Very, very underrated. The harmony was perfection. I was 40+yo when I first heard them and the young man at the CD store looked at me and ask where did you hear about them
I had Love Junk, and Daring Adventures by Richard Thompson on a cassette in my shitty car I used to drive to the shittiest job I ever had in my life. I cannot express how grateful I was to TPoH, and Richard Thompson for making what was easily the worst time of my adult life bearable.
First time we saw TPOH was at Louie's Pub on the campus of the U of S that's right (University of Saskatchewan) they had a dance floor then : ) What a glorious, glittering evening ..... what a party ... what a Band !!
I just bought this cd at Goodwill. I bought this not knowing a single song. Now I am hooked hard on them. This song is better than drugs and hugs. I am so glad I took a chance cause it paid off big time. Thanks Goodwill you gave me a thrill.
Served them at the "Main Event' Sport's Bar Yonge/College in the eighties, met them all loved them all....Moe so fricken hilarious and cool...all of them were great, they tipped amazingly and made me feel so welcome when serving them....and need to mention "Moe' lead singer is a genius. 💗💗💕💕
That era in the 80's when it was mandatory to put out a video for every single song to get airplay. I still play Love Junk. The older one gets, the more one relates to the lyrics. Moe saw the future and it's not pretty being an adult now.
I met Moe in Perth Australia in 1989 at a bar before the show - - I had Love Junk in my car playing for 6 months before I met him - for me it was like meeting Elvis - A better record company Manager - they could have been massive. But alas they just rocked. Thanks TPOH
