I'm a Conservative Canadian, I'm not Jewish. I've been trying to tell my Liberal friends for the last 6 or 7 years to wake up that antisemitism is absolutely still our worst form of bigotry and xenophobia in the west. Idk how to help besides to call it out.

A pattern I have recognized before is that modern sympathies for the Holocaust are only considered from a humanitarian stance, with the Jewish people as a group. However, when discussing the Jewish people from any other angle, often religious ones, true colors will show forth. Thus, displaying the hatred reserved for them by others, even if they have expressed sympathies before. This is utterly two-faced of modern society. As someone who is religiously Jewish, or affiliates with them in this wise, but is not of Jewish heritage himself. It saddens me to have met many people of Jewish descent who have vociferously denounced or even acted mortified of their own heritage. For an additional example, the same has occurred to a lesser degree with many Filipinos I have met before. I am half Filipino, and wasn't raised around the culture. This is the phenomenon encapsulated by the proverbial greener grass on the other end. Mr. Rochman is absolutely right in indicating that this is what happens when people refuse to stand up for their identities, whether ethnically or personally, the other flank is encouraged suppress them.
If you are Jewish, then its your heritage too. There's no distinction between those born Jewish and those who converted. A Jew is a Jew in every sense of the word.
Rudy, I liked your analogies between anti-Semitism and sexism (as well as DV) because as a woman who is also part Jewish, I find the left treats both aspects of my identity in a similar way. We are left politically homeless. Sexism and anti-Semitism maybe the oldest human oppressions...thousands upon thousands years old, and with it comes complexities that our society has a hard time grappling with. Like when you mentioned the idea of passing...perfect example. People seem to think oppression is just this discrimination on the street by strangers approach. This is only one small aspect of how an identity is positioned within a society. Whether you're a woman passing as a man or a Jew passing as white, your largest encounters within life with the people around you will change with the knowledge of who you are. How strangers react to your immediate presence is only one aspect of how discrimination works. If you have to hold back the truth about your sex or ethnic origin to receive some sort of societal benefit... that's a part of a particular experience that arises from discrimination and oppression.

completely agree with u except on two points. The Spanish Inquisition also existed because the christian "spanish" had just conquered their lands back from Islam and they were trying to stop the spread of Islam. So it wasn't just about the jews. And 2, it's not the far right and far left. Its the far right and just the left. Hating Israel or hiding your anti-semitism as anti-zionism, isn't a far left thing. It's pretty mainstream.
With regards to point one, I's say that the Spanish Inquisition though had a motive in trying to stop the spread of Islam, many Jews were killed, discriminated and harmed in the process by both sides. For point two, I'd say it's not just that mate, the far-right, right-winged and the far-left as well as leftists do criticize Israel and the Jewish community. The ones who are rational or peace-looking towards the conflict without rejecting both sides would be in the centrist/center-spectrum (Centre-left or Centre-right). I am from Australia, and I personally know LGBTQ mates who were right-winged as they favor the security and nationalism of the country, but condemn the Zionists as the colonizers. I also know several straight leftists who support equality, LGBTQ and freedom of speech but they understand and condemn people who equate Zionism and Nazism. Personally, I am a Zionist Liberal Christian Centrist Multiculturalist in politics and religion wise, because I do support minority rights and the Jewish rights to self-determination, I support social rights such as equality for basic starters' pay, LGBTQ and abortion rights, freedom of speech, religion and equal laws for sex/race. But at the same time, I am a Capitalist who also believes in differing profit from workers of all ranks (Those that work harder get more pay, those that do easier jobs get less pay), standing up for free market economies and ownership of private properties due to your own effort in earning the money to purchase that property/product. I support stability of the country with several laws to ensure citizens are safe, freedom to react the same way there will be freedom of speech as according to Newton's 3rd law of motion: For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. I sometimes support the law in dealing with extremists on both sides or those that disrupt public traffic. I am basically someone who favors the unity of both right-winged and left-winged laws, and I disapprove like what Rudy Rochman said, the higher people/authority that divides the laws into the left/right spectrum. All of these factors are equally important to the growth of the nation. (Please do understand, I am not disagreeing with your points, rather I am extending them). Thank you for making such a great video Rudy. I learned so much about our culture and history. The last segment you shared is perhaps the most frightening and is making me think a lot about the last 10 or so years. The reason I say this is because the same people that I support for a journey to equality with their people can be (not all) the same people that make these claims about our Jewish people. Again not everyone, but unfortunately they exist with that unfortunate point of view. It makes us feel like no matter what we do, support you, you, and you, we still have “it’s the Jews fault”

