Gotta say man, I did not think I would be binge watching "job for a cowboys bassist" on RU-vid. Your tone, and humor is phenomenal. Go for the LP, Vlad.
It is my pleasure to subscribe to your channel Nick, your a exceptional bassist as n inspiration too me a 57 year old kid who am not or has any intentions on quitting bass even with a neurological sickness that took playing guitar away from me. Keep up the great work brother aka Havoc and Job for a Cowboy, 🤠😅
Thanks for asking me to so nicely to subscribe. I was able to click on the icon that says ‘subscribe’ and it actually worked! Wowzers. This technology stuff is wild! “You let one slip there Bernie.” 🤣🤣🤣
Arguably, the best part of this video is the Huralahee boys movie company reference (not to downgrade the obvious talent on display). He’s a good hard working boy, let him shuffle your Purdee for Christ’s sakes.
As always, the rabbit hole of your bass expansiveness is mind blowing, Nick. Fuck man, you are such an inspiration in my journey of perfecting the bass guitar. It is a pleasure to subscribe to you, and thank you for being the bass guitar god that we can all come to for the most epic videos🤘
Saw Cephalic live a bunch of times, nice guys, hung out with them, yadda yadda. Years and years go by, I revisit the CC catalogue and am blown away and appreciate it even more. What a great video (and channel) to stumble across on my CC memory lane trip. I wish so damn much there was a new album. What a great, under-appreciated band. It really was phenomenal.
I watched this Purdie video a bunch of times many years ago when I was trying to figure out his 'signature shuffle' It was so damn funny I sent it out to a bunch of friends. I about peed my pants when I saw what you did with it...kinda genius....just sayin'. Now my friends get it all over again. Thanks
I've been having a really junky day today, but this made me have a genuine smile the whole way through. Thank you so much for that. I appreciate all the hard work you've put into this and your craft. Im finally gonna get up and stop laying around in the dark. Thank you again.
Nick I fucking love and miss you brother!!! This made my day dude. I hope you are doing well and kicking ass! I cant wait for the new NPT stuff to come out. I talked with Pete the other day and I'm digging the newest member of NPT. Going to be so funky!! Much love
Ive been jamming claypool's stuff for 20+ years. He is in my top 3. You are right there next to him nick, love it. Great shit, the fact i didnt realize you were job's bassist made me feel stupid and surprised too. Your work with cephalic is some of my favorites. Hands down great attitude, amazing talent looking forward to more even though this is a 3 yr video. Ive watched ur recent stuff. Pretty sick you guys did a cattle decap cameo lol thought that was you. Use to practice with them, played a show with those guys down here in san diego back in the karma bloody karma days. They are amazing aswell.
man, you are my new hero... love the purdie shuffle love your video! this is one of the coolest things I have ever seen in my life!!! you rock, dude! greetz from austria
I'm driving that view count way up because I think I've watched this like 20 times in the last 48 hours and shared with everyone from my brother-in-law to my drug dealer. Just kidding about the drug dealer. Music is my drug. This video specifically. So I keep rewatching it.
Man I absolutely LOVED this ! Put the biggest smile on my face , seeing you have FUN doing it . Was just like you were hanging in the studio with Bernard 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💫

@@NickShinz Whats taking me forever is figuring that pentatonic run at 5:16. It's groovy af and I'm practicing it but can't nail it down.. Mind lending a hand?
