to do their job, and he's making them look bad. So instead of backing him up, they take advantage of some made up charges by drunk people, that might have been a set up. They arrest him to make him out to be the villain, and ruin his whole life. The the majority of the sheep always believe the crooked media, because they are such cowards, that they can't possibly believe that anyone in their right mind would do a good thing, unless they were getting something out of it. So then everyone turns against him, just like the politicians, cops and media knew they would, because they don't want to actually work against crime themselves. Because they might be making money off this crime too, why would they stop it. Well there you go cowards keep your messed up cities. You deserve all the criminals you have, and more.
@@ColtonBarrett Yes you are a joke. Why don't you guys do your job, and stop letting Politics get in your way. Well if you can't stop Politics from getting in your way, then you're a joke, and we need someone that will really do their job. But then you call them vigilantes, and go after them, instead of the criminals. So, either way, you guys are a joke
One thing I hate about phoinex Jones is he talked shit on other real life " superheroes" that preffered to give their time to charities, give out food to the homeless etc and said he was a real hero fighting crime, when all he was doing was picking fights with drunk people
How do we know Ben Fodor isn't like a lookalike or a twin brother that took the blame meanwhile the real Phoenix Jones is living under society (Ghost Protocol style), retired and satisfied with his life choices??
I'm paraphrasing "The Watchmen" but there is a line when the Nite Owl says, something along the lines of, "it takes an extreme personality to become a costumed vigilante." If you've been to an anime convention or have done some MMA, you've probably encountered some extreme personalities. Imagine combining both of those traits.
I was thinking of Watchmen as I watched this video. But yeah, Hollis Mason is a dope guy, funny he's the one to admit that despite being the most normal masked vigilantee.
He was a professional MMA fighter. I bet he made more than that 10k setup was worth in one night. What did he do outside of "crime fighting" and MMA fighting? If he even had a modicum of post education getting 10k isn't that hard. 10k isn't really that much money in the scheme of things.
Bullshit, he's a hypocrotical sanctimonious wanna be celebrity with an interesting gimmick who's 15 minutes of fame went up years ago. If you wanna watch more on how silly the whole thing is, check out a video by Comic Tropes. Former member of the RCSHM "Omega" talks about his time as a superhero and why it's not really needed. And why we should'nt get misty eyed for the failure of a juvenile power fantasy.
@@alnu8355facts. He was known to bully and attack people while slanging drugs himself You can't claim to be fed up with "injustices" while creating them
It would be amazing if it turned out Phoenix was actually innocent, and was set up by his arcenemy then somehow he ends up clearing his name and serving Justice.😂😂😂
The locals know that guy was joke, he maybe MAYBE start with good intentions but mostly he just harassed bars and clubs. He walked around like he was a big macho regulator and was basically a bully and escalated most of his interactions.
@Antonio Gramsci that’s why he always carried a taser, bulletproof vest, and huge ego whenever he went to go and beat up vulnerable people who couldn’t put up a fight. The actual types of criminals good honest heroes need to stand up to aren’t going to be walking around at bars after having a few drinks late at night. It’s not likely to find an Al Capone shooting grandma’s, maybe a lonely Joe Schmo who’s been venting to the night after a hard day’s work.
@Prince t'challa I remember when Joe Rogan reacted to a clip of Jones beating the crud outta a guy who clearly was way too many shots in. 14:45 Jones isn't a bad fighter moreso just someone who has a terrible sense of judgement.
He had good intentions AT FIRST. Crime is an unfortunate constant in our society and it is a good thing that someone wanted to do something about it. However, that someone let his ego get the better of him.
noone "let" his ego get the better of him, he always had an ego-problem. people have seemingly become deluded by comic books, and need to seperate real life from fiction to understand that this guy was never representing a good thing. in real life, no "good samaritan" would actually create an alternate persona with a flamboyant costume because they are serving the "greater good of humanity", without being a completely delusional egomaniac seeking external validation and attention. he seemed more concerned about emulating ficitonal characters in comic books, than actually being a real-life "vigilante". Any serious attempt of vigilantism in real life would certainly be done in secrecy or as a group/movement, not getting infront of a camera and pretending to be a comic book trope
@@Aki-kh2qe-StreetKidZZZ the are many ways to help people, if he wanted he could have joined the police he had the build for, he had a reputation but destroyed it with his own hand, probably now if something like this happen in the future with a new vigilante the police could be more harsh
You know the police must have been *SO HYPED* when they got the tip he was selling dope. After all the times he made them do paperwork or annoyed them, I bet they instantly jumped on the controlled buy
Police: "Nope, there's nothing we can do, sorry you got robbed." Same police weeks later. "You need to stop fighting criminals cause you are making us look bad, and the public likes you more than us"😢
My city had a super hero wannabe that would patrol our downtown and also go to all our major local events. He found one of our banks unlocked at night along with other buildings that should have been locked at the time, and he helped chase a few bad guys on foot with cops during the fair once. His name was captain Jackson. He retired just a couple years back and some blame our towns recent downfall on his absence. 👍
@@ernestorodriguez456 captain Jackson in general? Or the bank being left unlocked specifically? I always thought he proved his integrity with that deal because If I found a bank unlocked, no alarm set and vacant, I would of called some friends and changed my costume real quick.