Much respect brother! My grandfathers family were Hungarian jew and I remember being made fun of in school here in Pittsburgh pa usa for having "a big nose" and thick eyebrows. Ive always been extremely proud of my Jewish heritage! Also about 5 years ago was the tree of life synagogue tragedy. A lunatic went in and murdered alot of innocent people over antisemitism. I live just 15 min from Squirrel Hill PA where it happened and it disgusted me and broke my heart! Another thing I am disgusted with is Kanye and what's going on today. You have explained much information I always wondered about especially the whole "white" thing. I grew up in all Black Upper Middle Class community that was a street away from the Jewish community in Cincinnati, Ohio and as a child I just saw them as white people who houses were a little bigger. I always thought that they were white people who practiced a religion that made them Jewish and not a race. You have shared some very interesting things in this commentary.
First off I want to say your channel has helped quite a bit in understanding points from inside. That are a little hard to come by where i am from. I understand being from and standing up for your heritage. The fragmentation in on stance recent years is not a weakness it shoes that jewish people are not a entity, but a culture. I have found that it is the mystery of the culture that causes a "fear", if you will. That with religious contexts, historic records vs. historic teachings, and basic human tribalism. I have spent alot of time trying to learn more as I aged. Yet, am at the stage of approaching synagogue to ask for more information. The internet and books are more outsider speak and subjective
I don't get one thing: one would probably have a very hard time coming up with an ethnic group that made more significant contributions to humanity's prosperity than the Jews. The number of Jewish scientists alone is just jaw-dropping, despite there being relatively few Jews in the world. Why would you hate them? Doesn't make any sense imo.

What is the difference between the two descriptions you gave between successful ethnic groups in the US and those who establish their own communities? None of the groups you mentioned overlapped. This is what differentiates the Jews from other groups. Our numbers are so small yet we are overrepresented in medicine, business, and law. This is true even in the communities I’ve lived in my home state of Florida. When driving on the highways you will see billboards for Lori Goldstein, PA or Rubenstein Law. The largest dental group in Central Florida is Greenberg Dental. I have heard some say that claiming that Jew hatred stems from jealousy is a cop out. I disagree. I have experienced this in my own line of work as a nurse. I have always been in a league of my own in terms of work ethic and performance which has enabled me to receive more raises, bonuses, and promotions than my colleagues including some who have worked for my facility decades longer. I am accustomed to being informed of the gossip others say about me. I am accustomed to the stares of envy and even in rare cases, open anti-semitism when one of my white co-workers decided to share her thoughts with me about those “F***ing Jews!” I have invested my nursing income wisely in the real estate market and have been very successful. When my co-workers in their 40’s and 50’s at that point in their lives are still riddled with debt, live primarily check to check, and still live in apartments, how do you think they feel when they look over at the young man in his 30’s who has owned multiple homes and now only needs to work as a nurse part time because his financial situation is so secure? Do you think they look at me with happiness and try to learn from my good decisions in order to better their lives or do you think they look at me with resentment and externalize their personal dissatisfaction onto me? Unfortunately it is almost always the latter. Many humans are envious by nature and many lack personal accountability. It cannot be their fault that their life situation is not what they desire it to be. Moreover, the success of others cannot be from their own merit, rather it must be attributed to some form of privelage or generational wealth. I benefited from neither of those. Even though I had excellent credit I was denied student loans and federal grants for nursing school. I had to pay everything our of pocket and I worked the entire time I was in school. I remember at times scraping the floor of my car for loose change praying that I could find enough to fill my car’s fuel tank with enough gas to make it home from clinicals. The only other Jew to work at my current place of employment was the former evening supervisor whose common perception by our peers was, “You may not like her attitude but she was the most thorough person I’ve ever seen.” How come the only two Jews who have worked in this facility (owned and operated by non-Jews) are held in the highest regard in terms of work ethic and performance? I agree with you Rudy that it is cultural. However, when people do see an ethnic group which is so small in numbers though so highly successful it is easy to form conspiracy theories about them. There are also the Jewish conspiracy theories which have been passed on to successive generations since the time of the nazi’s and prior. Unfortunately, given our history and considering the nature of humanity, anti-semitism is something the will never be rid from this world. I agree that the answer is strength. Subserviance is for the weak. It is time for Jews to assert themselves and combat the conspiracy theories with education and facts. I am a proud Jew and Zionist and I will never be ashamed of my ethnicity.
It's interesting. YHWH woke me up, about a year ago, to the fact that I am a Hebrew Israelite (genetically). It took a long period of study and prayer to YHWH, and listening to Jewish Rabbis and Hebrew Israelite Morehs for me to get to that conclusion. But I find it interesting, that in your response you take all of the credit for yourself. I didn't see you glorify YHWH at all. It's all about your hard work, and determination. When in reality YHWH blessed you, HE made your investments prosper, HE gave you favor in the eyes of your employers. As someone who is actually experiencing the curses of Deuteronomy 28, and who actually feels like a woman in an abusive situation (i.e. America), it's very frustrating to see your response and watch you give no credit to YHWH for favoring you. Like HE could very easily have made everything in your hand not prosper, despite your hard work. Which is what is happening to the Hebrew Israelites, who are actually experiencing the curses prophesied. Do you guys ever think about that?

