If we're looking at it as the first destruction of Babylon, then its Cyrus of Persia. If we're looking at it as the second destruction of Babylon then we're talking revelations and it could be the Joel 2 army.

Matt 22:29-30 Jesus relates a passage in which the information can only be found in the book of Enoch and Jubilees. It can not be found in the 66 book Bible. He then precedes to call it scripture. Anyone have any insight on this passage?

@@ahskincare3150 do you think Enoch was the writer of the book? And for the OP, what makes you think He is referring to the book of Enoch in that verse?
@TheExastrologer
@TheExastrologer 2 года назад
@@ahskincare3150 Enoch was not written by Enoch. It was written in the 400 years of silence between the OT and NT. It also conflicts with Scripture in many places. It is mostly Jewish lore and myth. It is focused on angels and the idea that Enoch had secret teachings from God. This is very occultic.

Good question Daryl. Here is the passage you cite. 29 But Jesus answered them, “You are wrong, because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God. 30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven. 31 And as for the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was said to you by God: 32 ‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not God of the dead, but of the living.” The way I see it... Jesus is referring to Scripture in reference specifically to the resurrection of the dead. vs 31-32. I don't think He is saying "haven't you read in Scripture about angels and marriage".

First let’s check the description of Enoch Gen:5:21 to 24 21 And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah: 22 And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: 23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: 24 And Enoch walked with God, and he was not; for God took him. A few things that jump out of the text that are special: 1 - Enoch walked with God. 2 - Enoch is the seventh after Adam ( see nº 7 in God’s perspective ). 3 - Enoch was taken from this earth by God. ( "raptured" same way as Elijah- 2 Kings 2:11) 2 Kings 2:11 11 As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind. 12 Elisha saw this and cried out, “My father! My father! The chariots and horsemen of Israel!” And Elisha saw him no more. Then he took hold of his garment and tore it in two. Min:35:10 - I quote Dr. Peter Gentry -"Evil is here not because of angelic sin, it’s because of ungodly, ungodly, ungodly… impious, impious, impious … I’m sorry to ask have you red Genesis 3? Evil is here because of Satan, the first rebel and father of lies and his seed. This is why man is redeemable but angels are not. Genesis 3 and 6 are connected, let's look at this closely. The prophesy in Genesis 3:14, 15 ( seed of the women vs seed of the serpent ) 14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: 15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Seed of the women: Messiah Seed of the serpent: Nephilim pre-flood and post-flood The rebellion of Genesis 6 is a plan of Satan to pollute the gene pool ( image of God all humans have ) and therefore preventing the future birth of Jesus. Let's see how the enemy plots to oppose God. Genesis 6:1 to 4 1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, 2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all whom they chose. 3 And the LORD said, My Spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. 4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bore children to them, the same became mighty men who were of old, men of renown. this is why the description of of Noah is depicted as it is. let’s now check the description of Noah: Genesis 6:9 to 12 9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. 10 And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. 11The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. 12And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. A few things that jump out of the text that are special: 1 - Noah was a just man 2 - Noah was perfect in his generations ( DNA not corrupted with Nephilim ) 3 - Noah walked with God Why the flood? 12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. This is why man is redeemable but angels are not. If the Holy Spirit guided the church and Enoch ended up not being included in the cannon I'm fine with that, but to dismiss it's contextual relevance for interpretation is a different matter. To point out there are passages left out of interpretation in this video regarding Enochian traditions in the NT II Peter: 4 to 8 is left out, 4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; 5 And spared not the ancient world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; 6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them by a catastrophe, making them an example unto those that later should live ungodly; 7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy behaviour of the wicked: 8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;) Jude 6, 7 is also left out, 6 And the angels who kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day; 7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. Min:1:30 Jude is citing a PROPHESY as we can read in the text. What we call a person who produces prophesy in biblical context? Jude 14, 15 14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, PROPHESIED of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of His saints, 15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convict all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him. God bless, there is only one Truth one Way to Life .... Jesus.
