I don't think they were "injured or sick", by this time they were reaching the end of the tour and Jessica had left the group after being injured while on tour. It's very obvious by their body language that they were over it.
obviously melody tried but failed. and for ashley, i remember she revealed via twitter or smth that she wasnt feeling so well, and she also apologized for being unprofessional.
what i am saying is that when she broke her rib and got sent home because she could not perform - she decided to leave the group as well. she said it on an interview.
