Training film for car workers at the Austin Allegro and Morris Marina factories in 1977, showing the importance of quality control. There's a good few familar faces in this great little film. Lovers of the Austin Allegro will enjoy footage of the Austin Allegro Police car. Other cars featured include the Austin Princess and the Morris Marina.

Having Sid, Denzel, Arthur and Poirot in the team, what do you expect?

I really like the looks of the Austin Princess. Looks comfy, too. British cars were so nice in concept, but unfortunately so bad in execution that it killed their entire car industry.

As being born and raised working on classic minis and an BMC fan. I don't think that most of the original designs were rubbish as populary suggested. But I find that for most things to be assembled on a BMC/BL product. It leaves out a lot of the end result, to be depending on the know-how of the assembler. Because it seems that everything needs to be tinkered with and adjusted exactly spot on to just make it work.

I take it this was an instruction manual for BL on how to make even worse cars, not better ones.

Quality did improve but it wasn't enough.

All the car's look like they were designed by a grandad.

Might have by now, as the designs are from the 70s.
