Oh my I stumbled 0n your channel tonight. I am 77 and became handicapped 5 years ago from an accident. I was afraid I could no longer sew and make quilts or raise my veggie garden in the spring and summer. I have worked hard and I have made numerous quilts for family and friends plus a few for charity. I also still grow my garden in raised boxes and large containers and have not missed one season even the year I got hurt. God bless you and you have made me fell better about going on life is not over ,
Boy am I glad I found you. I am 76 and developing limitations with mobility. You will serve as my inspiration. I don't have or want a longarm but I do have a Sweet Sixteen I love and your videos are perfect. Thank you a bunch.

YOU are my favorite TouTube machine quilting teacher! Your designs are beautiful to watch and to admire. LOVE that you don't chatter during their construction and am shocked to learn you are disabled as well as non-hearing. Not only are you an amazing and skillful quilter, but also an amazing example of determinatioin. Thank you for showing up on RU-vid frequently.
Thank you for YOUR inspiration, both inspiration via your art, but also for your strength. I MQ, but sometimes watch your artistic MQ'ing to calm my soul. Your work is so incredibly artistic, I just want to constantly watch.
Good morning Julie Ann! I recently found you on RU-vid and love your quilting style. God bless you, your health and your determination to keep doing what you love! Thank you for sharing ❤ you inspire me!
I’m learning to free motion quilt. Now that I’m retired I can dedicate lots of time to it. I watch and rewatch your you tubes many times. I practice and practice your lessons. This week I finally “got in the zone”. As you said it’s really meditative. Thank you so much!
Hello Julieanne, Your signing caught my eye so I watched your video. I am not deaf, but sign. (As an interpreter years ago, but now when I meet with deaf friends in our quilting group). it is nice to see how you are able to continue quilting and sewing. I will continue to watch your videos and share with my deaf friends.
I recently got a difficult cancer diagnosis. Your story is so inspiring to me! So proud of u for keeping on with what u love doing! Working on quilts has been something I really enjoy in this time of my life! Blessings to u, God bless!
I an enjoying your videos alot. I decided to watch your intro video and was truly impressed. I didn't start to quilt until 2013 and I taught myself. This happened because our youngest child who we adopted at three months of age was born with spina bifida and is a paraplegic. In 2013 she was in hospital away from home because we live in northern ontario canada and don't have access to the needed medical help. She underwent her 37th surgery and we spent 3 months in hospital. As a form of trying to get rid of the stress of watching her suffer I decided to watch you tube and learn to quilt. It took a long time but the stree went away. I had commented to you that I didn't think I could do this FMQ but I am going to try. Thank you.❤
Hello! I stumbled onto your FMQ videos the other day and have been watching and learning but did wonder who you were! Thank you for sharing your story and allowing me a window into your world.
Hey Denise! I’m teaching quilting classes for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing in Little Rock. First class will be on Saturday, March 25! Come down and join us. I would absolutely love to see you! Bring Bill, he can keep Jim in line for me!
Isn’t Julie Ann an awesome name? Thank you for subscribing to my RU-vid channel. I just launched my first newsletter today! Please subscribe or follow The Quilting Nerd on Facebook, Instagram, RU-vid, and my website! I look forward to getting acquainted with you, JulieAnn!
@@thequiltingnerd475 yes am a quilter, had to stop for a while due to illness, but raring to go now 😆. It's a pleasure to meet you too💜 It's like everything else when learning something new, it takes time. Looking forward to seeing you thrive and grow your channel.☺️ Maggie 💜
New Year 🎉🎉🎉 Blessing. I have mobility issues. What a joy your attitude is. I was a teacher until 2016. I was forced into retirement because of medical issues as well as my knees/arthritis. Your friend from New Mexico 🎶💐💖
Thank you for sharing your story. I have been following you for the past few months. Watching you quilt, I am amazed. You have taught me so much by just watching your videos. Thanks for helping all of us who are new.
I thought I saw the love u sign in the thumbnail. Rightbackattcha! I had a heart fart in 2018 that really derailed my life. I had to stop using pins because I didn't want to bleed on my fabric now I use the clippies. They're great.😂 I do everything on my regular machine. Mostly art quilts so you don’t notice boo-boos from shaking hands. Anyhoo, you rock! Thanks for your inspiration, sharing and caring. Hugs😊
Hi Diane! It is so nice to meet you here! Aren’t the clippies awesome? I have the shakes in my right hand. You mentioned that you do art quilt. Would you be willing to share photos of your beautiful creations? Pretty please? 🤓🤟🏻
@thequiltingnerd475 I'd be honored to share! My tablet just ate its SD card, so I need to do some organizing and recovery work. I hope you find this note, I don’t know if the link to you will work or not. I'm still figuring utube out. 😆 🤣 thanks again, Diane
You are amazing and your speech is wonderful. I used to write sermons for a lady at church because she was deaf. Way to go! Subscribed! I’ll also give you a shoutout on my channel! Go Girl!
It is so nice to meet the person that I have enjoyed watching as she free motion quilts so wonderfully. I do admire you for continuing to do what you can and love to do. I have many sketches from watching you on RU-vid. Jazzy Razorback Hog is so cool and has helped you to continue with your work and art. I live in the Houston area but I am originally from Benton, Arkansas. I hope that you inspire other disabled people to find a way to try to find a way to continue. Dana Robbins
Thank you for sharing. You will be such an inspiration to so many people. Best wishes to you and much success in your endeavors. Looking forward to following you on your journey ❤️.
Hi Esperansa, I am using an APQS Millie Longarm Machine. Do you have a longarm machine? If not, are you interested? If so, I am an APQS dealer and can answer questions or lead you to an APQS dealer in your area.
