The Push & Pull, Pleasure & Pain of the Manifestor-Projector Relationship

This is fascinating. I'm a self-projected projector (3/5) and I'm falling in love with an emo manifestor (4/6), and without knowing anything about the Mani type, I intuitively gathered /sensed almost all of this. I even had an innate knowing that I couldn't (or shouldn't?) ask questions (even though I knew generators love and need that), it was just a distinct feeling that it wouldn't work or would be weirdly awkward?? So I naturally found myself "informing" (this can be the cutest and sweetest communication vibe, its not aggressive or accosting). But I do feel a little pointless sometimes, because I KNOW my projector abilities are/will be pretty rarely prevailed upon 😅 HOWEVER, I am finding that it is actually very healing for me because (especially during those periods of the manifestor creative flow where they need total solitude or independence) I am invited to re-invest energy and attention into my other relationships and my own creative work. It's liberating, actually. The only thing that is causing some anxiety is "what if i am not recognized properly", and "what if I don't get invited in the ways I need to be"? And I know he's feeling "what if I'm rejected?". When two people are solid enough in themselves and have done some good healing, I think it all boils down to compassion, communication (using correct interaction god willing lol) and true love. That's my take, anyway! Projectors, we just gotta stay lighthearted, laugh at things and ourselves, and surround ourselves with many loving and recognition-fueled relationships so we don't feel deprived by our manifestors. But also like...don't put up with bullshit. A Mani who is good for you will be informing you ALL the time.

Im a female Manifestor & remember asking my Projector partner out when we first met. And he lit up and said Yes!! We got married a year after dating. I greatly admire the Projector’s emotional & social intelligence. We ran into many roadbumps bc of the differences you covered here- but I think we’re getting better with time. It’s always a pleasant surprise to realize Projector wants me to do the things I love (even if they cant relate or understand).

As a Manifestor, I have to say that hitting my head on the wall learning the consequences of my choices have taught me the biggest life lessons 😊

As a 6/2 Ego Manifentor I can feel that the door to connections is opened by me. To be honest it is the most attractive to see the projector doing their own thing and on these moments I feel the most drawn to initiate the connection and invite them to shine. But it is rather hard to stand in our power and be aware of it. It can be consuming.

I'm in a relationship with a projector and everything you said is so accurate. While watching this video, I messaged him that I recognize and acknowledge him. We'll see how that goes lol. But regarding your question on how we manifestors learn...I will say (for me at least) that I 100% learn by making mistakes. Sometimed I purposefully do it to experiment and learn how to not make the same mistakes again. My projector bf knows and gives me very wise warnings. This always angers me but he's learned to just let me do my thing. He knows I make mistakes on purpose sometimes to learn. Another thing you're right about is the manifestor "bully" energy. When I was at my most unaligned as a manifestor, I was extremely abusive towards him. Keep doing what you're doing. You see and present things with such accuracy! You're a great projector.

Use it and drop it. It’s a tool to control just like anything before. Read it and drop it. Go live! You always knew this: it’s just a reassurance.

I’m so glad I found this video. I’m a 5/1 Emotional Projector and my partner of 9 years is a 6/2 Emotional Manifestor. I feel like I’ve been banging my head on the wall. It has felt like chronic projections and they don’t mean it but I can’t inform them enough with meeting a brick wall and even more projections and continuous blame. This has help me understand things and I’m realizing I’m the one that needs to change. I pray I do well. She’s an INFJ and very empathic, but when the projections start happening all of that is out the window. For so long I thought I was a. As person but that wasnt in alignment with me bc all I want to do is help.

Thank you Melanie for your content! Nice to get a little more insight into this relationship. I am an emotional Manifestor 1/3 and recently I discovered that many family and friends are projectors (quite a few of them with a 5/1 profile). Now that I know that, it also explains the ‘push and pull’ that I experience with many of them. I was previously unaware of my Manifestor impact and could then roll over them, especially when the Projector friends mostly gave me unsolicited advice. Then I immediately got into my anger. This caused me to cut off some contacts quite abruptly. In retrospect, I found their penetrating energy very intense, it felt like I couldn't move freely with their eyes that absorbed me (yep, true Manifestor;)) I now see that Projectors can be a wonderful guide for me and that if I inform and make them aware of their Projector power (waiting for my invitation to share their advice and give me direction), it can be a very valuable relationship to be in. My need for this possible deep connection is growing. More people around me are aware of Human Design and that makes it possible to connect more deeply. In authenticity; our uniqueness. I’m a female 1/3 splenic ego manifestor and tend to draw projectors into my life who really teach my to set firm boundaries. It’s always a mess and often times doesn’t feel good for both sides because I feel the bitterness after my rejection so deeply. This video is amazing and helped me a lot to understand… THANK YOU!!

Wow Melanie I found this at the perfect time. I’m a manifestor male and have a projector daughter and wife. This was incredibly valuable for me to learn their designs interaction with mine. I hate being told what to do, and see the strain it causes them. Finding ways to hear and recognize them has been my primary focus for years now, and I will say there is a lot of push and pull. Overall we have immense power and impact, our fiends always comment on it. Finding ways to navigate the inner world has been the challenge. I appreciate this wisdom

I had to watch this video because as a projector I have a gen-man friend that I do appreciate. We used to go in vacation together but I noticed that her energy drains me too much. I am depleted afterwards. I feel an intrusion with her and a push and pull. I just want to run away or I get tired because I try to block her all the times..really a weard vibe. I needed to understand the mechanics behind that. Thank you

Thos video is very informative and interessting! I thank u for ur work and sharing. I noticed in genetic mateix on my body graph, that my typ is generator. When i display my design graph, then i would be projector. Does this mean my uncounscius aura is projector and my counscoius aura is generator? How can i make sense of this. I‘d love to hear ur opinion.

At first I really like Manifestor but to me they are selfish and don’t see or appreciate Projectors. My manifestor friends approach to things is very one sided and too serious for me. I like it in the beginning and look at him like an older brother but something isn’t clicking.
