The puppet is peak fnaf. Their role in the story, the design, they have some of the best variants in the series (espacilly my guy Lefty) and are the most emotinal part of the speech that im sure any fnaf fan has burned into the back of their head at this point

The Puppet has one of the most ICONIC designs in this entire franchise. It's just SO good.

The Puppet is my favorite Animatronic, genuinely remember being terrified by that initial FNAF 2 teaser and the way Phone Guy would describe her. I love that she's one of the few characters that developed over time and was given concreate amswers. Pretty neat! So I'm glad this video is pretty comprehensive of how amazing of a character she is. I just wish they never gave her that voice in UCN. I dislike it so much

You forgot to mention that the MARIONETTE is basically the SANTA of the fnaf franchise, as they gave giftboxes to the children. Another reason why it's the Christmas special! 🎄

Lmao, i completely agree, Fnaf becomes hilarious if you imagine that Afton is just cursed and anyone he touches dies, so the entire series is just him having to cover up accidental murders and not about a psychopathic child murderer, just a guy who accidentally kills everyone around him either by merely touching them (basically Midas' Touch but with Death instead of Gold 😂) or because he's soo god damn ugly that his "victims" literally just die from shock after seeing his face 🤣🤣🤣

The Puppet is pretty interesting. Especially with it's relevance to Charlie. They also have a pretty unique design as well in comparison to the other animations. Which makes it stand out even more as well.

Good video but I highly disagree about the puppet’s voice in UCN. I think it is great. Also, I feel sad for the puppet/Charlie. I can just see it find the dead kids and frantically trying to help. Very compelling.

The puppet is definitely one of my favourite characters to come out of this franchise and I feel that any character that involves her such as lefty and nightmarionne just automatically has this creepy/unsettling essence to them idk she’s just pretty cool I guess great video btw

The novels overcomplicated Charlie to the point where she was almost unrecognisable. The fact that the animatronic she possesses in the games is completely absent in the trilogy just screams wasted potential. I understand that Book Charlie and Game Charlie are two separate characters, but if they're going to omit Sammy's involvement in the story, they should have introduced Human Charlie to Robot Charlie in the form of the Puppet. That could have opened up several doors for plot progression and character development. It also would have helped to solidify the fact that Robot Charlie is not the same character stapled to the Puppet in FNAF 6. I just feel this distinction in the novels would have removed a little bit of the confusion that arose as a result of the Charlie Bots.

I know how William oofed them without doing anything. So, A friend had recently borrowed a $5 bill. He then went to the local restaurant and through the drive through. “Hello sir, what would you like to order?” “I would like a cheeseburger and fries.” “Okay, that will be $5” William checked his wallet. He had no more $5 bills because a friend borrowed a $5 bills. He began to speed away, and end up at the place the Save Him mini game occurs And through his pure anger, just his stare was enough to kill them. And also, the REAL way William always comes back is his need to get the $5 back.

I found my original comment lol) After watching the video, I enjoyed your overall essay about The Puppet. It's crazy how the direction of Puppet changed throughout the entire series. Combined with the novel trilogy that completely changed trying to capture off Circus Baby's popularity by having Charlie being a robot(?) Then when Security Breach came around, people thought he was a robot when, like you mentioned, it's a game mechanic and there are some cut lines about him bleeding. It's cool to see the Nightmarionne plushies in the games. Guess whereever William goes, Charlie follows to protect? Charlie's the Grim Reaper holding him hostage along with Golden Freddy to make sure he doesn't escape. ^^ Thanks for the video. You did an amazing job!

Aye, the Marionette has always been my favorite character in the series. It helps that I always had a fascination with mimes, jesters and harlequins, but their story and role in the series is one that I've always really liked (also where's the Happiest Day minigame mention? you play as the spirit haunting that sock puppet in there) So... it always kinda upsets me when I see them being put in the sidelines... kinda? I mean, the character proper hasn't had any other incarnations besides Nightmarionne (and maybe Lefty if you wanna count that guy), which is honestly really freaking cool... but as far as I recall, only the Fazbear Frights (one of the stingers) really brought her back for an important appearance. I know Charlie and the other children have been freed and gone to heaven by this point (maybe), and Steel Wool has been teasing something regarding Nightmarionne, but still... I wish we got to see the character more often. I do find it interesting how, uh, only now we found out Charlie was probably killed after the other five kids... not before.

