Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip have met Pope Francis in the Vatican City. This is an extended version of their meeting, at which they exchanged gifts, including a drinks and preserves produced on the royal estates, like Balmoral.
Just love it! "My doctor,...my policeman,...my husbands policeman". Although the pope has the same officials....he seemed to be thinking like.."Why am I being introduced to her staff!" God Bless HRH Queen Elizabeth II. R.I.P.
I suspect that she intentionally brought with her those of her staff who were Roman Catholic, and who would be particularly delighted to meet the Pope.
My Grandmother presented to Her Majesty in court. Wore the most gorgeous black pearl necklace, and from what I heard, Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth is just lovely! ❤️
My goodness, with all the technology we've got and no one has yet invented a silent camera!!!!! The parties can barely speak and hear one another amidst the noise of the clicks!
Surely they could ask the press to get photos at a certain point and then tell them to clear off? This is horrendous, why 3 elderly people of their status should endure this is beyond me.
some of those photographers are official ones employed by the queen or the vatican so they take multiple shots for PR and historical documentation purposes
LysIris Anglicanism is a form of Protestantism. Plus, it’s the Anglican Church of English (hence Angl=English) not of the United Kingdom. Because Scotland also has a Protestant church called the Church of Scotland (Calvinisme) of which Queen Elizabeth is NOT the Head. And there really isn’t much of a difference between the two, it’s just nationalized for historical reasons.
People like to hate Catholics but Catholics just love them.... That's the teaching of the church, I am a Catholic, and though other religions used to hate us or mock our religion as if they're a lot cleaner, the Pope didn't say to hate them back or say something against them, if some of the catholic priests have done criminal doings then let them face it but don't be angry with the church, because what they do is them to overcome, don't blame the father for his sons individual mistakes..
Respect and dignity speak volumes. Her Majesty is so remarkable at all times. Beloved and dearly missed Prince Phillip is always the perfect consort. This certainly shows us Her Royal Highness's thoughtfulness demonstrated in the introduction of her personal entourage .It is a special encounter at the Vatican, a highlight in all of our lives. Long live Queen Elizabeth II. and may her extended family always remain close and happy in gatherings cherishing the memories of the past, present, and future! Blessings forever!
Really lovely. The only occasion when she met someone of equal or superior status. The Queen was a class act. I’m no royalist but appreciated her skill and diplomacy. Think she was genuinely humble.
Such a Lovely and Incredible Queen. She introduced her staff and made the effort to show that they are important too. That is why She is the Best. I Love her very much. God Bless you Your Majesty. I Love You ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
They have...they are mirrorless. Unfortunately the lens selection to go with the mirrorless camera body is only a couple vs 20+ different lenses for non mirrorless.
Royal fragments of our contemporary world that'll stay with us all forever. I like to hear Her speaking to the Pope. Besides their great roles in society, they were lovely human beings.
@@deminada3964 Really?!?! He is not?! Of course he is an Italian and Spanish speaker, but Latin is the official language of the Catholic Church!!! Ignorant?!!? Why you offend people without knowing them?!
At least he tried to be somewhat creative, instead of giving her the Angel of Peace medallion and a copy of his encyclical that he usually gives everyone...
The comment section is complaining about how much they hate the pope, or queen, or both, and I'm just sitting here complaining about that damn camera shuttering.
....they need the pictures for their propaganda...you know, to make the dumb masses believe they are just innocent old folks instead if the monsters that they are..
@@jenscoconuts That Popes not an innocent old folk but go easy on Her Mag. she couldn't get another job. Its the only thing she is good at. Cheers to her.
In honor the Queen yes, but in jurisdictions queen it's not the head of the whole Anglican church the same way pope is. There is no thing as pope in the rest of Christianity and it's because most of Christianity consider supremacy of one bishop as not historical and not biblical
@@matiasgamalieltolmosuarez790 "Most of Christianity" that is the Catholic Church, does indeed consider "one bishop" ie, the Pope, as completely historical and biblical.
@@thomashogan4908 Nop, most of Christianity is referring to most of Christian traditions, not to population, and even if I was talking about population Catholics are half of Christianity, not an overwhelming majority. And I don't understand how can u comment these things just to bother, it's clear I wasn't talking about catholicism but other traditions, your comment is just to annoy, I hope you could have the spirit of your Pope and be more respectful with others
@@matiasgamalieltolmosuarez790 If one includes the Orthodox, who are 95% Catholic in their traditions and sacraments, Catholics are indeed an overwhelming majority. And why do you feel it a "mission" to annoy me, by disparaging my Faith? And I guess by your name you have given up Catholicism. What man talked you out of it? Because God could never do so.
@@thomashogan4908 what? I notice you that when someone talk about Christianity in percentage or population, is the academic definition of Christianity, which includes catholicism (not just roman Catholics), orthodoxy (not just eastern orthodoxy), PROTESTANTISM (and evangelicalism), and others. You are so subjective that I really dislike that conversation, do whatever you want, love you live, and I don't matter what religion you follow, it's your business. I was just answering a comment about ANGLICANISM, not about you or your church
in all true sense..he is a true prince.. lived life to the fulllest.. enjoyed all royality yet no pressure of responsibility on him.. plus his charming personality.. oh my god.. this couple.. i want to meet them so so badly.. oh god plz listen to me
She's either unbelievably old or you need to check your counting:- when she born Pius XI when she was married Pius XII when Margaret married John XXIII In her Silver Jubilee year Paul VI The year after John Paul I First Papal visit to UK John Paul II Her Diamond Jubilee year Benedict XVI And today Francis That makes 8
She has made well her promise to serve us as Monarch. No other statesman in living history can attest to her experience, quiet diplomacy & sheer staying power. Her father would be proud of her. A stable influence in ever changing times. The best of British!
Following in the footsteps of her far-seeing great grand father Edward VII who, over the objections of the UK Cabinet, visited the Pope in his capacity of Head of State. That visit went off surprisingly well inspite of everyone's misgivings. Queen Elizabeth is carrying on an excellent tradition.
1- It would be SOME more recent ancestors of her , not him .The Papal office is not hereditary and no known ancestor of Jorge Mario Bergoglio was a Pope 2- Some of her ancestors .The Rose Houses , the Plantaginent , the Normans and the old Kings of Angland would be apalled by Protestantism . 3-Many would be glad there is no more slaughter between the two in northern Europe .
God bless us let us help one another to back to normal our situation and back to school the children and youth. In God all things are possible po. From Lani D. Nepomuceno, Philippines
Watch THIS. It is one of the most important events that has taken place in the history of Christianity in the last 100 years or more. THis is Westminster Abbey. It is not an ordinary Church of England Church. It is specifically the Queen's church. So here is Pope Benedict, who has accepted an invitation from the Queen's Dean, John Hall. And the Pope is walking beside the Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, who looks amazingly grand. Benedict is so happy he is practically hugging himself. What he probably does not know is that the Sacristan has chosen the St Peter Banner to carry before the Pope, as a sign that he is the Spiritual descendant of St Peter, first Bishop of Rome....... And the Hymn they are singing was written for Westminster Abbey by Purcell, more than 300 years ago. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cR9NHXnbxlU.html
Personally, I think the Queen is wonderful for what she does for our country and for the Commonwealth. She's given over 60 years of unbroken, faultless duty to this country and she deserves way more credit than she gets. She's fantastic for a lady of 88 too, brilliant memory and so much stamina and enthusiasm for her work still after all these years. Long Live The Queen!
She's absolutely timeless. I LOVE that she didn't dress herself all in black and wear a black cloth on her head as other women seem to need to do when meeting the Pope. Lovely lavender. God save the Queen.
