All of this might have been avoided if Travis Hackett had identified himself as Chris' brother and told the two in the tutorial that he knew no one was at the camp, told some story about how Chris was with his kids at their mom's house while dad and the younger brother were out hunting in the woods. I say 'might', because it seems entirely in Laura's character to override Max and make him go to the camp anyway.
But in that case, the main antagonist Silas would survive, keeping the curse and keeping terrorising poor people. Although, on the one hand werewolves like Caleb, Chris, Kaylee would survive, but on the other hand bearing the curse.
@@candythepooper7010 Not necessarily, as I think Travis was getting the right idea of where Silas might have been before he had to detour to the lodge. It was probably Bobby or the dad noting the extra car that forced him to cut his hunt short.
Same here; this is like the sixth playthrough I've searched up! Nothing wrong with the others, just...I would prefer not to watch a field amputation, y'know?
I 90% blame Jacob and 10% blame Chris. He coulda lied and said his sheriff brother told him there's a rabid bear loose in the woods so the kids should hide in the cabin while he and his family took it out. Granted, he's a werewolf and probably felt the "change" upon him so wasn't thinking straight.
Just have to say, I'm not even five minutes into this and the voice acting has already completely sold me. Max and Laura do a freaking amazing job. This sounds so natural and smooth, like a real paced conversation two people would have. And later, I realize, holy shit does it get better. Constance (Travis' mother)'s whole reaction to Kaylee turning up dead is just heart-wrenchingly real. Imagine being in Travis' shoes, having to tell your mother your carelessness got her granddaughter killed.
The acting is really great for all the characters (except some of Ryan's expressions and deliveries here and there). They really sold the characters, unlike some of the Dark Pictures games... *cough* Man of Medan *cough*
So i just spent 6 hours watching some playthrough with "best ending" when i saw they killed the hackett. I went around looking for better ending and when i found this video everyone lives, anyone who could be saved is saved and dylan also kept his hand??? THIS IS THE BEST ENDING. I feel like i just wasted 6+ hours watching some useless video. I'm glad i found this one.
@@patrickkanas3874 Yeah, at the very least 3 characters have to die in this game, which for the true best ending it's Kaylee, Chris and Silas. The former is unavoidable, while the latter two's survival is at the expense of others' lives. Technically you can also only have Kaylee, Ryan and Laura die (if Ryan shoots Laura instead of Chris), which is also only 3 deaths, but that's definitely way less of a best ending.

Dylan’s & Kaitlyn’s conversation while going to the scrapyard was so cute, truly shows that they’re really good friends & want to keep it the way even if they both like the same person
Hey, um... When the mention of werewolves was brought up in the jail cells, why didn't the cop tell them "Hey, my brother got bit by a werewolf. So, he's just like your boyfriend. That's why I wanted you to stay in the motel before you put down my brother faster than Old Yeller or he would've killed you kids."? All of that helpful information would've been a helluva lot better than "I'm gonna be a sketchy dirty cop that people wouldn't trust when they see the 3-digit number for no reason."
Is anyone else having an issue with the sound cutting out? Or is it just me? I love this game, and the playthrough shows me what I hadn't seen, it's just that the sound cuts out at certain moments. Like the beginning music and when Abi is walking in the woods with that one guy
Seen a couple of people complain about the silent parts in this walkthrough where the music is cut out. I've seen lots of other playthroughs where people have been copyright claimed even when using streamer mode so this guy is probably just trying to be on the safe side. I understand it probably makes viewing this walkthrough a bit janky at times but honestly it's not really their fault... 🙄 Great walkthrough btw! I certainly enjoyed it and all your choices!
Ngl, I really enjoyed this game/ the story, but the ending felt pretty anticlimactic tbh. I feel like there was a lot of potential for an interesting ending w/ Silas & Eliza, especially since we know nothing of their history (i.e. how she has magic, how he became a werewolf, etc), but what we got was just a big let down. I kinda wish they rereleased the game w/ a better ending lol. I also find it kinda weird that small decisions at the very beginning of the game (where you hv no clue what's going on) were so important to the survival of certain characters.
@@patrickkanas3874 You can't make a sequel to a game where the whole point is to see what characters you manage to keep alive and who you end up getting killed lol, it would necessitate a canon ending to the original game. The reason for this game's end feeling rushed or anticlimactic is covid screwing up production. Jacob's actor said they had to remove/abandon 20% of content from the game, most of which was supposed to be very late in the game.
I *really* liked the story in this game, but I wasn't a fan of the acc design of the werewolves tbh. I hated how: 1) the werewolves were hairless & lanky (like Lupin's werewolf form from Harry Potter) rather than acc having fur & looking more like a dog/ wolf (like in Van Helsing, or Goosebumps). It also felt kinda of lazy bcos it was so similar to the wendigos from Until Dawn. 2) the werewolves just explode their skin off. I get that it makes it more horror-esque, but it doesn't make much sense imo - why would they need to grow a new layer of skin each time they transform rather than just shapeshift? It's also gross lol. Plus, if they acc had fur it would've been much easier to distinguish the different werewolves, especially Silas/ the "white wolf" (aka albino werewolf), bcos I couldn't even tell there was supposed to be one until they told us.
Silas was originally supposed to be much whiter than he ended up being, idk why they changed it. No one would be able to realize that it was actually the white wolf/Silas at the radio hut in Chapter 5 and at the scrapyard in Chapter 9.
After Jacob went down I went "Are you getting them all bit?"; heard myself say that and realized 'Yeah, that makes sense'. Turning them is both a valid survival tactic /and/ a chad move. Edited to add I /love/ Dylan keeping his hand.
I'm a gamer my entire life and damn, just when I believe I'm not going to see any better graphics, or be impressed by a new videogame with better graphics, and then boom! here it is. Ray tracing, smooth motion capture, immersive gameplay. I mean, how close are we to seeing computer graphics being 99.99% close to real life? I'd say less than a decade. Gaming is getting more and more immersive everyday. What a time to live in. Mind blown.
I wish there was a way to save Chris *and* Ryan. Kinda sucks that it's one or the other. Ngl, Constance & Jebediah are the only characters I'm ok w/ dying, so I wouldn't mind if we had to sacrifice them to save Chris lol.
Hi. Question, is this truly the best possible ending or is it like some others where they say that but its not actually true like clickbait? Ive read that all the counselors and some Hackett family members can survive and the teens dont get arrested by finding all the clues also the curse gets broken so does that happen in this video or not? Just so i dont waste more time watching smth for it not to be what i expect 😅
@@ayaharake6828 Idk if it's *the best* ending, but it is one where everyone (apart from Kaylee & Chris) survives. The teens still get arrested (haven't see one where they don't tbh), Constance & Jebediah survive, & you don't get to see Dylan & Ryan become a couple, so *best* is subjective depending on your priorities lol.
In all fairness to Constance and Jebediah, if you spent six years watching your child and grandchildren turn into bloodthirsty monsters once a month, you'd probably go insane and get a little heartless when someone threatened your attempts to cure them also. I personally wouldn't have been that upset to see Emma die
I'm gonna bet my college fund that the dialogue was written by some out of touch Boomer. "I heard my grandson using this word on a discord call, I have no idea what it means, but it sounds cool! so let's use it!"
So what? It's supposed to be a chessy 90's slasher made into a multiple choice video game. Of course the dialogue is gonna be stupid. That's what makes it fun.
@@kingcamelot1395 Fair point, but I think that Until Dawn pulled off the 80s slasher concept better than The Quarry. If Until Dawn was the original work. The Quarry would be the Kidz-Bop version of it.

