"We have access to library but not the washrooms.. Whats the logic ?" asks Rahee Shruti Ganesh, a student of Final year BA who was one of the students protesting in front of main building of Fergusson college. Few students had gathered holding placards in their hand and were shouting slogans at the circle in front of the college main building.
Their demand, access to the ladies washroom in the campus on holidays and late in the night. They had to launch a protest for their basic right.
Fergusson is one of the most reputed colleges in Pune. It recently got autonomous stature and was also declared as college of excellence by UGC on the basis of the quality of education and the facilities provided on the campus. Ironically the basic facility and right for girls remain ignored.
