The Quiet is a 2005 American psychological thriller film directed by Jamie Babbit and starring Elisha Cuthbert, Camilla Belle, Martin Donovan, and Edie Falco. It focuses on a deaf-mute teenage orphan who is sent to live with her godparents. She soon becomes a sounding board for the family members, who confess their darkest secrets to her, including the incestous relationship between her godfather and his teenage daughter.

0:40 She was. I think she was in Roland Emmerich's _10,000 B.C._ and the _When a Stranger Calls_ remake, as well. This movie sounds weird, though.

I've Always had crush on Elisha Cuthbert LOL ever since I was 13 years that was when I 1st saw The Girl Next Door 2004, I was Born in 2006 & now I'm 18 years old & I still consider Elisha Cuthbert 1 of the Most Beautiful Ladies, she's a Goddess IMO

I have heard of this film but never checked it out, seemed too weird for my taste. 4:26 Yeah she is good in Girl Next Door and the underrated House Of Wax remake although does have a bad performance in that awful 2007 horror Hostel rip off film CAPTIVITY

I have a soft spot for this one. It's a Interesting film somewhat, I don't mind the acting, I will say the ending was pretty odd🤔 and confusing.

Great review Matt, I might check out The Quiet 2005, cause I really Like Elisha Cuthbert, she's very Talented & very Underrated Actress, cause I Liked her in The Girl Next Door 2004 & House Of Wax Remake I Love those there definitely my Favorites of her's, I Liked Captivity it was Ok but pretty Flawed Film that was Similar to Saw & Hostel, it's an Ok Movie, it's Too Bad her career didn't continue as Successful like other Actresses, cause I Quite Like her Too, I've Always Found very Attractive, very Beautiful, & Extremely HotToo

Thanks for the review Matt,nice job as usual One of the reasons why I watched this is for Elisha Cuthbert (big fan of her & her work in House Of Wax remake & The Girl Next Door) She did the best she could with the script she was given,same with Edie Falco (at times she looked she was stoned) The movie was really weird but at same it could interesting if wasn’t for questinable direction (like that stupid slow,as bad as stuttering slow-mo from The Watcher with Keanu) and frickin cringe dialogues
