I'm 35 years old, 7.10am here in the UK and just on RU-vid and randomly thought of The queen's nose. Typed into here and this comes up. Brilliant memories. Not just of this program but the best years of my life, as a kid in the 90's. I wish I could go back in time. Much nicer place to live and easier life back then than now a days. The only worry I had was which friend to go call on that day ❤️
I'm 29, and it's 1:54am, and I just thought of the Queens Nose, and here I am. I used to watch it on CBBC, and every time, the opening would trip me out. Makes me remember about all the amazing films, shows, and cartoons in the late 90s and early 2000s. Playing out and going to school with no care in the World was truly beautiful.
I am 35 years old too. This song just randomly came into my head at 1.30 in the morning and I played it on the piano to try and Shazam it. My friend eventually remmebered what it was! 😂
...I feel like life just isnt the same anymore after this era, nothing even comes close to how this time of my life made me feel. man I miss my childhood
I remember flicking through my 5 channels to try and find something to watch. BBC 1: Queens Nose, BBC 2: Weakest Link, ITV 1: Bernard's Watch, C4: Countdown, C5: Can't remember but it was probably a true story about a dog that could fly! I used to think 5 channels was a lot!
I saw this comment, thought ‘omg me too!’ Then I saw that it’s five years old! But it was on telly when I was little. It was the series where they’re at a care home maybe? Like there’s loads of them being fostered maybe, something like that, not the series with Harmony and so on.
This high end level of musicianship on TV themes intro and outro were so dam indicative on Terrestrial TV from the mid 70's all the way through to the mid 90's .So wheres it all gone?
Thanks so much for uploading this! Used to love this growing up. It's a shame kids TV doesn't seem like this anymore. Haven't found any full episodes of shows like this online either, but guess it's nice to have the memories.
It's amazing how much has changed since the 1990s: shows like The Queen's Nose seem to hail from another era. The theme tune is beautiful and the series had quite intricate storylines. It didn't patronise children with simplistic scripting. Nowadays you'd have to watch BBC4 for this kind of sophistication.
You're so right, 1990-2014 were the Golden years of childrens television. Such a shame 2014 onwards declined into unrealistic moral of the story writing with no grit.
Robert Feld tell me about it! going through the shows nowadays.... jeez, in our day we had everything! Pokemon, yugioh, jackie chan adventures, tmnt, fairly odd parents... it's endless!
What a FANTASTIC show this was. There's nothing like this for kids anymore. I remember the melodramatic sister, 'Melody'. She'd throw a hissy fit over any little thing!
why they wont release this series on dvd is beyond me it was my favourite tv programme when I was little. My mum managed to buy me a video with the first two episodes on and after that she couldnt get any more. I looked on ebay and amazon and its now considered collectible! one day they may make me happy!
i LOVED this programme, and i ALWAYS REMEMBER...that i used to see if i could stare at these patterns all the way through without blinking, i think i did it once lol
Your not the only one pal. I used to fancy Harmony (Victoria Shalet) too. This was great kids tv back in the day. It was shows like this that had great story telling, something that kids tv today lacks.
Well, this was the first time I've heard this music in, I don't know.. maybe 12 years, 13? Loved the series when I was young. I don't remember a lot of the episodes though. I remember the one in which the family one a competition to stay in a house, but the care takr was a ghost, and I have a random memory of the family asking for fish and chips, and receiving an actual fish and a potato. I remembr the last episode in which this old man came back and talked to Harmony about a Yettee..
I grew up in the 90's - some great programs were made then like this, bernards watch, the worst witch and a good few others - all great works of entertainment!
OMFG !! THIS WAS MY BESTT PROGRAMME !! OF ALL TIMEE !! I LOVEE ITT SO FUKIIN MUCHH !! I WANNA MARRY IT LMAOOO !! THIS BRINGS BACK SO MANY MEMORIESS MANN! Ahh godd i wish theyy brung thiss backk :(
@xLittleMissBallroomx thats so true, in this era children were children not trying to adults. i miss this time, never can get it back.this theme tune used to sound so sad though
no waayyyy, literally the related videos is my childhood paaah, queens nose, bernhards watch and animals of farthing wood FTW. i was a right spaz, still am obviously otherwise i wudnt be so excited by all this nostalgia.
I never really watched the show, prefering cartoons, but the opening and outro used to really tug at me. Its a beautiful peice and the kaliedoscope effect
i loved this show when i was a kid, but the harmony episodes were so much better!! looking back the theme tune reminds me of the bbc version of narnia, beautiful!
