no, although our society is becoming fucked up. if the government did try to make all crimes legal it just wouldn't happen. people would try to stop it, and if it did there wouldn't be much people out doing bad things. the movie just shows that EVERYONE kills but that's not true. so if it did happen (it most likely won't) people wouldn't do much:/

+Orlando Natapradja No it's a special prop weapon for movies, you put powder rounds in it but there won't be any bullets coming out, just the "fire". You can compare it to a alarm pistol

it said 2023 was the sixth in the movie and 2017 was the start of the purge in the movies world so everyone calm down they were talking about the movie not reality
