I also hope his new owners will never let him suffer like that again. Poor little chap was in so much pain. I cried with him but I would have done absolutely anything to have helped this little chap.

None of you use your brain for more than a hat rack. The wording is click bait. It is the responsible thing to do to surrender an animal that you can't care for, but "abandon" makes you idiots click and show you can't use critical thinking.

@@Michiganian8 you know shit happens. Vets cost money and sometimes when things go wrong it goes horribly wrong. We don't know the other person's circumstance, but perhaps by them leaving this pup with someone who could do something that was the best thing they could do. I worked as a vet tech I have seen some animal surrenders, but by law can't disclose info. With what I have seen however is some people will go as far as they can, but there are only certain amount of resources a person has. This pup looked like it needed EMERGENCY care which is incredibly expensive from X-rays to blood panels. The pup was in pain and it took 2 vets. Who's to say the person didn't try before and was at their wits end? I get what people complain about, but the pup ultimately got the care it needed. I just can't condemn someone without knowing the full history and background. Some things are easy to see as black until you learn the full truth. This story is through a lense and you get zero of the other side.

It was obvious to anyone that this puppy was in pain. They dont cry constantly like that for nothing. The owners should have taken him straight to a vet. These kind of people shouldnt have pets if cant afford vet fees if they become ill.

Perhaps they had tried, or simply didn't have the resources to handle it and therefore gave him up to the shelter as they would be able to do better by the dog? We're only presented one side of the story and we don't really know the efforts put in by the owners beforehand. I do get what you mean though, and you are right that as an owner you need to check, but I'm just not sure if the judgement is 100% founded. Edit: I'd like to note the video says, “she entrusted him to us to help him” which implies the owner gave up the dog because she was unable to give the help he needed herself, and at times you simply can't. Things happen.

You take charge until the end and do the best you can, just like with a person, you don't abandon a person, less if they are sick, the same with a creature that you decided to take responsibility for and take care of, you don't abandon it, you go and you do everything in your power to give him health again. If you don't have a lot of money you get it, it's a responsibility, just like a human, and if you can't tolerate it, you go and leave it in a place where they can help it or at least give it a roof over its head. Unless the other owner has died or this creature has been lost, this is irresponsible and cruel and is not done.

@@sputchocho and some mothers were forced to give up their babies to an orphanage because they could no longer afford to care for them or didn't think they had what it takes. It could have been unplanned like some pregnancies are. Sometimes a family gives one of the family members a dog as a gift. Not knowing the expenses of that family member

@@sputchocho is this not the owner doing all that's in their power to give him health again, a place with a roof over its head and where he can get the help he needs? You make it so simple as if money can just be found when you need it, but life happens. I do get what you mean, and I totally understand your sentiments and where you're coming from, and whilst I agree that this is not ideal, I cannot blame the owner without knowing the full story because there are some situations where that's honestly the best they can do, especially for the dogs future. I mean if you know you can't provide for his sicklyness, is it better to just let him die painfully and suffer for a long time, or give him to someone who can help him, who you can trust and who can ensure his safety? This is not a case of an owner dumping the dog on the streetside, the video indicated that the owner understood the dog was suffering and entrusted him to them so they can help him. Even when it comes to children, there are people in really dire situations who end up having to put their own children up for adoption because they know they can't provide for them a good life, care for them as they deserve and ensure their future. Though this is unideal, and not something I'd even encourage, I am aware that there are situations and circumstances where that may be the best bet to ensure the survival and thriving of one's child. This is a tragic thing to have to do, but even in such a case I don't think we should rush to blame and hate the parent when we don't know and haven't experienced the circumstances. Yes, we could say “why did she adopt him in the first place?”, but even here we must understand things happen. Not everyone who adopts a dog is ready to have surgeries on the dog immediately. They probably had the money to look after the dog, but not for the surgeries. Just like when you have a baby, most people would not necessarily be ready or have budgeted to take the child through many surgeries after he's born. Yes, we can blame them for being unprepared, but we also have to realise some of it is out of their control. I'm grateful though that at least with children or medical things greater support and infrastructure are in place to aid in such situations. But I hope you get what I'm saying.

Totalmente. La gente se excusa en las circunstancias para abandonar a una criatura, pero nada lo justifica, si tu tomaste una responsabilidad, continuas teniéndola y responsabilizandote de ella. Es lo mismo si fuera una persona, no puedes abandonarla a su suerte porque es "molesta", menos si está enferma y aún menos si no puede cuidar de si mismo la persona o la criatura. Pero obvio, como son criaturas, es super fácil deshacerse de ellas, más que con un humano, y es super fácil justificarte, porqué? Por qué a la mayoría le importa igual de poco. Es una irresponsabilidad y crueldad con seres inocentes.

Nunca veremos esto en mexico la primera ayuda k darian los k tienen perritos k no lucren con sus cachorros y dos k los operen para no tener mas cachoros en estado de calle y 3 k no los golpeen no los tengan como guardianes de su casa en azoteas en jaulas no merecen vivir asi sienten lloran y leyes k pagen multas o ballan tras rejas xk no es justo
