When riding dirt the twitchy feeling of the bike is natural. Keep up the momentum and the bike will self correct, mostly. Keep riding and your confidence will improve. Thanks for taking us along on your rides.
Hi Saffron People love you , not because your the greatest motorcyclist that ever lived , but because you are out there riding in the face of adversity, Overcoming the fear, the falls and the shit weather you have been through over the years. But you laugh ! You laugh in the face of adversity. Your amazing X
I think so too! My confidence seemed to go up and down a lot over the trip, usually after a big off, I'd kinda waver a little the next day but then my confidence would come back again
Saffy, you did great,as the video progressed ,we could see you getting faster, but note go too fast and you'll miss all that scenery. I've been riding over 40 years and you my dear are living the dream. ❤
Saffy well done your getting then lass, good momentum equals smooth, and smooth is fast. Hey you've come a hell of a long way since you started lass, stop bringing yourself down lass, your doing good.
Awesome to see you out on your bike ❤. Learning to ride on the road is a challenge, but learning to ride off road is so much more of a challenge much harder more technical, but so much more fun. Just keep practicing practising don’t give up. Start off on the easy stuff and slowly work your way up to the more technical stuff. Be safe😊
Hi from Sheffield. Will be doing similar next year hopefully....travelling somewhere anyway. Liking the crf...although...might give the new ktm 390 Adventure a look. Safe travels.
Beautiful light, Spain has a great climate. I've been thinking about your riding and how you might gain confidence. Mountain biking is so close to trail riding, when you're back home you could do some of that every week on local trails., Go as fast as you can standing on the pedals and get used to the shocks travelling up your arms & legs. This will build your stamina too. Re the cold: start with a squashy jacket over your shirt & armour then stuff it in a small rucksack on your back when it warms up. Best of luck!
Hi Saffy. The knack to speed is vision. always lift your head up and look as far as you can see, that way you don't have any surprises, Also look in the distance to get some idea of approaching obstacles and where the road/track goes. The further you look the faster and more confident you will become. Keep it up, great video.
Ooo look, an imposter filling a petrol tank, Saffy would NEVER carry spare fuel for her bike, preferring to add drama of her nearly running out and being stranded.
Riding is not a race Saffy, go as fast as you feel comfortable. You will progress in time, and if you upgrade suspension on that soft CRF you will automatically gain 10km per hour without even trying.
Lovely ride, lovely area! Since nobody wants to make the educational observation, I will: As a mountain man, I am baffled by the lack of preparation you put into traveling in the mountains. You carry a huge bag of medical emergency supplies (which could easily be reduced to less than a quarter), but you fail to bring insulation. Little has changed since your ascent of Stilfser Joch, a while ago. The learning curve seems flat, even in the face of learning to ride the trails, in the foothills of the Pyrenees. So when you suffer hypothermia, my mates in search and rescue will have to risk their arses to get you out? Really? Good thing your trip never exceeded 500m of elevation. Anyway, carry on, keep it safe.