I guess the background music playing on that scene was copyrighted and had to mute rather than removing that part with copyrighted audio. I might be wrong about this

Did you use streamer mode? Cause there are large parts where it is completely silent. You also missed a lot of interactive stuff. Other than that great vid 👍

I got nothing against the creator of this video I just kinda hate how when there's no sound at certain parts and they claim that they don't want copy right problems but every walk through I've seen of this game has sound throughout the whole walkthrough and none of them have gotten a copy right problem so I just kinda think it's stupid

Also in assassins creed odyssey it is canon that the player is straight based off the fact that the player has direct descendants but yet people like you cried about it and got it changed but I guess canon is only important when it’s in line with your ideology. I've beaten this game for the first time and I let everyone else live only made to mistake by by letting Laura get stabbed and forgot to click the button down instead of up but she lived
It doesn’t really matter if you get her stabbed, her she will be bitten by Max no matter what, and if someone gets bit, they have like armor or something

So, it is safe to say that no matter which best way possible to save Hackett's Fam and all Counselor's, by making them infected/not infected, seems that Chris and Kaylee is the lost cause, which is shame that it would be an amazing ending if its possible to save every Hackett's Fam.
Ok, I like the video cause of the best quality 4K HD with some good bright, but I also was waiting to see ALL the evidence, ALL the tarot cards, you miss some part of the process which affect don't matter if they were infected, and ALL the best choices. Also some part of the video was having trouble with the audio...
Multiple parts are silent which kinda ruined it... there are other channels with the good ending that aren't silent. This was the only silent one that seems to cut the sound on important parts... moving on.
Because later in the game, at the start of chapter two, if you squash the spider as Jacob in the first chapter, then when you’re playing as Emma in the store you get the choice to scare Jacob with the mask or the spider, and if you throw it at Jacob it’ll scare Jacob and make him scream like a girl. Not like trying to be humorous, but he does scream like a girl.
Welp, it depend how u feel cuz some pple just need to keep all possible pple to alive they dont care abt how they survive tbh, but some will think that the best ending will be no one been bitten
It's the sheriff that Travis replaced (due to him dying in the fire at the sideshow). When Eliza investigates the body after succeeding the QTE she can see the charred badge (that the player can find as a clue) on his belt. The newspaper clue has his name listed as one of the confirmed casualties.
Not best choices because Ryan is not into girls, he is homosexual. You have to kiss Dylan. If you are not supporting the LGBT community, at least respect the characters sexual preferences. Thanks.
@@garrybluerose4479Yes, but Ryan was way more interested in Dylan than he was Kaitlyn. Ryan and Dylan have been said to be canon, do not say they aren’t 😂 (Their flirting interaction in the cabin, Ryan saying Dylan could share his earbuds, etc.)
Okay so i started playing this game and thought it be a great guide but you literally have 3 ppl so far bitten and i havent gotten one bitten so no offense but this was a bad gameplay if you want to actually keep everyone safe.
Getting bit makes the characters impossible to get killed by the werewolf, thus making them easier to save. You clearly don't know sh*t about the game lmao.
This is the worst writing I have ever heard in a game, it sounds like an AI wrote it while it was high as fuck. Who talks like this? I understand it’s supposed to be a cheesy 80s horror spoof but holy God some of the lines and the delivery of them from the actors make me legitimately wonder how anyone approved this as a finished product and said that is good character dialogue.