The one you labeled as Grim Reaper was actually Thanatos and operated in Vancouver. He was an old guy and has not been heard from a while. Presumed dead according to rumors.
Man, this video gave me actual nostalgia. I first heard about this guy back when I was in middle school. Had no idea that he turned into a villain. Time sure does fly.
True story! My friend tried to be a good human and stop a fight and they killed him on the spot, but the guy they were fighting lived! I think about it often! The human is really a good hearted co creator, bad things happen and sometimes we don’t know why!
As someone who lived in Seattle the SPD are one of the most careless and dangerously incompetent police forces. Pheonix wasn't perfect but he definitely cares more than anyone in the SPD.
I don't think the SD are that bad, but there aren't enough of them. It's a seriously under staffed department and if there's a serious crime happening or a big event going on, you can forget about them responding to your problem. : ( EDIT And agreed, Phoenix did a lot of good. It's unfortunate he had so many personal problems afterwards.
In my personal experience, all cops are assholes who only care about how many goons they bag, not about actually protecting the people. If we had more people like who were like the rest of the Rain City League, we wouldn’t need any dumbass police forces.
@@NewYorkInitiative Exactly. plus I have a hard time believing he went after any major dealer because if he did, one would think he'd have enough common sense to keep his identity more of a secret. The fact that he didn't even do that well shows he probably only went after the dealers that most people in that market don't care about rather than the major players to make that much of a difference.
@Perentie with internet *If someone pulls a gun on you*, sure under that specific circumstance but he was seeking out drunk people around bars to fight, not going to the gang territories, and there's a real argument to be made that while not inebriated the folks he was beating on would never have agreed to 'mutual combat', especially if they knew he was a trained Fighter wearing specialty gear.
I'm a seattleite, and honestly it's not too bad. The opioid epidemic hit us pretty hard and our police department does definitely have an institutionalized racism problem and allocates their funding poorly, but we have the best hospitals in Washington and are one of the safest places to be queer and/or trans in the country
@@GENXJOPLIN I think you're saying he shouldn't have been arrested for selling drugs, but do you really think drug dealers are going to give up and get a job at McDonald's? Or do you think they're just going to transition to a different illegal way of making money? Remember, pheonix spent his life learning how to punch people, which has exactly 0 relevance to the job market after you turn 30

There's something so absurd about this story, I had to pause the video and collect myself for a second when you said the superhero Shockwave made a lengthy Facebook post about Phoenix's out of control behavior.
if my date told me 15 minutes in "Im sorry, i have to go, im bleeding heavily from my abdomen" i wouldnt even believe them i looked right at the stab wound lol
He was an incredible example of what we need more then ever Edit: oh right he sold crack um we need crime fighters without crack EDIT 2: Police, that's what we need
I town has a local hero too, started 3 years ago when he said he woke up at the hospital. He had no memories of his past life, also had no family members. He started living at a group home on the north side where he searched for a job. One day while he was at the store buying woods to burn with the homeless, a robber came to the store trying to rob it. While the robber walk in he completely walked past him at the door without seeing bob. When bob realized the robber didn’t see him. Bob turned around and grabbed an umbrella, then hit the robber with it on the Hand n his gun fell. The robber ran then bob tackle him and sat on him till the cops got there. They ended up arresting both of them because it turned out bob was a escaped mental patient who was placed in the wrong hospital room. After setting the hospital on fire. The Northside will forever remember The Northside Psycho Bob for his heroism and the woods he smked with us.
