Woooohoooo! Edit: glad you could have made it to this milestone, I hope that you can continue to grow and also, monke. I have been supporting since 2.8k I believe, and your channel has grown so much so fast since I found it. I am also very glad to have been able to support you throughout the entirety of your channel, and although I did not comment Alot before, I am really happy to say that being able to be noticed as a commenter/ supporter ( from you hearting and sometimes replying to my comments) really means something. I still haven’t joined the discord but when I finally get back to my account I will for sure join, and I hope we can talk then too. I am super happy I have been able to see your growth throughout the channel and some of the people I have met in these comments have been great, especially, one of the people that are featured in this video, Beni, although he probably doesn’t remember me we both have a common interest in the one and only rangy tang, Beni. Anyways, I hope that one day I will be able to even become part of the channel, and watch it grow even more, next step: 100k! Tl;DR: I’m glad I got to watch your channel grow and I am glad I can be recognized as a supporter through comments.
While my question wasn’t in the video, you replied personally and I think that was way cooler to me. If you ever get the chance to give a warm embrace to an orangutan, give another one from me
I was surprised that so many people watch monkey's dressed up like children but how few support the effort of all the great people helping the orangutans.
2:58 One animal channel I can recommend to both of you is Casual Geographic. He educates people about animals in a hilarious way while keeping a straight face. While he usually talks about facts that might disturb some people, he also talks about wholesome stuff. And yes, orangutans have a greater appearance in his wholesome videos.
A note about zoos! As long as the zoo you are going to is accredited, the animals there are there for reasons of conservation(they may be released one day) or inability to survive in the wild as an individual. There's a lot of misinformation about zoos due to the perception that they are there for entertainment. PRIVATE zoos are, and I strongly discourage attending them. But accredited zoos really only allow guests to make sure they can care for the animals and fund research and conservation efforts, all of which are essential ESPECIALLY for orangutans which suffer greatly in the wild due to humans. Conservation efforts try to mitigate this, but deforestation in the name of more farmland and murdering them for existing too close to humans as well as trafficking them for private collections is hard to combat. Zoos are a good thing in the world humans have created. Ideally we wouldn't need them, but we do. And maybe we would have them anyway to help fund research in a perfect world regardless. Who knows. Good accredited zoos have many places for animals to get away from people and offer a quality life. I hope this soothes some tension.