I love the implication that The Puppet is actually roaming Fazbear Fright and used a spare mask to throw anyone who knew about her off, but because her only concern is freeing the spirits being stuck there, she just doesn't bother the player and generally stays out of the way. However, the player character doesn't know that right away. And so, when he sees what he assumes to be a second thing alongside Springtrap to worry about, he freaks out and imagines what it COULD do. The Phantom Puppet is a fear of what's to come like the others, but doesn't seem to be a fear of the place catching fire. Also, imagine if they went full-hog with the novel storyline and DID have Charlie meet The Puppet, who indeed still has the soul of her human self. Imagine the fucking emotional payload of meeting yourself: 1: After you had died as a kid and realizing you really are objectively a machine built in your own image 2: After you had died and _your father went mad with grief trying to have you in his life again_ And furthermore, imagine the absurd things you could do with that if you want to continue the legacy of insanity involved there. If they want to go full macaroni and cheese, have Puppet Charlie reconcile and fuse with Robot Charlie in a dire moment and gain some freaky remnant power like the Stitchwraith, kill Afton for real, and finally move on and let Robot Charlie live her life free of the baggage of not being the original by reassuring her that they ARE basically the same person regardless of how they were born.

Charlie was William's first murder committed with his own two hands, not an accident with an animatronic. The first two were accidents (even if Circus Baby meant to kill somebody besides Elizabeth). After that, he wore the rabbit suit to kill.

ugh i looooove the puppet so much and it irks me how fnaf2 made it out to be like the puppet was the lore key to all the things, then immediately after that, the series kind of semi ignored the puppet. up until sister location when the series REALLY started ignoring the puppet and baby was like the new golden child. half of me loves the henry monologue, it really evokes some visceral emotions, but half of it felt like lefty's inclusion in fnaf6 was like, to shut people up almost, like 'yeah i know we forgot to address what happened to the puppet, she burned now, that's it, stfu" i actually heckin loved her voice in ucn. tbh that was almost the exact voice i headcanoned for her since her very first appearance in fnaf2. largely because it kinda reminds me of kyubey in madoka magica? idk if yall have seen that but the cutesy yet deadpan lil girl esque voice kinda nails the weird line crossing of 'this thing is supposed to be cute on some plane but it's really just otherworldly and weird' also i think in ucn it's supposed to convey how she has more memory of herself as a kid than the other animatronics do? like that her voice is the voice of the kid that died rather than the voice of the character the kid is possessing. and the whole "the others are like animals but i am very aware" thing. like it feels like it's supposed to convey that if you sat down with freddy, and was like "who are you really?" he'd still be like "freddy! :D" and not really conscious of being like "oh i am a dead kid also." but if you sat down with the puppet and was like "who are you really?" she'd be able to tell you who charlie was. idk. i think the main reason i like the puppet so much is that she falls into like the Type of character i really like, like eveline in re7 and flowey in undertale, and even to a lesser extent homura in madoka magica. where it's like, this child was utterly failed by the adults around them, and now it's THEIR turn to hurt people? instead of just being the one who gets hurt. o_O tldr yaasss girl slay

I think the reason that the puppets voice sounds like a little girl is because as apposed to the other characters like Freddy who would have voice boxes the puppet is literally a marionette so it’s voice is just Charlie speaking through it

Not only is Gregory a robot, but all the other main characters in the other games (except for fnaf 4) are also robots, because they have static in the game over screen.

You said you don’t know what’s going on in Help Wanted 2, but I have ideas. So I have reasons to say your Cassie’s dad in Help Wanted 2. Cassie always says when she uses certain items ‘it looks just like my dad’s’ and you have the same items in HW2. And, Carnie, yknow that lil dude? He will say ‘you look like you have kids!’. And here’s more that doesn’t correlate with the dad thing, but the character we play as is the Bonnie Masked Bully from FNAF 4. When you go into that weird underground area, there’s a chest that has a Bonnie mask in it and there’s words that say above it ‘this looks familiar’: that could also be a reason why Monty isn’t in the game, why would Cassie’s dad want to see Monty after he killed his favorite animatronic in cold blood? Think about it.