Your analogies of Jews to a battered woman and to the immune system made me think of the problem in society where many people don’t trust the health care system and become violent towards individual doctors and nurses. It is a chicken and egg situation where there are many causes for illness and the system has failed the public in many ways, but then because of the hostile environment many healthcare workers drop out, become angry towards patients, and/or blame the whole situation on themselves. A similar thing occurs in a family system where the designated “healer” is physically and emotionally unsafe and then becomes less and less effective in the role of caregiver….or if you want to look at it from the opposite angle, where her caregiving has lost effectiveness and the others lose trust and vent anger towards her… In such a case, I wonder- What practical and spiritual “remedies” actually help to heal the world? What just makes things worse and diminishes our credibility? How can one heal anything under conditions of terror?

Just curious, I support native people having their native land, but why dont we support that stance for all native people? Native americans, Hawaiian, South Africa, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Australia, Canada, new Zealand, and so many more places have had colonizers take thier land, and natives suffer. Should all decendents of colonizers return to their homeland and return the stolen land?
That's not what it is about. Using Israel as an example, the descendants of the Arab colonizers still have the right to live in the Levant, but they don't have the right to say that jews don't have the same right and especially don't have the right to kill jews due to their desired Islamic Supremacy.
I think the one big difference I can think of when it comes to Israel versus the natives of all the other places u mentioned is - modernism. All the other native live like their ancestors. They would rather be part of the past than the modern world. Which is fine in theory. The Israelis are really the only ones from your list that want to and do live in the modern world. I do think (not all the land) but part of the lands taken should be returned to the natives. Problem with that is, the tribes. If u say cut off western canada and made everything west of say alberta a new native land. How is that really returning the land to say the Iraqoui tribe that lived on the east coast?

There are a lot of communist antisemites. Sometimes its becuase they are not educated on the israel-palestine conflict, sometimes they use antisemitic rhetoric when it comes to critizise capitalism because they dont have a distinct and profound understanding on the systematic of capitalism. This is undoubtetly a huge problem and i as a communist, as someone who is educated on antisemitism and as an unconditional supporter of Israel know that there is urgent need to work on that issue. Yet antisemitism is not part of its ideology components. communism in the core is about the workers liberation from exploitation, equal economic and social power of all people and the abolition of all kinds of oppression. In contrast to that, the far right is inherently antisemitic. There is not a single neo-nazi on the whole planet who does not advocate for the expulsion or elimination of jews because their whole ideology is built up on the antisemitic myths explained in this video.
