It's amazing you can see clearly the Holy Quran related to Palestinian brothers and sisters suffering but still stand up on their faith. During this staff time Allah Akhtar ☝🏼.

In Islam, guidance to Islam can only be given by Allah. After I watched Jeffrey Lang speech, I finally understand why guidance can only be given by Allah alone. I think Allah can see each people who they really are and Allah only guides people who capable to form relationship with HIM by that existential relationship. I am born Muslim and I blown away by Jeffrey Lang reasoning of Qur'an message because while I knew most of what he said before, I don't even know the link between all that and find the philosophical treasure of it until Jeffrey Lang show me how to uncover it.

Very good video, i liked the reflections you guys were making and the thoughts that you shared. Jeffrey is an impressive speaker and may Allah reward him for sharing reflecting and sharing the message and experiences going through the Quran.

@52:25 Yes, Allah is sovereign and yes he is in control and knows everything that will happen. The terrible attributes (selfish, sinful, all the bad things, etc.) are not things from him, those characteristics are the result of going against his directive (be good, do good, read, use your intellect , etc.) We are given the choice as the video said, we can choose the path he laid out, or, you can choose the opposite, the things that take you away from him. So no those things are not his characteristic because they go against his nature. For example being Just is his nature, he is not unjust. We can be unjust while God cannot because it violates his nature. Hope that makes sense.

One of the things that stuck in my head is that pain alone is not enough to get closer to God, but it can keep you away from Him... All three elements must be taken into account as mentioned in the Qur’an in order to achieve a balance between reason, freedom of choice, and pain ......God is the Greatest 👏

Yes.. It is not about not pretending to be in pain and suffering, it is about being patient with it because God told us that this life is a test...and this patience will never come without faith.

I used to get frustrated when I converted to Islam, because many Muslims expected me to do something that they were unable and unwilling to do themselves: look at your own religion from a critical point of view and read other religious texts with an open mind. But at the end of the day, I realized it doesn't matter. Sometimes people use flawed arguments to defend valid ideas. It's annoying when it happens, but if you're seeking the truth, you can't let frustration make you reject a conclusion that you know makes sense because you disagree with the arguments people used.

Did you just know that Jeffery Lang has books that explain how he became Muslim , and also he had a book explaining almost every chapter of the quran from his perspective, this guy is smart and see things from different angles and outside the box the perspective of an image can change the hole meaning don't just look from your point of view.. This (Qur'an) is notification for the people that they may be warned thereby and that they may know that He is but one God and that those of understanding will be reminded. [Qur'an 14:52]

I respect so much how Justin was being very respectful to the audience and trying not to intimidate them when James was looking forward to know about the dark side of God’s attributes as he mentions. However, I actually validate James’s questioning about why Dr. Jeffrey did not mention the negative attributes of God (I seek refuge to God from saying that) because how can you understand things without asking questions, right? And my answer is because God is perfect, all good, and the source of all goodness. So, why should I worship a god that has negative attributes that may lead me to do negative things? If that was the case then he is not a god worth of worship. Dr. Jeffrey may had compared a relationship between a human and animal or an authorial human to another like father and daughter, but maybe he missed or forgot to mention that the relationship between a human (how authorial a human can be) and The Creator and is unique from any other relationships. The nature of human being when seeking help and support is always to seek from something/someone who is able to grant/give things he is not able to gain by himself. You can seek from a king but a king will eventually die. You can seek from the rich, they will also eventually die or lose their fortune. But to seek from The Almighty, The Creator, The Provider, The Sustainer (and the list of names and attributes goes on and on), you will never lose your way because you exactly know whom have your back and sustaining you to endure in this life. That’s the God that I want to worship, all perfect, no flaws, The Most Just, The Most Merciful. (If you want to know more about the names and attributes of Allah you can simply search it on google, that way you will understand to whom the Muslims are praying to and why). The best way to understand suffering is two ways one it happens to you for example a loved one passes away in Islam God has promised us that we will meet them again so how much are you going to suffer if you have a covenant from God himself telling you will be reunited. Two is seeing the suffering of others. I saw a video then saved it too cause people need to see it. Whenever I upload it anywhere it gets removed… in the video there’s a Palestinian Muslim mother with her young child in her hands while he’s bleeding from his throat she is screaming and crying and the baby is just there lifeless and it made me shiver I imagined my own kid in that position I wondered what I would do I cried at the end of it all with my eyes wide open. Even now tears are in my eyes… that child is with God now and he will complain about his life to God and whatever punishment God gives these people it will be sufficient and eternal because he is the most wise most merciful. Lesson is if your going to be killing,using abusing people for your own gains so you can have more land and beach front properties or whatever then you will only be able to enjoy this life not the afterlife.

May Allah open the gate of the highest paradise to brother Jeffrey, for his love for the Quran, Allah, prophet Mohamed peace be upon Him, for the knowledge seeking and fro his efforts. it is not easy to study the Quran because we will never reach the full of knowledge of it, as Allah says, Allah has the keys to the fullest of the unknown and the unseen. We are being given as knowledge, signs, miracles and what our eyes can see only for what Allah has limites us to. the creation of all things are and will always be mysterious and because Allah remains the Greatest, in his Greatness we understand why a lot of things are hidden from us... The unseen and our inability to reach them is a reminder of consciousness about the Greatness of Allah and as weak beings as we are sometimes messing with our Lord, what to say about what He's hiding from us, obviously, we will always have people wanting to change the nature and what Allah has created, so Thank God we do not know everything.

This is why Allah and Prophet tell us to read the Quran daily. You grow also in the inderestanding of the Quran and opnes doors in your mind.

Hello So about the sovereign part here is my view of it: God is the teacher that is doing the test to his students> he knows their capacities, he knows their abilities and trusts you will do better than he expects In islam we have belief of qadaa and qadar : so some of our choices are pre written (can still be modified if you make wish to god so it is not 100% imposed) because it will help put you be in the best alter reality possible, but other paths have multiple choices and those will lead to better of worsen your life and after life God (Allah subhanaho wa taala) knows of the outcome of all possible choices aka alter realities possible, but we believe he actively acts so that we can be in the best one even with our worse choices, but we have the freedom to refuse the signs and guidance he offer, and this applies to the whole mankind not just muslims Again That is just my understanding of my religion, some might see it differently Hope it helps And God knows best PS ZAKIR NAIK has good videos about that particular question that a lot of Muslims and non Muslims struggle with😊

We must not be lazy anymore... Remember that experiencing pain is one of the three elements for obtaining happiness and getting closer to God in this world, and it is one of the three means for achieving immortality and bliss in the afterlife.

As human beings we need constant reminders. That's why you even have the 5 daily prater at dawn, afternoon evenings and night to maintain that connection with God and reach a higher spiritual perfection. You guys need to do a reaction video on the 5 daily prayers in Islam. Even with my Non Muslim friends who have tried it they report a feeling of peace, power and clarity of mind which they never knew was possible or even existed.

The opposite side of the virtues are the result of the rejection from choice. Allah is guiding us to the virtues by being the example of entirely love, compassion, and justice etc.

In our culture we say if someone warns you they didn’t harm you. Quran is both Warner and glad tiding . So being told and being warned about God is biding responsiblity that needs to be researched and learned by looking into His revelations (Quran)