My good friend grew up just a few houses down from him and went to the same school. He said throughout the 9 or 10 years he did, that he’s never met a more delusional person in his life. He said this guy took delusional extremism to a whole new level and whatever he was into at the time, he would completely play that role. He also mentioned the dude probably had a shitty home life he was trying to escape from by living out whatever fantasy he was into that week. Most notably he supposedly had a goth phase that he really went overboard with right before he started watching UFC. Which of course we know how the rest of the story goes… Had I not known exactly where this dude grew up I wouldn’t have believed him because the story was so freaking crazy. But honestly the more I learn, the more I realize he wasn’t just bullshitting me at all. Most everything he told me at the time has completely been verified. It’s absolutely insane 😂
@@LP-ct9nk As a BM myself he definitely sadly has some screws loose Black ppl don't even do the real life superhero character roleplay sh*t. Yet if one did this guy/person would have even the toughest fellow black person. A lil hesitant to approach them. Due to the basic fact that the superhero character person. Would quickly be identified as actually being batsh*t crazy for real real & not for play.
I feel he started it all with good intentions and really wanted to help people. Sadly the Fame and Ego got the best of him. Dont meet your Heroes people, because they are only Human.
ya know phoenix jones was really admirable up until his last few years its really sad to see how such a good person who genuinely wanted to help those in need turn into a drug dealer
Who tf cares. Lots of people still need drugs. Imagine if we just locked up all drug dealers people would find a way to get them anyway. Hell we locked up anyone that smoked a joint not too long ago
Fighting crime without getting paid is really a bad idea.. unless you're really the real life version of Tony Stark or Bruce Wayne it isn't sustainable
I was just thinking about this sicko the other day. I’ll always remember him as the guy who instigated drunk men into fights on film so he could look like he was stopping a bad junkie man, when in reality he was harassing intoxicated people on a night out with their friends…
I find it awesome that phoenix Jones is probably one of the best legit superheros in real life, and sad that he got accused of so many things and had to retire. For the time he was crime fighting, He was a legend.
I remember watching that documentary about him and the other superhero wannabes years ago. I'm surprised none of them got killed as far as I know. There's a damn good reason Batman doesn't exist irl and a lot the stuff that happened with him backs that up. Also, a trained fighter is legally considered a lethal weapon and they can get in a lot of trouble beating up regular folks
As soon as I saw the crew I was like these boys going to get themselves killed. 😂 One of their names was Shockwave. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 What is he going to do to cause a shockwave 😂😂😂
Everyone knows superheroes should be be easily recognized, spottable, and hang out in massive groups on the street with ridiculous outfits to draw as much attention to yourself as humanely possible. Oh and mortal if you can't die where's the challenge?
I mean, there are entire comics about Batman talking to himself about how he’d probably be in Arkham himself if he wasn’t a good liar, or strayed from the law 😂😂😂 Even the character recognizes that it’s crazy to do this, and Phoenix just wants to
Not sure if anyone even remembers Batman Forever, but there was a very clear warning about going down the Phoenix Jones path. "Say you find Harvey, say you kill him. But the pain doesn't die with Harvey, it grows. So you run out into the night to find another face....and another....and another......and another. Until one terrible morning you wake up and realize: revenge has become your whole life."
Jones is polarizing for me I like what he stood for He was a symbol Sure a bit of egotistical symbol but one nonetheless that made people in Seattle a feel a bit better about their streets But he tainted that symbol proving that Heroes in real life would exploit their credibility
Wouldn't you? These people voted for this stuff, and they gotta reap what they sow. Why not partake in it? I don't live in those states where this goes on, but on occasion I go to them an partake in the looting, bring the stuff back to where I'm at, and sell it. I've made a ton of cash from it. They don't want their stuff taken, stop voting for moronic politicans and DAs that allow this stuff. Until then, I and most others will continue to partake in this stuff
He probably started out fighting legit criminals and gang members then realized it wasn't fun getting shot and stabbed and was like, shit, ima just go beat up some wannabe tough guys, towards the end of his career as the Phoenix
You're a legend saving your ad till end, deserved to be watched. Ps ghosts are real (fear of dark or feeling of being watched, they move!) Hold every thought captive as if it's not your own;) and stay away from the rainbow.
Mutal combat doesn't require police just a 3rd party independent of the 2 combatants, you also have to verbalize agreement from both parties before the fight begins. Used it in hs a lotttt.
Mannn I'm not a fighter or anything like that but I feel like more states should have this haha if 2 grown men feel like they gotta duke it out I thinks it's fine as long as no one gets killed.
The reason that people don't step in when they see a crime happening isn't because they don't want to its because if they help they will get in trouble for it
